Alvin chuckled coldly, and smiled.

“You're the sky, and I'm the dust? How about you show me how broad and high your sky really is?”

“You better start begging for mercy right now. Or else…” Lisa began to say, her voice steeped in arrogance.

“Or else what? Are you going to ask your mighty boyfriend to break my legs?” Alvin said in a mocking tone, and turned to Troy who rolled his eyes and sighed.

“How about this? Young master, we can pay for your sister to get treated first. Please…”

“Do I look that poor that I can't afford my sister's medical bills?” Alvin asked, still smiling.

“No, no, no. Young master. Can you please let this go? You should go to the hospital first.” The director said again, forcing a smile that looked uglier than crying on his face.

“Did I say they could leave?” Lisa shouted, making their attention to return to her once more. Troy took in a breath through clenched teeth, furious, while the director gritted his teeth.

They were trying to lure Alvin away and sav

Even Alvin himself was stunned when he heard Lisa's accusation. Lisa laughed on seeing his expression, thinking he was terrified. “I told you all, didn't I? This idiot was a beggar in college. Who would have expected that he would go down the dark path after graduation? Arrest him immediately. What are you waiting for?”“Slander is a huge crime. Are you sure you want to do this? I could send you to jail for smearing my reputation with mud.” Alvin said in a cold voice. None of his previous playfulness could be seen. All the customers that were eating in the restaurant when the scuffle started were still there. Most of them were taking videos, while the others were watching with interest. If he's unable to clear this misunderstanding, he might as well say goodbye to his career as an idol, because one day, such an issue might crop up again if one of those watching accuses him of the same crime. “You, send me to jail? You look quite angry. I'm right, aren't I? You stole the card. The

“System. What's happening?” He whispered, but there was no reply from the system. Lisa laughed loudly and looked at Alvin in contempt. “I knew it. You criminal. What do you have to say?” The director looked baffled, not expecting this result. “Why are you so sure the reason for the verification failure is because it was stolen. What if he doesn't have the authority to examine such a confidential card? Or do you think the supreme black card is something that can be handled lightly?” Alvin asked with a smile, still maintaining that same quiet grace. “Ha! No thief would agree they stole, even if you catch them with their hands in the meat pot. Even at this point you're still arguing. Just go down on your knees and do what you should. Then hand over the card. Maybe, I will let you leave alive.” Lisa said with her hands clasped behind her in a haughty pose. Alvin smiled and touched his nose again. “Wow. You have quite the big belly. You want to take my supreme black card usin

Why are you suddenly rushing to me now that you have lost the bet? Don't sully my reputation with your stupidity. Get lost and go keep your end of the bargain. He said coldly and pushed her towards Alvin. She staggered and Alvin gave her a kick to the back of her knees, making her fall to the ground with a thump. She groaned in pain and gritted her teeth. “Why aren't you apologizing?” Alvin asked, smiling at her. However, the smile didn't seem to reach his eyes; he was merely showing his teeth. “You want me to apologize to you. Who do you think you are?” Lisa shouted, her cheeks burning with the humiliation of being forced to kneel. “I am nobody.” Alvin whispered and kicked her arm, making it give out a crunch, which was accompanied by her scream. Just then, Leah who had been sile

Do you even know what honor is, talk more of virtue? How did he slander you? Did he lie? Everything he said there was true, you were a slut in the university, having group sex, in a public space nonetheless. How many times did you attend fraternity parties with you as the boys’ menu? It's okay to have one or two boyfriends, but a slut like you has absolutely no place beside me. I have heard rumors from my friends about seeing someone like you bent over in a club, taking hot doggy while moaning shamelessly. But now, I realize it was not just someone like you. It was you. How many times have you cheated on me since we began dating?” “Babe, it's not like that.” Lisa pleaded crying as she stylishly caressed his thighs to arouse him. He made a face and slapped her hands away. “Disgusting. If it's

Hurry up and bring it to the car, I need to get her treated.” Alvin replied and quickly stood up with Leah in his arms. He quickly opened the glass door with his legs and carried Leah out. He didn't notice Lisa who was hiding behind a flower hedge watching them. He got closer to the Lamborghini and the car doors automatically opened on their own. He suddenly heard a beep in his mind, followed by “mission successful.” He had totally forgotten about the mission because his attention had been occupied with Leah who collapsed on him. “You have been rewarded with the ultimate cooking recipe, magic chef, that can prepare any dish in the world. He turned to see the director still waiting, making him frown. “Is there a problem?” As if he just remembered something, his eyes widened and he sighed, as if scolding himself. “Oh! The dining set that was damaged during the fight. How much is it?” “No, no, no. That's not it. It's the fault of our restaurant for not being vigilant enough, and letting such things happen right before our eyes. It's also our fault for having blind, incompetent guards who attacked you. You don't have to bother. The restaurant will replace the destroyed furniture this time.” The director quickly replied, waving his hands before him. Alvin felt the corner of his lips twitch. As he drove forward, he saw the outline of an apartment complex, built in a rectangular shape. It was five stories tall. They were built after the entrance, making him assume that it was the staff quarters meant for the housing staff and security guards. The building was surrounded by a stone courtyard and little dwarf palm trees placed at strategic points alongside stone benches. Opposite it was a garden and a narrow walkway, with buggies parked close to the fence. The woman who welcomed him entered one of the buggies, driving after him. “Hmmm? Is the property so big that she needs buggies to navigate around it?” Alvin muttered, noticing her through the side mirror. His attention returned to the scene before him. Immediately after the building were gardens on either side of him and he could see exotic birds in the right side of it. However, he had no interest in examining them. Driveways branched out in to three after the gardens. One continued straight ahead, one to the right,

Alvin didn't notice her. After his experience with Lisa, coming home to meet another audacious gold digger left a ton of bile in his stomach. The girl opened the elevator and got in, and Alvin immediately followed her, still frowning. The elevator was super fast, so in a few breaths, they arrived on the second floor. “Boss, the masters bedroom is that way.” She whispered and pointed to the northern part of the second floor. “Then I will go the other way. I will settle her into her own room, not mine. Everywhere has been cleaned up, I presume.” Alvin replied, making his way to towards the south of the second floor. “Yes, boss. Everywhere has been cleaned up by the cleaning team. And we also did the finishing touches. It's very clean, even for someone with OCD.” She said, regaining her sense of humor. Alvin entered the third room after his own, choosing the eastern side which he knew would get a lot of morning sunlight which he assumed young girls love. He walked to the bathroo

He offered her a handkerchief, but she didn't take it, hitting her chest as she cried profusely. He patted her shoulders slowly, letting her cry. After a while, he wiped her tears. “Don't cry, he's in a better place. He won't like to see you like this, utterly broken like one who lost all hope. You have been a strong girl, he would love to see that fire again. Now, more than ever, you need to become more powerful, and live the dream he couldn't achieve. Those things he wanted to do but couldn't before he was cruelly torn away, you should do it on his behalf, achieving his dreams should be your mission. So you can't lose hope, or despair, alright? Alvin’s analysis was spot on, and everyone unanimously accepted it as the most plausible one. “I totally agree. And his defiance made her respect him more. She didn't bother getting a casket for the rest, but his body was properly preserved, albeit without clothes.” One of the men whispered, the one who seemed to be Wuque's right hand, doing errands for him. Someone sighed heavily. “So being a good guy made him end up in such a pathetic state.” “Doing good is important, but it should be done with lots of tact and sense, to avoid falling into the fire while trying to rescue someone. He underestimated her because she looked helpless and young. That was the reason such a powerful person was easily overpowered, she used the element of surprise. We must continue to do good. But we should always make sure that our good deeds would not boomerang on us by being cautious before jumping in to save the day.” Murong Wuque whispered. “Should we take his body back to his family? • finding a missing genius

Some of the disciples gasped in amazement on seeing the interior. There was an entire section dedicated to gold, silver and precious stones. Different kinds of weapons were also displayed there alongside some unknown treasures and ancient book. “Hmmm, what's that smell?” Alvin whispered, distracting the disciples who were eagerly checking out the treasures. Murong Wuque was equally frowning, facing the same direction as Alvin. The disciples frowned and quickly ran after them. “You guys are disappointing me. Assuming you came alone, you would have gone straight for the treasures without searching for traps or people lying in wait. What if the treasures were not real but merely an illusion created by a slaughter formation to lure greedy souls in? You would have fallen into the trap all the same. I can't always follow you guys out to missions, you guys should learn how to better protect yourselves.” Murong Wuque snapped, scolding them harshly. He was what one would call a perfect

“Did you find anything?” Alvin muttered the moment Murong Wuque returned. They had finally managed to kill the enchantress after two hours of battle, a very close call. They would have ended up dead if not for Murong Wuque and Alvin who seemed to have a tacit understanding, working in tandem with each other, till Alvin found an opportunity to launch a deadly sneak attack on her. Just as she howled and turned to end him, Murong Wuque added numerous killing blows in quick successions, taking her by surprise. She had wanted to escape but they had locked down the surroundings, disabling teleportation. Although it was disadvantageous for some of them, the gain outweighed the loss of mobility. The rest of the disciples also began to add many attacks, emboldened by Alvin and Murong Wuque’s success. “There are no captives here. She probably already used them for what she intended. The only thing left is her treasury, and it would take some time to pick the lock. We might burn everything do

  • HIDDEN WEAPONS IN ACTION

Alvin wasn't sitting idly by. He grabbed a pillow that somehow found its way to where they were standing, probably during the enchantress’s play with her man-pets, and quickly slapped the monsters closest to him. The others nearly cursed at him, but their words got stuck in their throats. The casual smash with the pillow pulverized the demons it came in contact with. He swung it in an arc, clearing ten demons in a straight line. There was no time to think. The rest drew their weapons, emboldened by the fearless duo. If an unknown cultivator could endure their demonic energy and bloodlust, while delivering fatal strikes, they could do it too. But they soon realized that it was mission impossible. The demons were too powerful, making it hard to easily kill them. The strongest ones could only kill one or two at a time, and there were hundreds of demons and only fifteen of them. It made them wonder how Alvin was able to kill them with a mere pillow. The one carrying the injured culti

Alvin picked up an arrow from the ones on the ground, and examined it. After a while, he hurled it at a spot on the door. At once, the arrows ceased. “Ah? What just happened?” “Fellow cultivator, thank you. We truly make a great team.” Murong Wuque said, smiling at Alvin. “Ah? What does that mean? Was he the person who made the arrows stop?” The disciples refused to believe it even when the proof was right before them. After all, how could a waste be able to achieve such a feat? Surely their first brother was confused and didn't realize when he did it. “He truly stopped the arrows.” Another senior whispered, making everyone stunned. But they were in for more surprises. They entered the palace and went down the hallway till they came into a huge room. The room was designed in scarlett and a huge king sized bed was on the platform. There was a huge shelf at the end with countless human skulls, exhibited as if they were some sort of trophy. On the bed was a woman dressed in

After a battle which lasted five minutes, the last monster fell dead. However, one of the disciples was injured by a deep claw slash, making blood gush out, and it also seemed as if the claw was infected. Murong Wuque walked to him whereas another disciple was supporting him. He made a swift slash on the wound and extracted the toxin. Without a word, he brought out a bottle of pills and herbs from his pouch. He stuffed the pill into the young man's mouth, and sprinkled some herbs on the wound. He raised his cloak and tore off some pieces of clothes from his inner layer of gown and used it to bandage the wound, before adjusting the boy's clothes. Everyone was watching Murong Wuque in shock. He was someone obsessed with cleanliness and image, but he willingly ruined his precious clothes to turn it into a bandage to stop the bleeding. He handled the situation efficiently, as if he had been a doctor for ages. It seemed that when it comes to his fellow disciples’ safety, his principle

They arrived at a cave, which had a pitch-black interior. The air was chilly, the atmosphere creepy. Almost immediately someone turned on a kind of ancient torch which produced flames the moment it is opened and comes in contact with air. Murong Wuque accepted the flaming torch from one of the boys and quickly began to move inside. He suddenly stopped as a sense of foreboding arose in him. Alvin also felt it and looked around. But before they could find the source, the ground opened up and swallowed them. The batch behind barely had time to jump back, narrowly escaping the trap. However, all the disciples of the valley, alongside Alvin, were swallowed. The remaining ones were the weaker vagrant cultivators who came to offer assistance in exchange for the bounty. “This is bad, there's a trap here.” One of the men whispered in panic. “This is terrifying. Even young master Murong Wuque didn't notice it on time. How then can small fries like us combat the danger if the almighty young

I can manage just fine on my own.” Murong Wuque chuckled and looked up at him. “What's your name? I can't keep shouting ‘you! You!’ all the time.” Alvin frowned, wondering what name to offer them, a name that wouldn't connect him to any martial arts clan, considering what he was about to do. If his name seemed familiar, after realizing he stole something, they might wage war against the clan they think he came from. But he had no idea about the names of powerful clans in the area. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, he decided to go with the closest Chinese name that has the same pronunciation as his original name. “My name is An Kai.” “An Kai.” Murong Wuque repe
