“You couldn’t even trace the signal Tommy! Whoever sent this tip is someone we can’t deal with right now, lets first worry about what we know, this case Is going to change city 17 forever.” Said Demetri to the young tower observer, his facial expression crumbling in dissatisfaction, he took this case so he could meet Perla Brinlin, now he will have to be the lead investigator on a massive case.
‘What a rotten luck I have today!’ he sighed, he was too lazy to even do field work, and if he drop this case, he will never hear the end of it from his boss.
Every peace keeper in the vicinity of the park that Adam just flew out of, started playing one message in unison, as if they all had one voice.
(Attention! All citizens of city 17, this is emergency. For your safety, Return to your home in orderly manner. Any outside activity is banned for the next 48 hours. Hostile actions against property or personal will be retaliated.)
This message played in Adam and Mela’s ears until they entered the building.
“What is going on Adam! Is there an alien invasion?!” Mela was scared, she kept watching the peace keepers guiding the citizens to their homes and occasionally arresting some people and trapping them inside the peace keeper drone, the drone would then fly towards the tower.
“Aliens are not real Mela. I think they found some criminal organizations or something! Lets go watch the news.” Adam said with slightly visible smile, he didn’t think his actions would trigger a city scale emergency curfew.
This kind of emergency didn’t happen in the city for more then a 100 years, most people alive now didn’t even know of the existence of the emergency protocol.
After all citizens return to their home, the peace keepers will start an all out war against the criminal organization. isolating them to guarantee the safety of civilian is the highest priority of the emergency protocol, the peace keeper drones would scan every one in the city after it ends, and those who were in contact with the organization would be questioned.
‘Not even the tower knew about this organization!’ Adam thought to himself. ‘Or maybe they knew and turned a blind eye to their existence until we tipped the press.’
Adam didn’t know that he could send and receive signals from his constructs, until he received the notification from the exoskeleton suit on Mela when the stranger approached her.
He was surprised a second time when the symbiote revealed that it can scan electronic devices using the signal produced by the constructs.
‘Is there any thing else I can do that I don’t know?’ he asked inwardly, he wanted to know the limits of his abilities. so far, he only got to test the cluster fabric manipulation skill.
[Electromagnetic manipulation: gained by consuming amplifier stone. can manipulate and produce electromagnetic waves on any length and frequency. Further testing is required for the full application of the ability.]
‘what amplifier stone??!’ Adam wondered.
[The main component needed from the robotic system core. Amplifier stone is a natural radio active element that magnify electromagnetic waves, it’s used in long range electronics and machines. found mainly on planet Gliese 876d.]
‘So I only needed to eat that stone! and you made me eat the whole core?!’
[To mimic and produce the correct wavelength and frequency of human technology, consumption of electronic component is required for deep analysis.]
‘Deep analysis my a*s! That felt like sh*t.’ Adam snapped when he remembered the pain he felt when he ate the 60 cores.
Mela noticed his facial expression and thought there is something wrong with him, she didn’t want to be a burden, so she decided to go home.
Adam didn’t stop her, he escorted her to her door and withdrew the cluster fabric from her body, he had too much on his mind right now, including his father’s whereabouts. After taking his mind off things for a while and having enough fun, it was about time to start working again.
“Contact my father.” He ordered the core when he entered the core area.
The house system core started contacting Adam’s father, every time it tried it couldn’t get an answer.
Meanwhile, Adam opened a shopping window. ‘how many nutrient packs do I need for the next storage capacity upgrade?’ Adam didn’t want to continue the plan or to consume the gravity stone before enhancing him self further, he hoped it would hurt less if he got stronger.
The amount of gravity stones in the astrogravitational engine, is several times more than the amount of amplifier stone he absorbed, it was bound to be a world of pain.
[Bodily tissues and functions are still adjusting, any further upgrade can damage the process. 10 days Cool down is advised. For the next upgrade, estimated 100 nutrient package is required, or a more efficient nutrition source.]
‘so I have no choice but to endure the pain!’ Adam sighed.
His father trained him on how to fight and defend himself whenever he was home, learning how to escape various scenarios and how to assemble and disassemble weapons was a part of the training. The way he got familiar with the pain is because he constantly failed the training.
No pain was ever at the level of what he experienced since he found that stone in the forest. He endured the pain with his desire to get stronger, and thinking of the rewards he gained so far, the pain seemed insignificant.
He bought a robotic core for Mela, which cost him way more then any toy core would, and also bought her a top grade cluster fabric, the best cluster fabric authorized for civilian activities.
Adam intended to alter the programming of the core to allow Mela to use her own exoskeleton suit, which would make her life way easier, he hoped the symbiote could accomplish this task.
While on the shopping window he decided to check the prices of the exoskeleton suit blueprints, and he was astonished. The cheapest exoskeleton suit had a power of only 250 kilogram of force, and it cost 125 thousand coins.
He didn’t yet know how much force the exoskeleton suit he designed with the help of the skill had, but was definitely sure its way more then 250 kilogram.
The exoskeleton suit with the highest force in the shop had a one thousand kilogram of force, costing a 700 thousand coins, and it came with its own core and cluster fabric, it couldn’t be used on just any core.
‘is it possible to adjust the core’s programing to add a blueprint?’ Adam wanted to be sure it’s going to work, if it’s not possible he would try to find another way to help her.
Mela is his first friend, he would spare no effort in helping her. And money is not a problem for him, the time he got caught by the department taught him that having money is useless when he is too weak to even reach the money his father left for him, and he would have no access to it any way if he escape, so why not use it to the fullest.
[Using the connected cluster fabric to modify electronics should be possible, success rate estimated to 75%. Further testing is required.]
Hearing this, Adam had an idea, what if he could use the amount of cluster fabric in the apartment to defend himself as well.
He approached the house system core and rested his hand on the ball that had a diameter of 30 cm. ‘scan this core and see what kind of modification can be applied to it.’ Adam ordered, previously the symbiote only used the core to access the global network, and due to the overload that occurred, it didn’t have any chance to scan the core itself.

Adam looked into the man’s eyes, he hesitated for a second. “aren’t they tracking you! Then you can leave first, and I’ll meet you out side the city in an hour or less.” he said confidently as he headed towards the apartment door. The system core’s eyes twitched slightly. “How exactly? You couldn’t escape a simple ancient building for 3 months!” the old man’s face crumbled into a helpless annoyed expression.“You were watching me?!” Adam’s shocked face returned with a little anger covering his expression this time.“Of course I was! How would I protect you if I don’t know where you are?!” the man crossed his arms and stared at Adam. “and in case you were wondering! You were never in danger.” He shouted the last part startling Adam and forcing him to take a step back.“I was never in danger!” Adam snarled. “they thought I was an orphan! What do I do?!”“You are an adult Mrs. Perla, and so is she, I don’t believe its quite appropriate asking a child what to do.”A twitching smile formed on Mrs. Perla’s face while her eyes closed to slits. “Its… nice to see that you are still… you!”“who else would I be?!” he slid passed her into the apartment uninvited. “Can I speak with Mela?”“You… are already in!” she sighed while pinching her nose Bridge slightly.“Mela! “Who do you think that was?!” Johnny wondered about the identity of the war machine that caused all that trouble in city 17 in one day. Exposing a hidden criminal organization, and then a dangerous powerful signal that reaches the entire planet originating from the city, a UFO in the middle of the city, and lastly a ghost sonic boom, each one of these events were big enough to have multiple divisions in the tower investigating it. but all of them happening in the span of 2 hours, is a clear indication that they are all linked.“Maybe it’s a warning from the higher ups! They are telling us that we became too sluggish!” Demetri’s point of view wasn’t as grim as Johnny’s expression. he saw countless wars outside earth, way more than what Johnny witnessed. his knowledge of war machines and those who owns them allowed him to deduct that it must be a non hostile, because if it was, the casualties would be uncountable.

“I’m supposed to trust you now and tell you my story?!” Adam chuckled and looked at Keet laying down beside him.“No! It included a comfy sofa, two chairs occupied by Adam and Keet, and a coffee table in the middle. On the wall there were pictures of Adam and his father and mother, some of the pictures were moving and repeating a certain pose or action, it was like a moment frozen in time, so clear and detailed, and almost alive. It was fancy, and every thing smelled nice, Birdy never saw any thing like it before, he knew nothing other then the orphanage and its walls, and every thing he knew about the outside came from the books and comics he always reads.“So what’s your answer?”“You kidding me!! “she just disappeared a year after you were born, and in her place there was a message, telling your father to provide them with a certain type of technology if he ever wants to see her again.” Keet said desperately, his voice struggling in a way.“People don’t just disappear!” Adam chuckled, he was hearing about his mother for the first time, and the first thing he hears about her is that she just disappeared. The first thing that came to his mind was that she might have abandoned him and his father. Or that she could be working with the Rinvar clan.“They don’t, but when you see this you may believe the opposite.” Keet created a screen and played a video of a woman singing a sweet lullaby for an infant wrapped in a sky blue blanket with twinkling stars all over it that seems to be moving about. “please continue!.” Adam said. Seeing the shocked expression on Keet’s face, Adam thought that the symbiote created something amazing, so he inwardly requested the details of those spiders. However they were just normal spider scouts, like the one Adam used to kill the man who attempted to kidnap Mela.Keet’s surprise wasn’t triggered by the blueprint itself, he counted 8 spiders rushing in all directions at the same time, and the 8 if them seemed semi-intelligent while moving all over the base exploring about. Even Keet wouldn’t be able to accomplish such a level of control without automating the constructs.Which means either the spiders were all automated and the young kid already knows how to automate drone actions, which would be scary at his age. Or he was directly controlling 8 individual actions while still focusing on their talking, which would be horrifying. The reason Keet didn’t consider the probability of an artificial intelligence, is that the spiders were mostly just to

He also wanted to show off a little in front of Keet to pretend that he wasn’t in need of help or assistance, which resulted in a minor knee bruise and a sore knuckles.“That was a cool Landing. Was it painful?!.” Keet chuckled, commenting on his landing and making sure to save the footage of it in his memory for later use.“You noticed! Well! It just needs some practice.” Adam smile

“You should come with me to the main base first.” Keet said to Adam, pointing at the middle of the island. The main base wasn’t far from where they were, the whole island was 20 km across, it would take them less then a minute to reach there flying.“Okay you go first and set a beacon, I’ll test some old tech with this new unlimited energy.” Adam didn’t argue with him, but he was still going to do his tests. He turned his clothe into a skin tight jump suit with a helmet covering his face. Two long thin wings grew from his back, ending with a jet engine each.“Do you know how loud these things are?! If you break the sound barrier with them you could damage many equipment on the island. You should try something else.” Keet stopped Adam from firing up the engines. he hated this era of technology for its too little care for the planet’s well-being. A small conversation.
Adam was sitting on a wooden table behind the house, eating his big breakfast while surrounded by trees, flowers, and whistling birds. The rich sunlight bathed him in its warmth and its wide spectrum of electromagnetic radiations. “Birdy didn’t wake up yet?! He sure doesn’t miss Gem.” He said stuffing his face with more food, He stopped focusing on chewing much, the food would disappear in a few seconds anyway. He was worried about Birdy, it was unnatural for the kid to sleep in.Birdy used to wake up earlier then every one, Adam would sometime Hear him laughing on the top bed, he thought at first that he was having some weird dream. When he asked him about it, Birdy Said that it was the only time of the day he would quietly enjoy reading his comics.“That boy is actually quite something! Adam opened his eyes on a massive head of a man with white hair, white groomed beard, and wide opened eyes staring at him with the kind of amusement one would look at a rare creature with.“Waaaah… what the f*ck old man! Stop doing that!” Adam jumped out from the soft bed, away from the massive head, only to realize that it was just Keet, and his head was normal size, it was just too close for comfort.“Rise and shine Kid! We have a long, long day to catch.” Keet said with a happy grin, he couldn’t just wait until Adam wakes up, he needed some explanation for the events of yesterday.“What long day? Go catch it yourself! Let me sleep I’m tired.” Adam had nothing to wake up early for. The symbiote calculated that his body would need 9 more days to resume his preparatory enhancement. he no longer had a dead line to find a plan to escape, he was already in a safe place. And he most certainly wouldn’t give up sleep to start training early after all that happened yesterday. He was simply t

Birdy was extremely exhausted, he felt that he was about to collapse, but he held on to his consciousness just to finish the third objective of the schedule that Adam created for him. He was disappointed in himself for not being able to continue to the fourth, compared to this schedule, the daily training routine he was used to in the orphanage was literally a breeze. He was oblivious to the fact that he finished a training routine made for an adult athlete, and that there was no fourth objective. the symbiote calculated that he would finish this much of this hell hard schedule, just based on Birdy’s personality, and his ignorance about how hard the training schedule is, and the fact that any human being who experienced weakness would be motivated to become stronger. What kept him going was the image of Keet’s hands wrapping around his whole body, the fear he felt at that moment, he felt too little, and too weak. the name of the protocol Adam created for him made him think that Adam w
The training schedule.
4 hours ago, after Adam went to sleep, Birdy decided to test what he can do with the new blueprint that Adam created, but he was afraid to go outside the wooden house, because Keet might be out there, so he was going to settle with testing the small things. He patted the cute white dog, and then ordered it to turn to the full armor mode with his thoughts. The dog immediately seemed to be giving him a jump hug, only to turn into liquid and swallow Birdy’s entire body into the liquid, and then form the armor around his body, the process only took a split second, but it felt longer to Birdy who was in the middle of it.The armor felt lighter than before, and when he took a step forward, he didn’t feel any weight to it at all. in fact, he felt as if nothing could stop his leg from stepping forward. The amount of power behind the single step was enough to destroy anything in his path.He started to become wary of his movement, to not cause any damage to the house. And then he noticed that
