POISON

He picked up a glass of water and tended to wash the pill down, but the sound of the door being kicked open stopped him in his tracks.Brian burst in and ran toward the bodyguard. He grabbed him by the neck and threw him across the room as if he was nothing more than a rag doll.

He landed against the wall and fell to the floor. Nick shuddered.Ignoring the pain in his body, the bodyguards stood up, but rather than rush Brian in retaliation they were taken aback, the man turned to Nick.

“Mr. Tomlins”, he said, his voice shaking. “I'm no match for this man. Nobody in the room is any match for him.He looked at Brian as if he were the devil, not immortal.

“What did you say?” Asked Nick incredulously, kicking the bodyguard back to the floor. “There's one of him and several of you. How many more people do you need?”Although he thought of Brian as a useless man, he knew that his fighting skills were amazing.
