Where Did Noe Go?

"Why?" I asked.

‘Are you an idiot?’ he asked me.

“Tell me what you mean without being insulting, will you?” I asked him.

'If that friend of yours disappeared while he was holding the book, don't you think that the book could be dangerous?' he asked.

This little fellow was right too, but I thought otherwise. If by holding this book I can find out where Noe has gone, isn't this the only way to find him again?

'Don't be stupid, Ares! We have a more important mission. Your friend might be back soon!' Rex shouted.

Sometimes Rex sounds like my uncle. I was confused, actually, he was ten or forty years old because he sounded like an old man. However, no matter what he said, curiosity was already clinging to me. I stretched my hand toward the book that was lying on it. I was starting to feel scared, but I couldn't leave Noe alone in a place that might be horrible.

'Or maybe you're just overdoing it, Ares! Your friend might get lost or oversleep in one of the alleys here!’ Rex shouted again.
