No way out

Darick and Charlotte made their way to the portal room after receiving the signal from Ajax. It was part of what they agreed on,to move when the signal was sent out.

Jogging through the dimly lit hallway,Darick's nose could perceive human scents meters away. If he wasn't mistaken,the scent he perceived was more than that of two nor four people.

'Why can i still perceive the scent of more people in the portal room?' Darick pondered with a look of confusion as he reduced the speed at which he jogged to avoid raising any alarms.

There wasn't suppose to be more than two people there according to his calculations. Why then could he smell more people?

'Maybe my enhanced nose is just malfunctioning. If Ajax did sent out the fake message,then the guards numbers could have dropped by two,meaning just two would be left.'

Darick pondered.

'Did Ajax not send out the text?'
