Chapter 0008: The Pitiful Dragon Couple

"Sire Murya, what are these?" Sofia looked uncertainly at the red dragon eggs on the ground.

"Ah, yes, just as you guessed, these six are all red dragon eggs," Murya said with a look of melancholy. "They were a gift from my mother, and now they are all mine."

"Ah!" Upon hearing Murya's words, Sofia's maid couldn't help but let out a shocked exclamation.

Murya glanced at the shocked dragonmaid and then at her blushing face, feeling helpless. "You also think my mother's actions are unreasonable, right?"

"No," the maid replied firmly to Murya's question. "Lady Atalissa is a legendary mage, and she must have her reasons for doing this. It's just that we don't understand."

Murya looked at the golden-haired maid with surprise. Obviously, Sofia had been charmed by the golden dragon lady and become her fanatical admirer, worshipping her crazily.

However, Murya didn't mind Sofia's attitude because it was normal. A maid who served as the head of internal affairs in Crystal Castle had to ensure her loyalty. Having a fanatical admirer was more reassuring to a dragon than anything else.

What Murya was really concerned about was the four words Sofia had said: "Legendary mage? Sofia, are you sure you didn't miss a word? Shouldn't it be legendary dragon mage?"

"No, Sire Murya, you don't know," Sofia explained seriously. "Aside from Lady Atalissa's golden dragon identity, her magical abilities alone can rival those of a legendary mage."

Murya fell silent. He realized that the strength of the Golden Dragon Lady exceeded his expectations by far. She wasn't simply a legendary golden dragon; her power was much greater, not something that could be summarized by just being a legendary golden dragon.

"The Golden Dragon Lady is an adult progenitor golden dragon, with a body length of nearly a hundred meters. Simply put, in terms of physique alone, she is definitely at the legendary level. Add to that her magical abilities at the level of a legendary mage, the two combined... Hiss! This is beyond ordinary!" Murya calculated seriously in his mind and then took a sharp intake of breath.

After the shock wore off, Murya was jubilant again. This was his natural backing. With a mother with such extraordinary power, there should be few fools in Elerasia who dared to provoke him.

At the same time, Murya understood why Sofia was so firmly devoted to his mother. His Golden Dragon Mother, despite her noble lineage, didn't sleep all day like ordinary dragons, waiting for her strength to grow. Instead, she was very diligent in studying spells and had achieved many achievements that even ancient dragons hadn't achieved—a legendary-level spellcaster.

Mysteriously, Murya recalled a saying: The most terrifying thing isn't genius, but genius working harder than you.

After standing there and sighing for a while, Murya took the lead in picking up one of the red dragon eggs, and then each of the maidens took one as well.

"Hehe!" Murya looked down and saw that each of the five maidens, who were above average in stature and appearance, was holding a red dragon egg that matched their height. It was amusing.

Although the dragonmaidens in the castle looked very similar to humans, they were quite different from ordinary humans. They had been influenced by the aura of dragons and undergone a shift in their life level. Despite their seemingly delicate appearance, they contained astonishing power. Thus, they could easily perform various tasks that were very heavy and tiring in the eyes of ordinary human men.

Just as Murya was preparing to take all six red dragon eggs back to his room with the maidens, he noticed the two red dragons that he had been ignoring for a long time.

"How should these two red dragons be handled?" Murya lifted his chin toward the position of the red dragons and asked Sofia, "Are we just going to leave them like this?"

"Uh, where is Lady Atalissa?" Only now did the maid remember that she hadn't seen her mistress the entire time.

"She went to sleep," Murya replied irritably.

"Then we can only leave them like this until Lady Atalissa wakes up and decides what to do," the maid said.

"Are you sure?" Murya felt somewhat uneasy. These were the leaders of the red dragons, and they were just left casually like this? Who knows when his Golden Dragon Mother will wake up. Dragons and humans have completely different concepts of time. Who knows how long it will take for the Golden Dragon Mother to wake up from a nap?

The maid nodded, so Murya could only look helplessly at the golden chains binding the two red dragons. He hoped the chains were strong enough to securely hold the two red dragons. Otherwise, the worst-case scenario would be that the two dragons would wake up while still bound, causing chaos in the castle and waking the Golden Dragon Mother, resulting in another round of suppression.

After imagining the worst-case scenario, Murya wasn't worried anymore. It wasn't something he should worry about anyway.

"Roar!" Just as Murya stepped into the corridor to leave the castle hall, a low dragon roar came from behind him. It was obvious that one of the red dragons had awakened.

So, Murya returned to the hall. Having gotten used to the exaggerated size of the Golden Dragon Mother, he couldn't help but look down on the relatively small size of the red dragon, which was only about thirty meters long. Its fierce appearance didn't impress him much. After all, it had been captured and brought back by the Golden Dragon Mother. So, Murya wasn't afraid.

"Roar!" As expected, the first to awaken was the larger red dragon. Sensing the restraints on its body, it struggled for a few times, but to no avail. The golden chains continued to bind it securely, rendering its movements useless. Finally, it could only let out a few angry roars.

Then, the red dragon stopped moving, because it realized where it was. Its dull eyes looked around at everything, its mouth opening and closing a few times without making any sound.

Everywhere the red dragon's gaze fell, there were crystals of various colors shining with the enchanting light of magic. The abundant magical power within the crystals told it that these were not ordinary crystals but valuable magic crystals.

However, how could this be possible? So many magic crystals, stacking up all the magic crystals in the world in front of it.

"By Tiamat, have I come to the great realm of the evil dragon mother?" Faced with something beyond its understanding, the evil dragon could only think of the evil dragon mother, whom it had rarely prayed to.

"Qu, you're not dead yet? How could you go to that deformed old mother dragon's realm?" Hearing the dragon's mumbling, Murya couldn't help but mock, expressing his disdain for the evil dragon mother.

"Who are you?" Hearing Murya's words, the red dragon was stunned, then immediately confirmed the fact that it was still alive. It looked up at the oversized baby who spoke in dragon language.

"What kind of creature are you, a half-dragon? No, there's no such thing as a half-dragon like you, with such a big size and still in a baby form." The red dragon thought seriously for a moment, then twitched its nostrils a few times, smelling a very familiar scent.

The scent it remembered vividly. The red dragon swore that it would never forget it in its life. So, the scarlet-red dragon involuntarily shrank back and growled low in dragon language at Murya, "What's your relationship with the golden sun, Atalissa?"

Then, the red dragon anxiously looked around and kept sniffing with its nostrils. It discovered a fact that made dragons despair. In this dazzling crystal building, there was the unforgettable scent everywhere.

"What place is this?" The uneasy red dragon added another question, although it had already guessed the answer.

"My mother, Atalissa's castle," Murya said playfully.

"This is the lair of the golden sun!" The red dragon's face was full of disbelief. In its opinion, such a luxurious lair was only worthy of the Dragon God. Atalissa, even if her strength was abnormal, shouldn't live in such a lair.

"This is a lair, my foot." Murya heard the red dragon's words and lifted his short legs, kicking the red dragon's fierce dragon head without hesitation, completely disregarding the dragon's dignity. "This is a castle, a castle. Did you mishear or do you have a problem with your brain?"

"Roar!" Being kicked by a baby dragon in its infancy, the proud red dragon couldn't bear the humiliation. So, it struggled to break free, but as the red dragon moved...

"Whoosh! Whoosh!" One tied to a load-bearing pillar in the hall, the other bound to the red dragon with golden chains suddenly shone brightly and began to shrink, binding the red dragon's body tightly, rendering its movements meaningless after scaring Murya with a big jump.

"It can't move at all." After retreating a few steps, Murya found that the imprisonment ability of the golden chains was astonishing, leaving the red dragon unable to do anything except speak.

"Good baby." Murya looked hotly at the golden chains on the dragon. Just now, everything indicated that this chain had a certain degree of autonomy, which reminded him of some similar objects in legends from his previous life. Unfortunately, he could only look.

"Even if you are Atalissa's offspring, you shouldn't insult a powerful red dragon like this." The red dragon, who found himself unable to do much, said in a dragon language full of anger.

"Powerful?" Murya sneered at the red dragon, which was bound like a dead dog. He didn't hesitate to express his opinion of the red dragon. "Hehe!"

"Hmph!" The red dragon heard Murya's ridicule and turned its head away, closing its eyes.

"How do you plan to treat my children?" At some point, the slightly smaller red dragon woke up and saw Murya holding the eggs with the maidens.

Hearing this slightly magnetic voice, obviously a mother dragon's voice, Murya smiled, showing his white teeth. "Your children? No, they're mine now."
