Richard stepped inside the mansion, the place he had purchased with so many hopes tied to it, yet it felt almost surreal to be here now. This was only the second time he had entered, the first being when he made the purchase, but back then, the idea of living here had felt distant, almost out of reach. Now, here I am.

The mansion, in all its grandness, was an overwhelming sight. Every inch of the interior radiated luxury, from the gleaming marble floors to the chandeliers hanging high above. It was a world away from the humble life he had known. The opulence was breathtaking, but his mind was too clouded with everything that had happened to fully appreciate it.

All Richard wanted now was rest. The emotional turmoil of the past few days had drained him more than he cared to admit. He headed straight for the bedroom, hoping that the comfort of the massive bed would offer him some solace.

The king-sized bed was a cloud, soft and welcoming. As soon as he lay down, Richard felt an almost in

If I hadn’t attended the class today, it would have been a problem for me, but now I feel like I completely understand what was explained.”Charles smiled, nodding in approval. “It’s always good to attend class and learn, huh? “Hello, Mr. James. What’s so urgent that you couldn’t wait until I was out of school to tell me about it?” Richard asked, his voice tinged with curiosity, though there was an undercurrent of concern in his tone. He had learned by now that Mr. James rarely called unless something significant was at stake.“I called to remind you about the charity gala tomorrow,” Mr. James said, his voice steady and serious. “The Crane company is hosting it, and if you’ve got a plan in mind or need my help with anything, don’t hesitate to ask. I’m more than happy to assist.”Richard’s pulse quickened. This was it—the opportunity to confront Maxwell Crane, and Mr. James was offering his support once again. “Thank you so much, Mr. James, for everything. Christabel and Emily sat there, waiting for Richard to reveal the roles they would be playing in the mission. The excitement in the air was palpable, but so was the anticipation. Each of them had agreed to support Richard, but now that the plan was taking shape, they wanted to know exactly what part they’d be playing.“Christabel, you’ll be working as a waitress,” Richard began, his voice steady and confident. “You’ll assist Charles in gathering information for me, keeping an eye on any potential danger, and ensuring everything stays on track.”Christabel nodded immediately, the role aligning with her strengths. She was used to thinking on her feet and managing multiple tasks at once. She could do this without hesitation. But Emily’s face darkened as Richard moved on to the next part of the plan. She had been listening carefully, but when her name wasn’t mentioned right away, confusion turned to frustration. She opened her mouth, her voice tinged with hurt.“Richard, how could you comp

Richard and his friends stood up from their seats, ready to head out, but as they began to make their way toward the door, they were confronted by Dominic and his group. The air between them instantly thickened with tension.“Richard, I see what you’ve become recently,” Dominic sneered, crossing his arms over his chest. “You must be really proud, knowing some of the top individuals in the country. But let’s get this straight—I still don’t believe you’re someone worthy of respect. You’re still the same Richard I’ve always known.”Richard didn't even bother to respond, nor did his friends. They simply turned on their heels, walking past Dominic without a word. The silence was deafening, and it left Dominic standing there, his words hanging in the air like an empty threat.“Richard’s been acting up lately,” Thomas muttered under his breath, turning toward Dominic. “He might actually have s
