CHAPTER 3 - Fight With A Little Demon

"Abe!!" after gaining back his thoughts, Gabe couldn't help but call out to Abe who was still dazed on the collapsed sofa. He snapped his head back to Tina whom was now walking towards him with that strange look in her eyes.

"Hold it right there kid!" Gabe couldn't help but take a fighting stance 'Wait, am feeling threatened by a five year old girl?!'

"Gabe! What just happened?!" Abe stood up slowly while massaging his swollen left cheek.

"Abe, you okay buddy?!" Gabe replied, quite relieved to hear his partner's voice, but still kept his eyes on the strangely calm little girl.

"I will repeat again, who sent you?" Tina spoke again "That box in your hands, how do you know that it was here?" Tina asked pointing at the box that Gabe was holding. "Answer me!!" this time Tina's voice showed her anger.

"What the hell little girl?!" Abe couldn't make sense of what was going on

"I don't know what you are talking about little girl, but I suggest you stop this foolishness or you'll get hurt" Gabe had never seen a five year old girl this menacing and stubborn, but he had to end this nonsense.

"Oh really? And if I don't?" Tina's eyes flickered dangerously.

"Hey kid, you know what happens to naughty children huh? Well I don't think you wanna know, so be a good girl and listen to your uncles Gabe and Abe, you got that?!" Abe gave Tina a cold hard look in order to frighten her.

Tina's eyes moved from Gabe to Abe, seeing that this charade was going nowhere, *sigh* guess it's plan B then"

Gabe was already fed up with this bullshit, though knowing that he was about to beat up a five year old girl, he wouldn't mind doing whatever was necessary to get the hell out of here.

Before Gabe could make his move though, there was a 'whoosh' sound. Tina appeared in front of him before he could react, holding her right fist in an attacking position.

~Gbuum!~

It felt like a sledge hammer slammed into him, forcing the air from his lungs.

~Clam!~

Gabe was sent crashing into the nearby wall.

Abe was shocked speechless, staring at the groaning Gabe on the floor. Placing his eyes back on Tina, he saw her grinning, with a deadly look in her eyes. Abe knew he was in trouble, getting himself ready for a fight, he heard a 'whoosh' sound, Tina had vanished. Snappily moving his eyes to his left, Tina was already in the air, time seemed frozen, with a rotating spin, Tina's little legs connected with Abe's face, giving him the sensation of being slammed with an iron pole. The force was enough to send him crashing into another sofa.

---------------------------------

Gabe stood up slowly with difficulty, feeling the popping noise of his aching joints, Gabe could only grit his teeth and adjust his focus. 'This is nuts!!' Were they actually having their asses kicked by a five year old?

~Crash!~

Gabe forcefully opened his eyes, only to see his partner Abe sprawled on the floor and groaning miserably. Before he could blink, Tina was already standing in front of him, with steady blinking eyes.

'Demon' was all he could think. "What are you?" he asked in disbelief.

Tina didn't answer his question but moved forward instead. Gabe instinctively pulled out his revolver gun and growled "Stay back!!"

Tina, unperturbed by the gun pointing at her, dashed forward with a 'whoosh' sound. Gabe didn't have the chance to pull the trigger before Tina came before him and push his hands upwards, resulting to him shooting the ceiling.

~Blam!~blam!~

With the shaft and dust from the damaged ceiling falling on his face, Gabe felt a hard kick to his crotch bringing an explosive pain all over his body. Gabe had yet to recover from the unsettling pain below his legs when he felt a pair of hands grabbing his shirt and propelling him forward with a shocking amount of strength, forcing him to do a somersault.

~Clam!~

Gabe slammed the hard floor resulting in cracking sounds from his shoulders and tailbone. He felt the entire world spin and tasted something sweet and warm in his mouth. 'Am I losing consciousness?'

--------------------------------

Abe couldn't believe that a simple break-in and a successful theft will result in him to be thrown around like a rag doll, and by a 'little damn girl!'

'What was she anyway? A specially trained fighting machine?' Wait...does that even make sense? Anyhow, they had to take her down and hard. 'Blam!' he heard Gabe's gun go off, followed by a loud thud and then silence. Abe opened his eyes and to steady himself again only to behold a shocking sight, Gabe was on the floor hardly moving and then the little girl walked over to pick up a box object by his side.

"Gabe!!" Abe called out, while staring with open eyes until he until he sighted Tina's gaze on him, with a deadly smile on her face. His body shuddered on seeing that smile. "What have you done to him?!" his voice was cold and vengeful.

"Well, the same thing am gonna do to you" Tina spoke as-a-matter of fact and walked forward.

"I'd like to see you try!!" Abe roared and pulled a pistol and pointed it at the little girl.

Tina stopped in her tracks and raised her eyebrows, staring at Abe with a strange expression. Abe felt she was scared by his pistol, only to see her hold her chin in a thoughtful manner "Hmm...for a moment there, you sounded just a tiny bit like him" She made a pinch gesture with her right index finger and thumb.

Abe became confused, 'what the hell is she talking about? Sounded a bit like who?'

Tina didn't give him a chance to clear his thoughts before she dashed left and right with a shocking footwork technique and speed.

~Left~right~

~Left~right~

Abe broke into a cold sweat, 'I can't aim at her! ' He frantically shifted his gun left and right trying to aim at Tina. 'Shit! She's too fast!' And then he heard a familiar sound.

~Swoosh~

'Oh no!!' Abe couldn't set his eyes on Tina anymore. 'She's vanished!' From the corner of his eyes, he noticed the figure of Tina being propelled towards him while suspended in the air. Time seemed frozen. 'Dammit, I can't dodge or react in time!' Abe could only helplessly watch as Tina's little fist connected with his face.

~Thuumm!~

Abe could feel his teeth rattling loosely as he was propelled backwards.

~Crash!!~

Abe knocked over the television and slammed the wall, creating a small dent on its wooden surface. He could feel his consciousness slipping away as he heard a steady voice in front of him "When am through with you douchbags, you will tell me everything I need to know".

Abe painfully opened his eyes, only to see Tina standing before him with a cold stare. 'What a pity' he thought solemnly, 'We had to fight a little demon'

Then Tina swung her fist forward.

******************************

Bob had grown accustomed to the nature of his job, which involved taking a fixed amount of delivery products from grocery stores, ice cream shops and the likes to deliver to designated individuals or sell in various cities across the country. His pay was not enviable, though making fifty to hundred dollars a day was acceptable. His only headache, was the kinds of people he had to deal with everyday, some of whom criticise the quality of the products, others whom complain about how late he is to deliver a certain product and others whom are just so inconsiderate enough to purchase said products below the fixed market price.

"Chill out" Michael would always say, "Customers would always be annoying sometimes, all you gotta do is to treat them with a positive attitude"

Bob could clearly remember the first time he met Michael, which was at an antique store a year ago. He remembered coming to the antique store in response to a vacancy notice but was immediately discouraged by the measly salary of 15 dollars per week. Though he pleaded for an increase but was told that it was non-negotiable.

"Hey you", a voice startled him while he dejectedly walked out of the antique store. Turning around he noticed a guy with average height, bright eyes, fluffy hair and tanned skin, wearing a jean trouser and sleeved shirt.

"Uh....can I help you?" Bob blinked his eyes and asked.

"Well, you came to apply for a job right?" the fluffy-haired guy asked gesturing at the antique store.

"Yeah"

"You got the job?"

"No....." Bob lowered his eyes and sighed. "The pay is too little and I got a family to take care of, so....."

"Yeah, I understand....." Mr fluffy hair replied "Well I would like to make you an offer if you are interested"

"What offer?"

"Mini-van sales and retailing"

"Huh?" Bob stared at him with a confused look.

"Well it's kind of a sales delivery job, but I promise you, the pay is quite good"

"How much?" Bob couldn't help but ask.

"50 dollars a day"

"50 bucks?" Bob's eyes widened in surprise.

"At least though, and on good days you get paid up to 100 dollars" the fluffy-haired guy smiled.

"Wait, really?"

"Yes of course" Mr fluffy hair now had an expectant look in his eyes "So what do you think? You interested?"

Bob had a thoughtful look on his face which made the fluffy-haired guy quite anxious.

"Okay, I accept" Bob said after a while.

"Really?"

"Yes sure"

"Nice" Mr fluffy hair was joyful "you won't regret this I promise you" he took Bob's hand in a handshake "Am Michael by the way"

"You can call me Bob"
