Chapter 67. Joseph's last will

"Enough with the drama," said Beth, interrupting the moment between Amber and Curtis. "Let's not waste any more time and let the reading of the will begin once and for all."

Curtis turned angrily to avoid looking at Amber. He couldn't understand how she could endure such treatment for mere money. He took a couple of steps and leaned his back against the wall, waiting for Lucius Garner to do his job.

"That idiot doesn't have Joseph's mindset," said Curtis, very upset, addressing Lucius. "Joseph would never have done something like this," he asserted.

"He does. We ourselves did a DNA test before Joseph died," Lucius explained.

"He doesn't have Joseph's same heart," Curtis insisted.

"His other three children don't have Joseph's heart either, and that's considering they were raised under his care... What can you expect from a poor bastard?" Lucius said, kneeling to assist Ander.

"I just hope Joseph didn't commit the madness of leaving his entire fortune to an idiot like that," Curtis cros
