Chapter One Hundred and Thirty One

Madame Gu held her phone close to her ear as she paced the office. The clanging of her heels against the marbled floor could be heard.

"How did this happen?" She asked in a loud tone.

The thrombin veins in her neck were evident of her anger. She was sweating lightly, even though the AC in the office was turned on. She wiped her forehead as she listened quietly to the person on the other end of the phone.

"Then find out who's trying to fuck with my son!" She commanded. "It's not just him, but the company as well. They are trying so hard to bring my son down, and thereby putting the company in jeopardy."

She paused again and sighed deeply. She listened for a few more seconds before speaking again.

"Then get to work immediately! Nothing must happen to my son or the company. I mean, nothing!"
