Episode 7 : How Time Flies

The maid brought the cup of coffee to the dining table where Zesa sat. His angry eyes glared at the beautiful lady and he asked tightly.

" Where is that unfortunate woman? "

" Young master, madam is still on her bed "

" At this hour? Call her out immediately! "

The maid rushes immediately to call unto County. In no time the ex-wife of Javad de Venta came running into the dining room.

Life has passed her by. Ever since she tied the knot with Zesa Crow her life has never been the same.

" you have a way of upsetting me when it's least expected county. How could you be sleeping at this hour? "

" Zesa... I... " The aggressive man took no time before cutting her off with a smack across the face.

The very thing Javad had never done to her. County is used to the ill-treatment so instead of yelling she gets on her knees and apologizes for waking up late.

At that moment the delivery man arrived with the daily newspaper. He extended it to Zesa and left immediately.

The angry man turns his attention to the newspaper and the headline makes his knees go weak.

JAVAD DE VENTA IS BACK TO RECLAIM CROW'S ENTERPRISE.

" Who is this Javad de Venta? Why does his face look so much familiar? "

Upon hearing the name 'Javad ', emotions brew up Inside the heart of County and she feels so guilty.

Unconsciously she looks at the newspaper where the image of Javad is been displayed.

The lady nearly had a heart attack when he saw the image of Javad following the headline.

" It can't...it can't be him " She mutters crazily but Zesa was too busy to reply to her.

His cell phone rang out at that moment and he quickly pick it up.

" Sir you have to be here. The boss has arrived. The new boss, Javad de Venta and he is waiting "

That was Zesa's assistance, Miguel. Immediately adrenaline pumped life into his legs.

He left the dining room immediately and storm out. Trust County to follow.

When she hopped into the car with her husband the latter glared at her in question.

" I have to meet him. I have to see him "

The drive to Crow's Enterprise is just so long for county but in reality, it only took a few hours.

The CEO alighted from his car and ran into the company but had to stop abruptly in the doorway.

Why? Because Javad de Venta was waiting for him. He look up and his face was revealed.

It seems as though County had seen a ghost. Never had the staffs thought he is somebody.

Years ago when he had walked into that same company to claim his wife, they had seen him as nobody.

" You keep the boss waiting. For this, you should evacuate the building. You know this company belongs solely to the de Venta clan. The boss has spoken "

Cassius was the one who said to Zesa, making him scoff crazily.

" Is this a joke? " He asked. " County is this one of your foul play? Isn't this your ex-husband who is a murderer? "

County didn't reply. Eyes couldn't lie and emotions washes over her. Tears find their way to her eyelids and she let them flow.

When Zesa Crow saw this he realized his world would crumble before his eyes if he continues being disrespectful.

He loved his job and company so much.

He can't go back to be poor as he was in the past so he swallowed his pride and fell at Javad's feet.

He vividly recognized him as the useless husband who had caught his wife red-handed.

" I am wrong Javad... Oh, I mean boss. I apologized Boss. Please... Forgive me. I shall obey all your commands from now on. Please let me work for you. Let me be your follower "

Zesa Crow swallowed his pride and almost lick Javad's boots. All this while the dominant man didn't speak.

" I have nothing against you Zesa Crow and yes you will work for me from now on.

" I would find another staffs for this company. The name de Venta should be replaced with its title.

" You be the acting CEO and the de Venta clan works here. What do you say? "

It was like being given the whole world. Wholeheartedly Zesa agreed almost immediately.

After it was all said and sealed Javad de Venta stood up from where he sat and headed out.

But then County stops him with her call.

" Javad! "

She rushes to him, trying to clutch on him but the security men will never let her be.

" Let her go " Javad commanded and they obeys. County, this time, walks to Javad very slowly.

Her forefinger extended out to poke him. She wanted to be sure he is the real one.

" Javad? " She began shakily. " Javad you didn't tell me you are related to the de Venta clan.

" Javad you never inform me that you are the last descendants of the most prestigious clan.

" You didn't let me know you have a last name and wealth "

He stood still to watch her. His eyes are Icy cold and devoid of love and care.

" Would it have made a difference? " He inquired. " Would it have made you love me at all? "

" Javad "

He stops to hear her out. He wanted to listen to her next words.

" Javad... I regretted ever doing all those horrible things to you. I ... Regretted Javad and I wish I could take it all back.

" You see I was pushed. It was Zesa. You believe me, right? Javad I love you.

" After you left, I couldn't stop being sorrowful. That leads to my miscarriage.

" Days and nights I long for you. Here, see the marks on my body... Zesa did it. Javad take me back. Now that you are here, I should go with you "

Everyone let her rant. Even Zesa was taken aback by her sudden accusation.

Cassius look away to hide his smiles while the others scoffed at her feeble defense.

County turns out to be nothing but a woman with a cunning heart. A golddigger for short.

" Whenever I made a promise, do I fulfill it? " Javad asked instead and it took County some minutes before she nodded in the positive.

" Yes. When you proposed to me, you promised you will never leave my side unless I pushed you away "

" Did I fulfill it? " He asked softly and new tears trail down County's eyes.

" You did Javad. You love me so much but I pushed you away at the end and you leave just as you promised "

" So why didn't you take my hand when I promised to give you the whole world If you do? "

" Javad... Javad I never knew who you truly are. I always thought of you as useless after you become jobless and helpless "

" I made you a promise at our last meeting. Do you remember? "

His icy cold eyes glare at County and she shuddered when she remembers that solemn oath.

" Javad you will have to forgive me. I was just ignorant in the past. Javad... " She clutched at him, trying to bring him to soothe her but what she met was just a cold man who has no feelings.

" I promise I won't forgive you County Felton. I won't till forever "

Javad de Venta walk out from Crow's Enterprise and the staffs immediately began to pack their luggage.

Zesa Crow however had picked up his cellphone and was speaking to his lawyer for divorce papers.

County Felton on the other hand fell to the ground dejectedly.

Her blurry vision took the retreating back of Javad de Venta and her heart was shattered at that moment.

Impatient, gluttony, and Cruelty had pushed her to where she is now. How time flies. How fate trick her.
