8. Imprisonment

So far Sarah's speech and explanation were extremely logical. It was precisely for that reason no one had interrupted her untill now and even the teachers only watched from the sidelines without saying anything about it.

She was the only one among the self proclaimed leaders who was truly worthy of being a leader.

What no one expected, however, was that a voice would abruptly interrupt.

" Wait a moment. I want to move alone"

Everyone's eyes automatically turned to the person who had just spoken with different expressions.

Henry and his other gang of four people had an expression that looked unsure whether to cry or laugh, Luke looked too stupefied to react, and the teachers had different kinds of thoughts that their expression gave away.

In the other hand, Sarah gave Chris a slightly weary look and said coldly, "You want to go alone? Are you crazy?"

Chris remain unperturbed and did not care about the expression of the expression of the beautiful girl in front of him. Calmly, he slowly said, "Whether I am crazy or not you need not worry about my mental health, Sarah."

Saying that word out cost him all if his will power.

John William, one of the teachers who also knew Chris and his parents, couldn't help to him: " Christopher, why don't you consider it a little more? With the strength of all of you combine you should be able to fight against any kind of beast and the chance of survival would certainly be higher."

Chris shook his head and said nothing more, obviously he had already made up his mind. It was a pity that none of these people knew him, otherwise they would know that once Chris decides something, he sticks with his decision.

But no one also knew that these conversations will cause another commotion among them. Josh walk close to Henry and whispered some words on his hear softly, "What did I tell you about him, he will never recognize us as leaders, and maybe if we let him move alone he might just run away and never come back."

These words lit up Henry mind, who was going on smoothly with all the plans.

"Hmm"

"Hmm"

" You selfish bastard, did you think I will just let you do as you pls here? I am the head leader here I make decisions for everybody, you are no exceptions on that."

Everybody unconsciously turn, looking at Henry as he was talking with authority.

Henry took a very deep breath and took some few step closer to Chris while looking at Chris eyes, "What did you think you can do alone? You gat no power only growth and muscles, you are no better than those Survivors out there, that has no ability, the only thing you have is over confidence, arrogance, and too proud of what you can do."

Chris look at him back with no excitation and also said, " At least I have something to speak of about my self. I have made up my mind, and that's what I'll do." Chris nodded calmly and turn I guess this task will be left for another time." He quickly took a pocket watch out of his pocket and look at it and said, "Besides the time is already 5:34 pm. Tomorrow you can tell me what my task is. Good night everyone."

Henry was so furious after Chris interrupted his speech for some seconds, "Shut up and don't move from that spot. Who gave you the idea that you can just do as you pls here, did you consider you self as a free person here? No you are not! You are my prisoner since the first time you stepped your foot here. Hey! Seize him at once." Henry commanded two of his self proclaimed leaders gang to sieze Chris.

Chris just took a deep breath and said, "Don't even think about that." He turn his neck back to take a glance at Henry and said, "Hello mighty leader of the cave, where is your prison around here? It's really a good idea, coming from you."

Henry smile a very disgusting smile. He knew that Chris gat guts, but he thought at a moment like this he would be pleading for his freedom but instead Chris just embraced it, "That would be the inner cave you love so much, you can continue your life in there, Chris. Hey Scott follow them and seal the entrance of the cave." Henry told another of his gang to follow them.

Scott Holland has the barrier ability that was used to seal the entrance of the cave Chris and the other passed through earlier into the cave. Henry sent him and two other self proclaimed leaders to go and imprisoned Chris.

" Wow I like that place, it would be very nice there. Thank you very much." Chris keep saying things to annoy Henry. He faced is front again and said, " don't you dare lay any of your filthy finger on me I will walk there my self. See you there."

Without another backward glance, Chris left and disappeared to the end of the inner-room cave.

"He seems to be a pretty cool guy, doesn't he?" Luke scratch his head and said with a force smile. However, although he look casual on the outside, inside he was incredibly surprised.

Chris was the first guy Luke had met who was able to remain cold and indifferent to someone as beautiful as Sarah and to someone as scary as Henry.

"Forget it. Let's continue then." Sarah looked at Chris's slowly disappearing back, and said coldly before withdrawing her gaze, "Well then, let us continue."

She simply had good intentions and didn't want anyone to die in vain. However, Chris caused his own downfall all by himself, she could do nothing about it and could only let him do as he pleased.

"Why are you being so distance with those people?" Arachne questioned when Chris entered the inner cave. The group conversation had been clearly heard by her.

Chris sat down on the ground leaning his back on the wall of the cave. As he listened to her, he smiled slightly and remarked, "Ain't you the one who told me to be more careful of the people around. That's what am doing, I am being careful."

An idea flashed in her mind and Arachne couldn't help but point out, "Especially towards that girl named Sarah. You attitude toward her was cold and distance... Suspicious. You know she means no harm to you."

Chris sighed lightly and close his eyes as a bunch of memories flashed in his memory a speed of light. Although those memories no longer hurt, the pain of his experience can never disappear.

Slowly he opened his eyes again. At that moment a window appeared on his front.

Chris was surprised when he read the message that had appeared out of nowhere. How had he suddenly acquired a skill?

Seeing him dumbfounded, Arachne sighed slightly and asked in confusion, "is something wrong?"

Chris immediately snapped out of his daze and quickly shook his head as he said, "forget it Arachne. Why don't you tell more about the system and how to get stronger."

Immediately Scott and the two other guys arrived they walked into the cave to observe if there was any escape root, they saw Chris sitting on the floor. All they just did was continue with their search. however, they found non, they bagan to walk back to the entrance. They did not dare to walk close to Chris, they were so afraid of him, after what he did to them at school back then, that impacted a fear in them.

After walking to the entrance Scott use his ability to seal the entrance. After a while he finished sealing it and soon after they left.

" Back to where we are." Immediately he adjust his self and focused entirely on her voice.

" The FRAME OF VOID is an unknown entity that no one has ever come to fully understand, not even me, it just gives me orders and I follow. This entity reaches out to different planet." Suddenly her voice vanished and didn't talk for some minutes. Chris on the other hand keep calling out her name the entire time, but there was no response.

After a few moment later the articulated voice came back. Chris quickly realized and said, "What happened?! you stop talking when things was about to get interesting. Please continue!"

The system was the one that stop Arachne from talking. The system did not want Chris to know the extent of his true power they want him to figure it out himself. Arachne took a deep breath and said, " The system did not want me to tell you now because it's not the right time, but be rest assure when that time comes I will tell you all you want to know. For now start making your self strong until you can distroy that barrier."
