Up to 7 men cladded in black suits walked in carrying huge materials which were made of diamonds and gold.

Old Mr Scott and the others were shocked to see the shiny jewelries and other materials in front of them.

“Is that not The Mona Lisa painting that is equivalent to 1 billion dollars!”

“Ten million dollars in cash!”

“Five boxes of jewelries”

“Look!, That is the Ming Dynasty Vase Equivalent To 22.6 Million Dollars!!”

People were moved to Tears as they stared at the exquisite materials that even the president couldn't buy randomly. It turned out that someone bought it with a snap of his fingers just for Old Mr Scott.

Old Mr Scott was so excited as he turned towards Hailey,

“Hailey dear, Drew informed me a few days ago that you are dating Mr Damien, The Richest bachelor in San Francisco”

Though Mr Scott didn't complete his statement, one could tell what he was thinking with just a glance.

It was indeed True that Hailey was dating Damien, The Richest bachelor in San Francisco but Hailey very well knew Damien's net worth which was just a mere millions of dollars. She knew that Damien couldn't afford the Mona Lisa painting alone, talk more of the other exquisite materials lined up in front of them.

But....

It wouldn't be bad admitting that it was her boyfriend who did it and stealing the limelight. That alone could make Old Mr Scott treat her with more respect.

“Yes, he just sent me a message right now, listing the items that he had bought for Grandpa. He prays that Grandpa could live longer and longer ” Hailey said with an Angelic smile on her face.

“That’s great, That's great, As expected of Mr Damien” Old Mr Scott praised with a wide grin on his face “Everyone, I'm very glad to announce that Mr Damien would soon be the soon-to-be son in law of the Scott family”

There was another round of laughter as people sneered at Dominick who smiled in return.

“Your boyfriend, Damien, Bought these items?” Dominick suddenly asked Hailey who was chugging down a glass of red wine.

Hailey ignored him as she poured herself another glass of red wine.

“Answer me!” Dominick was so angry to a point that he grabbed Hailey's wrist “Why would you say it's your boyfriend that bought those items when I'm clearly the one who bought them”

“Ofcourse, Who else could buy such those extravagant items if not Damien.” Hailey replied with a mocking smile “But a useless son-in-law like you can never buy such items, am sure this is the very first time you've seen real gold and diamonds, that's why you dared to take credit for what you can never do”

Seeing that she wouldn't reply, Dominick pulled out his phone and sent a message to Ray “Tell Damien Helion to come to the Scott's family house in Ten minutes”

Because Hailey was so close to him, she clearly saw the message sent by Dominick and then an irritating laughter bursted out from her parted lips.

She laughed so hard that it drew the attention of other guests who were having a joyous feast.

“Hailey, What's going on” Drew asked arching an eyebrow.

“This piece of trash dared to open his mouth, telling me that he was actually the one who bought those extravagant items for Grandpa” Hailey mocked Dominick before walking towards Old Mr Scott.

“Grandpa, Edward told me that I was a liar right at my face” Hailey spoke with vulnerability.

“Okay, I would forgive you for calling my sister a liar but you dared to say that you actually bought those items, hah!, Who would believe you, a useless son-in-law who only earns less than $50 per month ” Drew chuckled like he was just told the funniest joke in the universe “If you can really prove that you bought these items for Grandpa, I would kowtow to you until my head bleeds”

“And in return, if you weren't able to prove that it was really you who bought these items, you would apologize while calling me sir then you would kowtow to me until your head bleeds as well” Drew spoke with pure venom.

Dominick looked at Drew and spoke with a faint smile “That's a deal”

“Great!, Edward can't go back on his words now!” Drew chuckled.

Suddenly the door bursted open and Damien walked in panting, his grey colored suite was soaked with sweats and he looked so damn terrified that his face turned pale.

“Ohh, Mr Damien, you're here” Drew yelled with a wide grin on his face.

Hailey and Drew were overly confident because they had already informed Damien about the situation.

The next thing that needed to be done was for Damien to tell a small white lie and then the trash Edward would be so embarrassed to a point of digging a hole to bury himself.

Just as Damien arrived, Drew said “Damien, please help me tell this trash that you were the one who bought those items, not only that he doesn't know his place but he dared to accuse Hailey of lying”

Drew looked triumphant. He already had a prior agreement with Mr. Damien, so everything was under his control.

Though he knew too well that Mr Damien was incapable of buying those items but he refused to come in agreement with the fact that the piece of trash was actually the one who ordered them.

The Scotts knew the financial capability of their son-in-law better than anyone else.

Because he couldn't even afford a mere watch of A thousand dollar, talk more of those golds and diamonds placed carefully on the floor.

While the Scotts were contemplating all these, they didn't notice the horror and fear that flashed in the eyes of Me Damien who stood there quivering.

Mr. Damien averted his gaze towards Dominick and the latter returned a piercing cold glare that had Mr. Damien paralyzed at the spot.

Even though Mr. Damien has heard many rumours about Edward who was the trash son-in-law of the Scott family, he had never met him face to face.

And now seeing him up close, Damien refused to believe that this was the trashy son-in-law who was very known around San Francisco.

Because if he really was, why would Mr Ray, The most powerful and famous business tycoon call him “Eldest Young Master” with so much respect.

Damien wasn't foolish and looking at the situation in front of him, he knew very well what to do.

Damien stole a look at Dominick and said “Indeed, there was someone who bought those items”

Though his words were not what drew expected but he kept quiet, knowing fully well that Damien would never turn his back on them.

“Who is it? Mr. Damien, please do tell!”

“Yes, Mr. Damien! Please don't keep us in suspense!”

The onlookers who were watching were eager to know the answer and pressured Mr. Damien to reveal the truth.

“It was Edward, The son-in-law of the Scotts family”

Everyone gasped at the revelation and looked at Mr Damien in utter shock.

The color drained from Drew and Hailey's face as drew shouted, “Mr. Damien, do you know what you're saying?”

Mr. Damien continued calmly “Mr. Drew, since you didn't hear me properly, let me repeat myself. It was Edward, the son-in-law of the Scott family who really ordered for these items and just like you said when I came in. It wasn't just a baseless accusations thrown at Hailey, it was really the truth, she is nothing but a damn liar! ”

Drew was puzzled and confused.

It was all very unexpected for Drew.

And Dominick already knew the outcome. Ray was clearly the one who sent Damien here and there was no way, Ray would let Dominick get humiliated like this.

Drew was mad and embarrassed. In fact, he was trembling with anger and with his face red, drew bursted into a nervous laughter as he tried to relieve the obvious tension in the room “Hahaha!, Edward, I was just joking with you, don't take everything serious alright!”

“Did you forget what you said earlier?, Drew, you have to kowtow to me until your head bleeds” Dominick reminded.

“What the hell did you just say?!”

Drew panicked when he heard Dominick's words. He grabbed the latter's collar and said “Did you just tell me to kowtow to you till my head bleeds, do you need a beating!?”

“Enough!”

Old Mr. Scott banged his walking stick on the floor loudly.

The Scotts quickly quieted down.

“Edward, Drew already said that he was only joking, don't make things too difficult!”

Then, Old Mr Scott side-glanced at Dominick with disapproval and reprimanded “You live with us and depend on our family's resources to support yourself. How can you humiliated Drew like this? What are you trying to do here, Edward, If you want to stay here without getting kicked out, apologize to drew or else get out!”

Dominick smiled, dusting off the non existence dust off his dark coat before staring back at drew who had a grin on his face after hearing what Old Mr Scott said.

“Drew, As a man, you shouldn't go back on your words, you know?. I wouldn't say this again, kowtow to me, now I'm in a very good mood ”

“Look Edward, don't see yourself as a god because you bought these items, speaking of which, Edward couldn't even afford a thousand dollar watch then how could he afford these items. could he have stolen them or probably, robbed people of their own money!!”
