CHAPTER 2
Chris forgot his existence and mission that moment as he felt pain slicing through his chest at the sight of his wife on the bed with a horrible drug dealer. He couldn't believe that this was the actual place she went to while Mia rolled over the sheets in shock to cover herself.
"Who the fuck are you?" Logan yelled in anger, wondering how such a stranger got into his room without passing through the securities or informing him. The audacity he had to barge Into his room while he was satisfying his pleasure with the daughter of The Famous Darius Blackwood who got him whipped at a mall.
"Mia?" Chris managed to say and he felt a lump in his throat. His eyes burned with unseen tears as he walked over to take a closer look at his wife when Logan lost it and kicked him hard in the abdomen still on the bed. He threw his robes on and pressed the alarm for his men to troop in as Chris was taken aback by such a hit and impact.
"Do you know him, Mia?" Logan asked and Mia bit her lips so hard.
What would she say right now, Logan would go berserk if she admitted to having a husband and still went out with him. He was dangerous and all but he was damn cute and sexy to be ignored.
"I…"
"Speak!" Logan yelled at her and she flinched under the covers and shook her head.
"No…no..not at all. I think I will be on my way already."
"What the actual fuck, how dare you?" He yelled in pain as she trembled, not able to look at Chris's face whose reaction was so disheartening.
"No, stay right here. He'll be the one to be thrown out." Logan insisted.
"What did you just say, Mia?" Chris was stupefied at her denial as he asked again, how could she say that despite being caught in the act?
" Answer me!" He yelled out in frustration as Logan lunged another punch on his nose but he was swift enough to dodge and slap him so hard, giving an uppercut to send him crashing on the ground.
Logan gasped in shock as the great weight of fury overtook him. Never in his life has someone taken him down in such a manner. He's been fighting for years, dealing with scumbags and vulnerable ones, and considered himself perfect and notorious, but looking at him right now, he knew that he had a huge enemy.
Chris was burnt in fury as he moved outside when five of his men came in and saw him sprawled on the floor in pain.
They moved to attack him at once but he defended himself instead and slipped out of the room.
He was too furious to fight or he might kill someone.
Mia, who watched the horrific scene before her, stood up and fled the room after throwing her clothes on.
She liked her husband, she wouldn't doubt that but he doesn't possess the icing quality of wealth. The company and everything around him was her father's and it irritated her to the core that she can't boast of her Husband's properties. She saw the irritating side of him and tossed him aside like garbage. His looks were the only thing she liked about him and she needed to be with someone who would satisfy every part of her needs.
"Scott?" The bartender asked Chris who looked haggard and he nodded. He had managed to skip his way out of that mansion, He collected a tiny glass and drank the contents in a gulp which burned his throat down his stomach.
His phone rang in his pocket and he picked it up and sighed when he saw his friend's name pop up in the dial log.
"Hey, Chris."
"Hi, Vincent." He slurred his words.
"What the fuck Man, don't tell me you're drunk when your name is being broadcasted all over the news!" Vincent blasted at him and his eyes snapped open at once.
"What?"
"Why the heck were you in Logan's house? Holy nonsense dude! Just why, do you keep forgetting who you are and the beast you're working for?"
Vincent complained in worry as Chris ruffled his hair in frustration. Vincent was the only friend who cared and accepted him for who he is at work.
He was the only confidant that helps and knows his true self despite being from a rich background, he's his Assistant at work and a bosom friend.
" what happened, you're scaring me!"
"Darius group of companies is being filed for a whooping sum of 100 million dollars for assault and violation of rights by Logan enterprise. Your face is everywhere!"
He gasps in shock and turns to the bartender. "Please turn on the news"
He requested and he did so as his face and name were the first on the screen, giving Logan an uppercut and beating his men to a pulp.
He was the face of Darius' group of companies but was a walking shell in the home. How the hell will he provide the sum of 100 million dollars to save the company?
"Hello Chris, are you there?"
"I'm fucking doomed Vincent!" He slammed frustratingly.
"Why were you there in the first place!" Vincent yelled.
"I was sent to get a company's file and I caught my wife cheating on me with him, I lost it" Chris vented out his pains and knew that Darius was right there in the living room, waiting to pronounce the worst punishment and judgment on him.
"You know what, just go home and tell me the outcome of everything "
He said and Chris was already out, taking a cab to reach the house as his heart thumped hard against his chest.
He didn't bring the file but created Chaos in the company. The moment he opened the door, his heart stopped beating as he saw the most horrible scene before him and tears laced his eyes.
