Sixty three years ago…

I can’t see. What’s going on?

Am I dead?

No, I don’t think so, that’s good at least…

I can’t open my eyes. What’s up with that?

I can’t feel my arms… How about my legs…? No, nothing.

Something feels coarse around my body. Wait, I feel something? That’s good. I’m definitely alive.

Where am I?

…Who… am I?

I can’t seem to remember. I don’t think now is the time to worry about that. I have to figure of what to do, why I can’t move and where I am.

With the coarse texture of what has enveloped around me, which could probably be what’s keeping me pinned. I think I’m buried under something, sand.

How long have I been under here?

And why am I not dead, let alone not suffocating?

Okay how is this happening? That’s good—Don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining or anything but… Is this even possible?

That’s the least of my problems now. Since I am alive it stands to reason that I must find a way out of this grave… but how, if I can’t even move my anything?

I’ll have to keep trying.

Let’s give it another go.

Now that I know there is lots of sand on me opening my eyes and mouth wouldn’t be a good idea, as if I can anyway.

My arms… No go.

Legs… Nope.

What do I do now? I wonder how long I can stay here without suffocating. Wait, am I even breathing?

Yeah. I think I am… yeah. Wait, how is it possibly to breath underground? Makes no sense… You know what, I don’t even want to know how it’s possible under the compact compost let alone alive.

…!!!

My hand just moved…! Yeah, it did. But I didn’t… I didn’t move it, at least I wasn’t thinking of moving it. Did I do it subconsciously? No… Damn it…! I still have no control.

They move again, so did my legs…

The sand feels aggressive over my skin. I’m moving? Crawling perhaps? Right now it feels like I’m swimming.

I don’t feel any pain of sorts, just the coarse feeling. I don’t have to worry about that now.

I have to face the fact that something else has control of my body and I’m just a passenger… I don’t think I should be worried right now about my body moving without my volition, at the very least I’m making progress and I will soon be out of this current predicament then I can move on to solving the next with focus…

The crushing weight of the sand is starting to lessen. I think I’m almost to the surface.

How long have I been stuck down here…?

My right hand feels light. Has it broken through to the surface?… Yes…!

My upper body is going up…

It makes it out after my left joins the right and pull me up.

I don’t remember anything from my past, where I am but is this how the world is supposed to look like?

I opened my eyes only to see I was standing in the middle of a seemingly unending ocean of sand, a landscape I am unfamiliar with.

What happened here?

It’s not a question to ask giving the fact I can’t remember anything. My mind is a complete blank, almost blank but the decrepit rusted metal construct is in ruins and by the looks of it I’m sure something happened, well, I think so.

But, where am I?

Who am I?

What is this place?

The horizon was lit with a bright orange-pink glow as the sun was about rising ushering in the beginning of a new day in the desert town. This should have been the time that desert town was already bustling, yet for some reason it was silent, empty. The feeling was like that of a ghost town. Not even a single soul was up about their usual morning routines. At a glance it felt like the place had just been abandoned, although it didn’t exactly feel like a ghost town, there was a certain calm to it. A calm that wasn’t there before, only unavoidable tension. As the morning became brighter and the sun rose higher in the sky the state of the ruin remained unchanged. It felt even more void of life. Just like that the sun went down and night came, cold as usual. The stone lamps which were hanged the previous night, had been left on throughout the day had made their glow now faint and gave an appearance contrasting to the feeling which should be. The place looked eerie but it was still calm

The sun rose on the east waking up the desert town. Unlike the day before, the town was bustling. There were genuine smiles on everyones faces that it was almost unsettling. Though they weren’t sure exactly what brought the calm they could only hold on to it even if they thought it would be short-lived. But there was a fast spreading rumor that it was possible to leave the ruin and that a larger majority of the hunters had already done so after they managed to stop whatever caused it after so long. Of course the last bit may have been slightly true, Nate was a hunter of some sorts. It was a cover set up by Lreen to cover up the truth about their deaths and not incite more panic than that which still lingered in them. The weight they felt over them had been lifted. “It’s been so long since I smelled the outside.” Alayne, the old troll who was the owner of TRe BoC Alayne, said as he slowly strolled down the happy street. Allora joined him returning from a thorough search of the rui

It’s been five days since I left the ruin—being in that place really scrambled up my thoughts, I hardly knew what was going on, felt I was being suppressed in some way thinking about consequences at every turn—and Iya followed. Yes Iya! The name came to me a few days back though I haven’t given it to her. As much as I hate to, not wanting her to get to attached to me I can’t have calling her little one every time. After all Allora said she was nameless. Why bother naming her? Perhaps it was a sense of responsibility for having hurt her? … I doubt it. I have no idea where—direction-wise—I’m heading but back there this was the last thing I had asked Lreen before going at Kein. Where the bounty I had gotten from Taro was issued and about ‘port town, Erndt’. I was clueless about the directions he gave but from his gestures I got the general location of the place. He said the bounty was issued somewhere up north, a kingdom, Avd’elisi. My assumption was right. A kingdom? Honestly can’t

I guess breaking it should be one of my priorities if I want to get inside and dig for my past. This raises a question. Are my memories truly lost or lock? If they are locked it’s one thing, but if it’s lost it’s another and each would have a different approach. But, locked as a result of event or something else? I get the feeling that it’s not that simple… maybe both, some locked and the rest stolen. Either way the key to remembering is to finding the one who did this and regaining my soul. “I can probably guess what you’re thinking, but I doubt anyone can do it. Not with the current state of this world and magic. They’d have to have power beyond that of yours before they could even put some work in.” Then that is a gamble I can take. Someone even more powerful to break the lock. I might just find one on my journey. “Why serious on going in there? Stay out of my mind.” “Aren’t you curious about it all?” I see a flash of him; he had a eyes mischievous expression: narrowed eyes wit

And just like that he left. She let out a sigh. “What a strange boy.” The air around him was mystifying as it was ferocious. His eyes without life, his expression lacking in emotion. He was blank. His presence was both terrifying as it was soothing. For someone at his age to have such impressive atmosphere around him, he must be really something. She thought. “But what do I tell this little one?” Born into this world only to know hardship. It changes everyone… but for a child to have such a calm demeanor even though knowing the harshness of the world is truly amazing. These two really are something. She continued in thought. But she couldn’t help but wonder what pain the little girl had gone through to be able to cope with her current predicaments and the ones that were yet to come. She knew, for everyone: that the world has taken something from them. “How would she react learning of his departure?” She was a child and in due time she would forget, she’s still a child after all

“You really think this journey would be worth it?” The sun was slowly sinking into the western horizon. It’s been three days since this duo, the half Orc-elf girl and the Lamia who was in her human form, Lira and Allora left the ruins and so far they had seen nothing but remnants of the old world, sticking out from their graves. Some things they were unfamiliar with and some just vague familiarity as they’ve heard rumors of them from the hunters that came into the ruins, the home they left. All that while the enthusiasm, the gleam from her eyes did not waver. Everything she saw was most likely a distraction and if not for Lira’s presence drawing her attention back to reality she would have been lost in the ‘wonders’ of such ‘junk’. This made Lira wonder the same. “What do you thing that was?” Allora asked when she saw an old rusty oil pump that had stopped working long ago. “I wonder what this was used for back then?” A question when she saw what seemed to be a cell tower. It’s w

He titled his head a little and his expression softened, yet the expression he wore; the gently smile that almost looked caring and his soft gaze made him look even more sinister. “N—” Before he could say a word a hand had grabbed his neck from behind. The power in the grip prevented any word from escaping and lifted him off the floor. In his line of sight one of his persecutors was missing, the werehyena. Allora’s eyes shot open. The gnome struggled as he tried to free the grip around his neck. Slowly suffocating. Allora couldn’t take her eyes off the scene unfolding before her… She blinked… “What’s going on?” A sense of forebode came over her. What’s going on? “How am I supposed to know?” Came the reply. Are they really going to kill him? “We can’t just sit here and do nothing?” Suddenly she voiced out. Lira quickly grabbed her before she could make a move. ”Are you crazy! That is just what we are going to do.” She panicked, her breath becoming haggard. “Why!? Should I s

    Chapter 2 REVENANT'S PAST - PART 15

“Are you okay.” I look to where her voice came. Chika had somehow gotten herself out of the binding around her arm. When I glanced it seemed like it was cut. And in her hand was a very small knife, I’m sure she tucked it somewhere they wouldn’t find. She was checking on the two, cutting their bindings. I took a step to move closer. “Ugh…” I thought it would take a while to kick in. I finally got to relax seeing everything was fine, but immediately I did. I felt pain grip my entire body. My grip turned slippery from the blood that was slipping from the gunshot wound on my shoulder, and from the one that wasn’t mine. If that was all then I could deal with it, it would probably healed after a while. Aside from the nicks and cuts. I got careless back there. True, with this new found strength and reflexes you could do much, but when your are under fire it’s easy to be blindsided that was it. And that was what happ

“… I’m here to collect my friends. And I wouldn’t hesitate to cut anyone down anyone who stands in my way!” I say as I straightened my poster, walking. “Intruder at the entrance. Men down.” … “Don’t let him in. Do whatever it takes to put him down.” I could hear the distressed voices of the men in this place. They were scrambling to get here. And those that were already close by were let lose bullets. From long before I’ve known them to be rather conservative of their ammunition, after all, the amount would be so little. But it still rained. I weaved through the debris, walls, and any cover as they closed in with cover fire. Those that chose close combat with their machetes and knives were cut down by the scythe. I closed in one by one on their gunners taking them out and moving away before I got pinned. Why? Why? Why? Why do I feel like this? Despite the rage in me, hypocritical, it may be, why

“I’d appreciate it if you could get on with it.”“… Absolutely. Brest is his name.”Why do I get the feeling the sound of his name is exactly how he looks?“Who is he? What is his role in all this?”“The same for anyone in his position. A seat. Somewhere to belong, to hold authority.”“… I don’t get it. He’s already made his way into the top brass of that opposition faction, I assume, so why the need for more power.”Not just anyone could make it into the elites, in this case faction heads. He has to have something they need and is of the same mindset.“… Show me a person who has no greed and I will show you a world without without suffering…”Greed? In this situation do I seem to have that?… I guess. Despite having Amara, a unique to existence, I still wanted for Chika. Is that greed or lust. And then the fact, though not my own, I preferred her to be the one in control. Dose that also count.“… What do you think a desperate man would do, if you were in his situation?” He as

When the sun got over the horizon, I got out of Chika’s place. Using the Scythe as support I dragged my aching body towards the settlement. Damn it! My whole body hurts like hell. Despite it only being sunrise the settlement is bustling. The hunt must have already been gathered and people where already up to collect their ration for the day. Technically there should be enough to ration them for months if the meat is cured, but with the time it took to cure and the amount of people that came in occasionally the daily hunts were mostly shared daily until the ones in stores was cured. I’m somewhat a familiar figure around here. Draped in a cloak, much better from the very first tarp I used, though it was old. They knew of the relation I had with Chika and the fact I was one of those who hunted most people stayed cleared of me. Then there’s the rumor about the scythe. Something about the weapon being cursed and me being a dangerous and cruel character, That really hurt my feeling, you

I pulled her in closer.I didn’t have any top on so she could only wrap her arms around my neck leaving me to undo her buttons. Her lips never left mine as I worked to free her trapped bust. She was just right. I’m not one to like ‘em big or small, but in the middle, maybe a tad big than that average, just like how she was.I cupped a breast feeling it’s soft, sinking goodness in my hand. Breaking off I traced her neck, kissing all the way the cherry which sat perfectly on her mound taking it into my mouth, sucking on it.“Ah…” Her moans were soft, afraid to let it out. Her hand found my buckle as I undid her with a hand, slowly sinking into the mood.Gently lean her backward until her back touched the bed.On my knees I pulled off her pants and underwear, feasting on

With the exception of a few other races, their opponents were indeed the Theriantropes and a few other monster looking humanoids. Can’t really call them monsters if they can communicate, can we?. Here’s me, a guy who is avid about fantasy setting and the like and its inhabitants, seeing them do this breaks my heart. It goes as far to see the Demi-human, you know those animal/monster ears, tail and other parts, but looking no different, if not slightly, from humans being affect. Oh my dear Waifus. I was more active later in the night and hardly witnessed any. I mostly rested during the day, if not going to Chika’s or the old/young which listening to their reports, and gossips.
