Chapter Seventy-Four

"If I notice for one that you are doing something else, Ava," Benedict threatened.

Ava hissed.

Shs stood up to her feet and walked towards his table. They were both seated in his study. While he was behind the table, she sat on the couch there listening to him speak.

There was a bowl in front of Benedict, and there were two apples in the bowl. Ava picked one of the apples and walked back to the couch. Shs settled back on the couch, and bit from the apple, and faced Mr Benedict again.

"What makes you think I'm doing something else? Why can't you just trust me?" She questioned.

Benedict stood up from the chair. He felt like the table in front of him was blocking him from Ava. He grabbed the chair after the table and pulled it towards the couch. He sat on it and faced her.

"Are you really not doing something else?" He asked and grabbed Ava by her jaw.

She slapped his hands off.
