"What a shame” Amelia echoed, disappointed that Richard could courageously say such things to her face without being ashamed of it.

While this conversation was going on, Richard got a call on his phone and realized that it was Mr James who was trying to reach him. He couldn't pick this call in front of Amelia so he had to excuse himself.

“Just give me a few seconds. I want to make use of the restroom,” Richard immediately excused himself.
