When the monster created wings I felt kind of relieved and scared at the same time, if he could do that all the time then why didn't he do it when he chased me into the forest before, was that all planned by him? It doesn't matter now since he will probably be the one to save me

"You did a good job finding him for us Johan, now leave him to me"

the monster said, it then flew at it while transforming his hand into a big crab's claw

"That's how you use a claw!"

He said as he used his crab claw to chop the other monster in half, it then created kicked the remaining of its body at me, the monster girl's body was slowly regenerating but before it could fully heal the monster quickly stabbed it with a blade created by a swordfish's nose, and out of nowhere some people dressed in a hazard suit came and secured the monster girl with something like a cage

"Now that this problem is resolved how about a walk? I bet that you are stunned and confused"

the monster said as he offered me a hand to get up, I got up on my own

"Tell me how to return to my home!"

"Now that you know all this there is no way we can let you go Johan so please try to cooperate and if you don't then we can easily replace you"

he said as he walked past me, when I turned around I finally realized what place we were in, it was something like an underground base but it was different, the place had multiple bridges crossing one side of the area to the other, but somehow this is continued almost infinitely upwards and downwards too

"Weird place huh? Wait until you hear about us too, then you can decide what is crazier"

He said with a smile as he waited for me, I had no choice but to walk with him, the two of us walked on a bridge in this great circular room and when we reached the end of it there was an elevator waiting for us, we got inside and the monster pressed a button that had a weird symbol on it, when he pressed it the elevator slowly took us up, no down I think

"This is going to take a while so do you want to hear the story of this place?"

the monster asked me

"Sure why not, it's not like I can refuse"

I said as I sat down

"You may think that we are monsters but the truth is very different, we are simply criminals working under the Old world foundation, what is the Old world foundation I hear you asking? It's an alliance that Europe, Asia, and Africa created so we can contain dangerous creatures and monsters that were created by the Illuminati, do you know what Illuminati is?"

"Something like the higher-ups, I don't really know I only heard about them on the radio"

"The Illuminati were a group of very intelligent and powerful people that played god too much, they were trying to create a new type of animals, animals that would have ignored all the rules of science and logic but what they ended up creating were god-like creatures that rule over us until this day, those monsters are the reason so many people are starting to missing or why the big earthquake in America happened, well the last part was false but everyone suspects them but not us, since we know what happened"

I was very confused about this whole thing and the monster didn't make it easier to understand

"I still don't get what this place is or why monsters like you exist"

the monster laughed

"I'm not a monster Johan, I'm simply a subject created by the Russian government to fight against the American army in World war II"

"Wait world war II? Can you please explain everything from the start?"

"You are right! You are nothing but a plain high school kid so you don't know anything. So let's start from the beginning, The Illuminati were a group of people that lived at 1237 and were all doctors, one day they found a weird rock that came from space, this rock had the ability to grand people powers, those doctors took advantage of this rock and used it for their own purposes, as I said earlier they tried playing god and their plan turned around on them, multiple god-like creatures were created and doomed their whole organization transforming them into mindless monsters like the one I just fought before, those god-like creatures used their power to create a pocket dimension with multiple purposes but for mainly hiding, but one day the Russian army after the first world war tried to find a way to make their power the most fearsome on the world so they created a portal that lead to this pocket dimension that I told you, once they entered in this pocket dimension they were exposed to the creatures Illuminati created and were transformed to monsters like the one we captured, please tell me you understand now..."

He told me with a tired look

"And what makes you different from those monsters?"

"Well the Russian army learned how to deal with the monster and captured some of them and stole their DNA and mixed them with our human DNA creating what you see right in front of you"

He said as he pointed at himself

"So you are a human? It's very surprising to hear that from you, so... How do I fit in all of this?"

"I can't answer that, you simply have to see for yourself once we arrive at our destination"

He said as he took a smoking pipe out of his pocket, he then started smoking, and after all this talk we still hadn't arrived at our destination, I then remained silent for the remaining 5 minutes we spent on the elevator, when we finally reached our destination I was surprised, we found ourselves on a huge room with nothing inside it but a big wooden door, the monster guy walked without any signs of fear but when he noticed I didn't follow him he turned around and asked me

"Why are you not coming?"

Does he really not notice the monster in the corner of this room? The monster had long limbs and paper-white skin and was slightly shaking

"I'm not coming close to that..."

As I was about to point my finger at the monster I was pushed away from my spot and I'm thankful about it since if I wasn't pushed then I would have been crushed by the monster

"Can you see me? You can see me right? Please tell me if you can see me! Are you there? Did you leave"

the monster said over and over again in its creepy voice while shaking its long and skinny limbs

"What are you doing Johan? Get up and let's go to the next floor"

He told me that while he completely ignored the existence of the monster, am I the only person who sees it? No that's impossible since he was the one that pushed me away from this monster's attack, I'm way too confused now

"Come on don't act like a kid!"

he told me as he helped me get up, we then walked together to the elevator but my head was focused on the monster, once we got into the elevator the monster guy pressed a button and we started moving

"What was..."

Before I could finish the monster guy shat my mouth with his hand, after feeling a weird shake he started moving, and then he spoke up

"The monster you saw down there was one of the monsters I mentioned"

"What the hell was wrong with it? It simply stood still after attempting an attack"

"This monster is a very special case, you see this monster is a Tier 8 monster and most specifically a multi-city block level, thanks for us monster hunters managed to blind him, and with a little help from the manipulation power we managed to convince it that it doesn't exist, but you see this being is highly intelligent so when someone speaks about it directly or indirectly it activates a killing mode, we can easily bypass it by not talking about it, and because of its dead-like state we can take DNA from him and creating other monster hunters"

he told me as the shaky elevator moved us

"Then why did you close my mouth when we were inside the elevator?"

"Do you think that it couldn't reach us?"

He asked me as he stared into my eyes, I didn't reply since I knew the answer

After some time the elevator opened and I was doomed to see that we were back in London, the only way I could tell was because we were inside the BIG BEN!

"How did we get here?"

I asked confused

"This is a dimension portal we are exploiting, we do this with multiple portals so we can travel around the world"

He told me as he began to walk down the big ben, on your way down we came across some police officers, that's when I knew we were screwed, they tried to question us but before they could say anything the monster guy took out something like a police badge

"I'm Nicolas Turn and I'm from the OWF (Old world foundation)"

Nothing more had to be said, the guards walked out of the way, and Nicolas and I walked out of the big ben as if nothing happened

Finally! I returned to the real world, no monsters were roaming around or an endless wallpaper, I was finally free from this hell

"Don't you dare run away from me or I will hunt you down"

Nicolas said as he grabbed my hand, he then started walking somewhere and I followed with no resistance, it was no use trying to run away from him since I knew he can find me

"Hey is Nicolas your actual name?"

I asked out of curiosity

"That was the name given to me by the old world"

so that's his work name, I don't really care about his real name I just want a name to address him, I don't want to call him squid-man or something

After minutes of unending walking, we finally reached a building that looked like a church, but there was no cross or any religion-based symbols around, once we entered I saw that the whole place was empty, but before I realized it a well-dressed woman came, she was wearing a long and plain black dress and she herself had black hair and beautiful grey eyes

"Welcome back Nicolas, judging by your company I assume that his kid had potential right?"

She asked Nicolas, her voice was very angelic I could say

"I would say yes! He made it out of the Yellow wallpapers by himself and also tricked a monster, a tier 9 too, he also was the first that attacked the monster from behind and managed to live long enough to escape through the dimension hole"

Nicolas told her, she then turned her shiny silver eyes on me

"You really seem quite outstanding for a simple human, if you accept to join us then I guarantee that we will watch over you..."

My mind then started hearing, and the reason I stopped hearing was because of some kind of strings that I saw coming at me, in panic, I pushed the strings away from me and also took a step back

"What the hell was that?"

I asked, the woman seemed very impressed

"Did you actually see the strings, you really may be special"

It was the first time in my life someone told me that so I felt a very strange yet enjoyable way, but I had to refuse

"I'm sorry but I also have my family and friends"

I said as I turned at the door, but before I could grab the handle of the door my body suddenly stopped, I couldn't move a muscle, and my body then unwillingly started walking towards the woman

"I want to remind you that the parents you so much want to return to are the same ones that signed a paper confirming that they are willingly sending their child to die on one of our experiments for a bunch of money"

"T-They would never do such...."

Before I finished talking the woman showed me a paper that had my mother's and father's signature, the paper said <Old world program> and it clearly said sacrifice your child for our continents' greater good, and the money they offered were 1.000.000 pounds

"Do you understand now kid? You don't have anywhere to go so let us take care of you and everything will turn out alright"

The woman said as she extended her arm at me...
