When Ajax received the first sets of notifications he was overjoyed and was already picturing how helpful the new ability would be in a battle.

But after the first set of notifications disappeared, a whole new screen appeared.

And the smile and joy on Ajax's face vanished.

Ajax entered his dorm room and sat on his bed. The sun was starting to set meaning it will soon be dinner time.

Although Ajax felt a sharp pain of hunger in his stomach, it wasn't food he seem to be craving for. The feeling was different from when he was naturally hungry and needs to eat food.

Ajax then thought about the system and it pop up again.

He thought about clicking the warning notification and it displayed the same thing.

Ajax had a total of 50 soul points when he woke up from his long sleep, but when Draco attacked him he had to use the Time Freeze twice.

The first time he activated it he didn't quite know how it worked, the only thing he realized was Draco and everyone around him even the birds of the sky froze.

Before he could do anything the 2 seconds duration was already up and Draco's fist was now inches away from his face, he had no choice but to activate it again and acted fast.

But now due to his sluggishness and slow thinking, his Soul point is in a critical condition.

Ajax stared long and hard at the notification with a confused look.

'What the hell does it mean by this?' Ajax thought still confused about the whole thing.

The only thing Ajax wish for right now was a manual for this system. Because he has no idea what some of the things displaying on the system meant.

He only knew how to activate the Time Freeze due to him being a lover of rpg novels, and in any of those novels, the only way to use a skill was to call out the skill name and include 'Activate' in the end.

But never have he come across something that describes something about soul points or soul consumption.

'Aren't you supposed to give me details about this?' Ajax yelled in his mind but no response.

'Consume a soul?' Ajax thought with his finger rubbing his chin.

'Is it by any means talking about the human soul? I'm so dumb, of course, it's the human soul, animals don't have a soul'.

Ajax said internally as he racks his brain trying to figure out just what it meant and how he was supposed to get out of this mess.

'Only God knows what's going to happen when the point hits zero. I'm I just going to die? I thought he serves as my life'.

Ajax was still lost in thoughts as another notification chimed

While trying to figure it out Ajax didn't realise he's been there for an hour now and another 10 Soul Point has been reduced.

'Darn it, there's no time to think. Whatever it is, I just hope my instinct kick in'.

Kom! Kom!

A knock was heard on the door and a female's voice spoke

"Mr Ajax Hart, your presence is requested" The sweet voice of the lady spoke from outside.

'That's Miss Darla's voice. What does she want with me' Ajax almost cursed her out loud.

Out of every other time, the one teacher he was crushing on approached him, it had to be now.

Kom! Kom!

"Mr. Ajax!" Miss Darla knocked again and the door opened slowly revealing a skinny boy with brown spiky hair and a slim face. His white and black school uniform currently had blood stains on it.

"Took you long enough" Miss Darla spoke to the teenage boy who had his mouth opened and his face displaying that he was currently daydreaming over her beauty.

Miss Darla is no doubt the prettiest teacher in the academy, with her slender body and nice curves.

Snap! Snap!

"Hello?" Miss Darla snapped her fingers bringing Ajax back to reality

"Ah, yes, who are you? I mean, what are you?" Ajax kept speaking words of nonsense.

"Principal two requests you to join him in his office right now" Miss Darla shook her head and said.

'Huh? What does Sir Damien want with me? He hardly talks to me or anyone, unless he wants to punish them. Did I do something wrong?' That was Ajax thought as he tried figuring out just what he did.

"Err..ok" Ajax replied as he walks past her and headed to Sir Damien's office.

Miss Darla took a quick peek inside Ajax's room before shutting the door and following him.

The entrance door of Sir Damien opens as Miss Darla stepped in first.

In front of her was a plump-looking man. Pot-bellied fat cheeks and neck with a mustache.

"He's outside Sir Damien" Miss Darla announced with a slight bow.

"Ursher him in and wait outside Darla," Sir Damien said and Miss Darla went to carry out the order.

Ajax walked in slowly, it was the first time being inside the office so he couldn't help but look around.

"Don't be afraid Ajax, have a seat, I only want to ask a few questions. Is that okay?" Sir Damien said pointing to an empty seat in front of Ajax.

Ajax nod his head as he sat down. He still had strange feeling about all this.

He couldn't wrap his head around what Sir Damien wanted to ask.

If he did something bad, now is not the right time to punish him because he still has the issue of Soul Point counting down and he doesn't wish to find out what's going to happen once it hits zero.

"I see you're worried," Sir Damien said noticing Ajax's expression and he was even sweating at the moment.

"You don't have to worry Mr. Hart, like I said, just a few questions" Sir Damien added.

"Just tell me, were you the one that passed Level One of the doll?" Sir Damien asked, and once Ajax heard those words he felt like his heart is about to jump out of his mouth.

He has forgotten about the cons of getting the system. Many high-graded Mutant ability users have tried so hard for many years to defeat that doll but ended up failing.

They concluded it was all a trick by the old Mutant and he didn't place his powers in the doll.

But now that it seems to have disappeared meaning someone completed the Level and got the powers of the old Mutant.

Ajax's class attendant showed he missed classes for three days, and after the third day, that's when they realized the doll is missing. And now they've come for him.

If they by any means know Ajax truly received the power of the old Mutant, they'll do anything to get their hands on it. Even if it meant killing him.

"What do you mean Sir Damien? I don't even have a Skill Slot or coin, how then will I be able to pass the level?" Ajax asked as he tried his best to hide his fear from showing on his face.

Sir Damien glanced at Ajax from head to bottom and truly he doesn't have a skill slot.

He quickly decided that this was only a waste of time, because there was no way on earth this weak-looking kid without a skill could defeat something he couldn't defeat.

"Thanks for complying Ajax, you're free to leave," Sir Damien said and Ajax stood up and turned his back to exit the office.

Ajax opened the door and stepped out, and by the door side was Miss Darla.

She seems to have been listening in on the conversation between Ajax and Sir Damien.

Ajax gave her a quick smile before heading to the cafeteria for dinner.

The Cafeteria was three buildings away from where Ajax currently was because the teacher's and the Sir's offices and rooms are located in a different section.

The sirs serve as a headmaster in the school, they have supreme authority more than the teachers.

Each Mutant Academy has 3 sirs, sir 1, sir 2, and Sir 3. Sir Damien was the sir three and the lowest among them but is superior to the teachers.

Ajax was heading to the cafeteria with his head full of thoughts on what Sir Damien asked and how he was going to fix this Soul Point problem.

Step! Step! Step!

The day was already dark and not many students were passing by, they are all having dinner.

Ajax began to hear footsteps from behind, he paused his steps and turned around.

Stab!

An earth-like spear ran inside Ajax's stomach and came out from his back.

"Arrggh!" Ajax grunt in pain as he fell on his knees, blood gushing out from the wound like a waterfall.

Ajax was still on his knees with his two hands on the earth's spear. He gritted his teeth before pulling it out with speed.

"Aah!" Ajax screamed as he pulled out the spear and more blood poured out.

Ajax began to feel the hole in his stomach healing slowly and his hp stopped dropping.

"You should have just stayed down!" A guy's voice said as he came out of the shadows and Ajax recognized him immediately.

It was one of Draco's friends named Tommy Walker, his skill coin was a grade 3 earth ability.

Tommy charged towards Ajax with another earth spear in his hand.

'This bastard just stabbed me and now he's trying to finish me off? Sometimes I wonder if some people are humans or just pure monsters.

If I have to kill this guy right here to get soul point, then so be it Ajax thought

He was now on his feet with the earth's spear in his right hand. When Tommy was in striking distance, he stabbed his spear toward Ajax but froze mid-way.
