Chapter 65. More humiliations

A door swung open seemingly without anyone pushing it in one of the cellars of the mansion.

It was the door of a gigantic refrigerator resembling a cellar where all the food consumed by the Stanton family members was refrigerated.

The door had been opened from the inside thanks to Baxter's great skill in picking locks.

Quickly, all the mansion employees [now Aldress] emerged from that refrigerator. Beth had locked them in there as a way to punish herself, to feel better, and to vent all the anger that losing the case for Joseph's inheritance had caused her, now depending on what that will said.

Baxter, Alfred, Amber, and the rest of the employees shivered from the cold while smoke in the form of mist billowed out of the open fridge, making them tremble even more.

"I'm leaving," said one of the employees as he tore up Beth's report without taking it off his body.

"Me too," said another employee.

"Don't leave me," exclaimed another.
