"Sorry dad, I had some sudden business with a friend." Xavier shook both his parents' hands.

"Xavier, sit down first. We need to talk." Joseph told him to sit down, so everyone gathered in the living room, concentrating on Joseph who was about to say something.

"Why Dad?" Savana asked, trying to break the contact of Joseph's eyes that were piercing Xavier so sharply.

"Are you really incapable of thinking straight?" Joseph snapped at Xavier immediately.

Savana had expected this, she was really worried that her father was angry with Xavier. But looking at Xavier's expression, he was very calm and showed no concern.

"I've been thinking, are you talking about my wedding on the fifteenth?" asked Xavier without taking his eyes off Joseph.

"Yes, what else is there to think about?" said Joseph, looking pleased with himself.

Xavier just nodded and then said calmly. "I have prepared it well. Take it easy, just come to the place when I tell you. You can see for yourselves if I embarrass this family or surprise you with Savana's happiness."

"Do you have money, Xavier? You didn't borrow Savana for the fee, did you?" Anggie, who had been silent and hadn't made a sound, now chimed in.

"No, I'm really trying, as a present for me and Savana."

"Don't borrow money from the bank and make our family pay for it," Joseph snapped, to which Xavier just nodded.

"That's it, now let's eat. We have your word, Xavier. If you disgrace this family, then you must divorce Savana!" Joseph said again before getting up and leading his wife to the dining table. As Savana approached Xavier, she looked worriedly at her husband as he continued to be scolded by his family.

"I'm sorry, I feel bad that you continue to be mistreated by the Cooper family." Savana said with sincerity that made Xavier smile slightly.

The man's hand rose to rub the top of Savana's head. "It's not your fault, no need to apologise Savana."

"Let's eat now," Savana invited, and Xavier nodded.

"You can only eat this because you don't work at all, you can't just eat like us." Anggie, seeing Xavier sitting with Savana, immediately moved the delicious food out of Xavier's reach and placed only rice, tempeh and basil vegetables in front of Xavier.

Savana never expected her mother to behave like this, she was given the same side dishes as her mother and father. But seeing her husband eat only white rice, fried tempeh and basil hurt her feelings.

"This is for you, it's delicious. Just eat it," Savana said as she put a piece of chicken on Xavier's plate.

Seeing this, Xavier slowly shook his head and immediately put it back on Savana's plate.

"I still have some boiled eggs, this is for you." Savana stubbornly put them back on Xavier's plate.

"Tsk, he's not fit to eat well, Savana. He himself refused, after all he's just a guest here and he's not giving money for mum to cook well, so why should he eat well?" Anggie babbled, but was completely ignored by the two couples, who continued to throw side dishes at each other until Xavier finally decided to eat half of the fish Savana had given him.

After dinner, Anggie and Joseph were the first to leave the table. "Xavier, you are going to wash all the dirty dishes and clean the house before you go to bed. In return for not paying to live here, I hope you understand," Anggie said, to which Xavier immediately nodded.

"But that's not..." Savana was about to refuse Anggie's request because she didn't think it was Xavier's job.

But Xavier quickly cut her off. "It's okay Savana, you better go to your room and rest. I'd rather train here first."

Savana looked at Xavier pitifully, she really felt guilty about everything. The man had only just returned, but he was already in so much trouble.

"Really, you don't need to worry about me. It's just an easy job. Even I'm used to hard work like fighting a war, right?" Xavier said as he calmed Savana, who finally wanted to leave Xavier. She wanted to help, but Xavier refused.

After cleaning every corner of the house and setting the dining table, Xavier took a shower and went to his room. He smiled broadly when he saw Savana already asleep, snoring softly and warmly. As Xavier sat on the side of the bed watching his wife's face, he reached out and brushed away the few strands of hair that covered Savana's face.

Then he gently rubbed her thin cheeks, rubbed her beautifully closed eyes, traced her bumpy nose and thin lips, all of which belonged to him. Xavier was very happy to be with his wife again. Just as Xavier was about to kiss his wife on the forehead, he received a text message from Leo.

Leo: Boss, this is David's number. And I wanted to tell you about the Commander-in-Chief's reception on Sunday. Would you like me to represent you? And yes, the Zodiac kids have invited you to a gathering in the evening. They're all here and they'll help me prepare for your wedding.

Xavier was about to reply to Leo's message, but his movement was stopped when Savana moved and grabbed his arm.

"So you want me to rest soon, hm?" Xavier murmured quietly, deciding to put his phone down for a moment and going to bed with Savana. "Good night, thanks for having me."

***

In the morning, Savana's parents were already talking excitedly about the Great Commander. So they ate very quickly and hurriedly tidied up their formal uniforms to go to the office.

"You should get Savana's invitation," Joseph said as he looked at his daughter who was about to say goodbye to Xavier.

"Yes Father, I will if you share it with me." Savana answered Joseph's question with a soft smile.

"I will also ask Cooper to give our family three invitations." Joseph said ambitiously.

"Three for who, Xavier too, huh?" said Savana with a beautiful twinkle in her eyes.

When he heard Xavier's name, Joseph gave Savana a sharp look. "No! Your mother is coming, how could you leave your mother behind? Xavier is not a Cooper, if he wanted to come he could have asked the Smiths. Everyone will come to get the attention of the Great Calling. If we can get his attention, especially since the Great Commander is not far from you, Father will match you," Joseph said, which made Xavier cough when he heard it.

Savana, also surprised, took a quick glance at Xavier before glaring at Joseph. "DAD!"

"Savana, you snapped at your own father just to defend that useless husband!" Anggie defended Joseph by scolding Savana.

"Sorry Mum, sorry Dad. But to say that is very disrespectful, Xavier is here and he is still officially my husband. I will never separate from Xavier!" Savana walked quickly towards the exit, leaving Xavier to follow. He also left after getting Savana into the car and leaving the house.

"She's like that, let it go." Joseph muttered quietly, then said goodbye to Anggie and headed for the office.

"Where are you going?" Joseph asked Xavier when he arrived at the front door and saw that Savana's car had left.

"I'm going to prepare a wedding party like I promised Savana, Father." Xavier said simply, he couldn't possibly be telling the truth.

"You'd better get a job so you don't have to part with Savana." Joseph said firmly before getting into his car and leaving Xavier who quickly closed the door of the house and then walked away a little.

When he found Leo's car, Xavier got in immediately.

"Boss, that was your in-laws, wasn't it?" Leo, who had been there the whole time, asked Xavier when he saw their interaction.

"Hm," Xavier replied, mumbling softly.

"Did she say something bad to you?" Leo asked again as he drove his car.

"No."

Hearing Xavier's answer, Leo did not dare to continue his curiosity.

"I want to see the list of guests who are coming to the Grand Commander's event." Xavier spoke as he stared ahead.

"Ready, boss! You can discuss this with David. He also wants to sort out the guests. He won't allow Smith's family to come, Cancer will take care of the invitees."

"What about Capricorn, has she started investigating Xania's murder?"
