The experiment

Ethan and Ariana descend the stairs to find the family already waiting for them, all wearing furious expressions.

"Honey, we have to send him away," Mrs. Desmond insists.

Mr. Desmond knows it's not an easy option, given that Mr. Rex has placed Ethan under his watchful eye. "Let's leave him be, but he needs to know his boundaries," he says, fixing a stern gaze on Ethan.

Ethan bows slightly and murmurs, "Yes, sir."

Just then, the stairs creak, and they all turn to see Ariana struggling to come downstairs with a suitcase in tow.

"Where do you think you're going?" Mr. Desmond snaps at her.

Ariana ignores their angry faces and keeps walking. Max grabs her hand and pleads, "Why are you doing all of this? You don't need to."

"Yeah, all of you are the reason I'm doing this. You keep mistreating him, and he's innocent. I can't understand why you enjoy doing that. I'm sick of it, and I can't bear to witness it anymore," she replies, twisting her hand to free herself.
