The girl had a bewildered look on her face as she saw the tip of the blade being pointed at her neck while Lucas sat on her stomach making it difficult for her to move. She had found many other humans and she had managed to defeat them but now she had just lost to another human.

"So, can we talk like civil people miss demigoddess?" Lucas asked her after she didn't reply the first time.

The girl grit her teeth as she glared at him when she heard that but then sighed before looking at him.

"Fine, we can talk." The girl said to him.

"Great." Lucas said with a smile as he stood up but it couldn't be seen due to the scarf.

He sheathed his sword and then showed his hand to her. The girl looked at the hand confused before looking at him. He gestured to his hand and she slowly grabbed it. Lucas then pulled her up and let her hand go.

He then turned around and sat on a rock and beckoned her to sit at the rock beside him. The girl huffed before she made her way to the rock and sat on it. After a few seconds passed Lucas decided to ask his questions.

"So, first of all, what is your name?" Lucas asked her as she looked at him blankly.

"Aslaug." The girl, Aslaug simply said.

"Alright then Aslaug, you said you are a demigoddess, yes." Lucas said to her.

"Yes I'm a demigoddess, do you doubt me?" Aslaug said indignantly.

"No I don't. I just wanted to make sure. That's why I want to know this, who is your godly parent?" Lucas asked her calmly.

Aslaug looked at him silently when he asked her. Lucas became a bit confused as to why she didn't answer him as he looked at her. Aslaug looked at him for a few more seconds before sighing.

"I don't know who my godly parent is." Aslaug said to him.

"Wait you don't? Then how are you so sure that you're a demigoddess?" Lucas asked her.

"Hmph, of course I'm sure! If not then I wouldn't have this with me." Aslaug said as her sword appeared in her hand in a yellow light.

Now that the fight was over Lucas could clearly see the blade and could make out runes on the blade. The handle also has engravings on them. Lucas could also see the aura around the sword with his eyes but unlike with the books the aura surrounding the sword and felt a lot more different.

The sword itself is quite a work of art. The sword is blue in colour with the engravings on the middle and flat part of the blade. The whole sword itself seemed to have been made using one piece of metal so the handle was also part of it. There were engravings in the hand guard and pommel as well.

"So that sword is from your godly parent. How strong is it?" Lucas asked her.

"The sword is very strong. I'm sure that this is one of the strongest swords in the world." Aslaug said as her tone became haughty.

"Yes I agree the sword is very impressive. Unfortunately you don't have the necessary skill to use it." Lucas said to her.

"Wah. Well I am quite a competent swordswoman you hear me! My reflexes and reaction to situations are much faster than mere mortals." Aslaug said indignantly.

"Alright alright no need to talk like that. Then, why don't we talk about the reason I have come here." Lucas said with a smile.

"You want me to fight for your side in the war don't you?" Aslaug said flatly as she looked him in the eye.

"Well mostly, I could get a strong accomplice so that was there as well." Lucas said to her.

"I really don't want to be a part of something like a war between mortals. It's beneath a demigoddess like me to participate in such a petty thing like that." Aslaug said in a prideful tone.

"You still have that pride huh. Well in that case how about a deal?" Lucas said to her.

"What kind of deal?" Aslaug asked him.

"As long as you aren't able to defeat me in a battle you will have to be my subordinate. When you are able to defeat me in battle you will be free to do as you please. This deal is quite fair is it not?" Lucas said to her as he layed out the deal.

Aslaug considered the deal as she thought about it.

'That is a fair deal. And I can't just decline, this mortal has managed to defeat me in battle and if I, a demigoddess refuses it then I won't be able to look at myself.' Aslaug thought with a frustrated look on her face.

Lucas meanwhile saw the frustration on her face which caused him to smile at it.

'It would seem her pride won't allow her to decline this. Then again, I was counting on that to happen.' Lucas thought to himself happily.

He waited for her to give her answer and a few seconds later she looked at him.

"Fine, I accept the deal. But only because as a demigoddess I can't decline a fair deal with a mortal. But don't let this get to your head cause I will defeat you you hear me mortal!" Aslaug said as she pointed at him with an angry face.

"And I'll be waiting for that day to come. But I must warn you, you have to train much harder if you want to defeat me. Considering that I will keep on getting stronger." Lucas said as he got up.

"Hmph, I'm a demigoddess, my body shall get stronger quickly than a mortal body." Aslaug said haughtily as she made her sword disappear.

"Alright then. I know you have agreed to the deal but let's make an official one here." Lucas said to her.

"Why?" Aslaug said to her.

"To make it kind of official like how a king or queen signs a document after agreeing to a deal. We can shake our hands as a sign of agreement." Lucas said to her.

"Fine. I don't mind. I still think it's a waste of time but you want to do it so I'll indulge you." Aslaug said to him.

Lucas smiled when he heard her. Then a magic circle appeared on his right hand which was hidden by his glove.

"As long as you Aslaug are unable to beat me in battle you will have to serve me as my subordinate. When you are able to defeat me in battle you shall be free. Do you agree to the terms Demigoddess Aslaug?" Lucas said to her as he presented his right hand.

"I, Demigoddess Aslaug, accept the terms of this deal." Aslaug said as she grabbed his hand, though she made sure to squeeze it a bit.

Lucas felt it but he was more happy about what was to come.

"The terms of the deal have been agreed upon by both parties. This contract has been agreed and sealed." Lucas announced with a smile.

"Wait what?" Aslaug said surprised when she heard it.

But before she could voice out her confusion Lucas's hand glowed and the magic circle appeared on top of both their hands. She was surprised but Lucas was happy as both the circles joined together and then disappeared and covered the two in a purple aura before disappearing.

"What was that?" Aslaug shouted as she yanked her hand from his.

" Do not fret. That was a simple oath spell. Though I say simple it is quite powerful according to how you use it. It makes it so that both parties keep both the ends of the contract and don't break it. If one party does manage to break the terms of the contract the spell will cause some bodily harm but it won't be threatening." Lucas explained with a smile.

"You bastard! You tricked me!" Aslaug shouted as she glared at him.

"I was just making sure that I could trust you with the things that I would ask you to do. This is an insurance and you know the terms, for you to be free all you have to do is beat me in battle." Lucas said to her.

"Bastard." Aslaug said with disdain as she glared at him.

"Now now, let's get out from here shall we. We can talk after we get to my house." Lucas said with a smile as he started to walk away.

Aslaug looked at him angrily before she sighed and walked behind him knowing the deal. Lucas meanwhile smirked when he saw that she was following him.

'This will make things more easy for me.' Lucas thought to himself with a smirk.

Lucas and Aslaug reached another house in the city. Lucas didn't want to make his parents aware of the existence of Aslaug and his other identity so he took her to another house he owns. He had changed into civilian attire before he came to the city but made sure that none would recognise him. He reached the house and entered it with Aslaug following him. He has given her a cloak to wear so that people won't see her face. The cloak was also ragged to make it seem like she is poor."Finally I can get rid of this thing." Aslaug said as she threw away the cloak."You don't have to act like that for a cloak." Lucas said to her."Hmph, making someone of my status wear something like that would be more than enough to warrant punishment." Aslaug said with a glare."Maybe, but I don't have time for that. I have to return to my home so that my parents don't get suspicious." Lucas said to her."Whatever. So what am I supposed to do?" Aslaug asked him with a frown."You must stay here in this h

Lucas expected many things when he made his way to the commander's tent, but what he didn't expect was for the princess of the Kingdom to also be present in the tent which caused him to be surprised. He saw that the princess herself is in armor as a sword is hanging from the left side of her hip like his own sword. She is wearing quite an extravagant armor which was mainly silver in colour. She was wearing pants or something similar as she also wore armor which was similar to him.Her armor was primarily silver with red highlights, it covers her breasts, shoulders, knees, forearms and back. She looked like a warrior princess in that armor and it seems that she has decided to forgo her Tiara as her hair fell free on her back. Lucas also noticed that the amount of people in the tent were also great which wasn't that surprising since this is the commander's tent. The tent has much space and there was a table in the middle which has the map of the two kingdoms. The commander which he thi

"So do you understand what you have to do?" Lucas asked as he looked at an armored knight standing in front of him.It was easy to know that the knight is female due to her armor, and another fact that can be easily noted was that she is shorter than him. She was fully covered in her armor so seeing her face and body isn't an option."Yes." The knight said whose voice belonged to Aslaug."Good, I want to keep your existence a secret. Who knows what the other people will do when they learn that a demigoddess is amongst them." Lucas said to her."Is that why you made me wear this armor?" Aslaug asked him in an annoyed tone."Precisely, the people can't see your face under the armor and more so because you're a young woman. And you know how women are treated in the army don't you?" Lucas asked her."Tch! Yes, I am well aware of how women are seen as not fit for battle." Aslaug said with distaste."Look, I know you don't like it but this is the way you have to fight. Right after the two royals gave their signals both the armies ran towards the other. Lucas drew his blade and ran a bit more in front of the army with Aslaug trailing behind him. The soldiers behind the two were surprised at their speed while Lucas's focus was on the army in front of him.'He's faster than when he fought me. Of course I'm holding back on my strength but he is still quite fast.' Aslaug thought to herself as she noted his speed.A few metres away from the two Olivia was also running but she was holding a spear while the sword he had used for the signal was sheathed. She was also quite fast as she was also a bit more in front of the army with her teacher Andvaranaut trailing behind. The two of them caught sight of Lucas and Aslaug running in front of the army as well.'He's very fast and his female knight is as well. It was a good decision to include them in this part of our army.' Olivia thought to herself as she turned her attention to the opposing army.Olivia was wea

Aslaug looked at the state of the soldiers before looking at him."Just how did you get so strong. That strength is greater than what a human can possess. That goes beyond the limits of what a human can do." Aslaug said to him as she surveyed the battlefield. No soldiers were coming to the two of them when they saw Lucas with her and she knew that fact. Lucas asked Alpha for confirmation."Yes master Lucas, they are attacking from both sides but are covert about him and it seems that they are trying to catch the army off guard." Alpha said to him.It has been 2 hours since the weather was taken control of by the enemy mage. It would continue to rain lightning which kept the two armies separated. Due to this no soldier from either side have tried to cross it which is the reason he is currently in his tent listening to the boy."Number's?" Lucas asked him seriously."350 on the left. 480 on the right." Alpha said immediately."Hmm, are the others ready to fight?" Lucas asked him."Yes, we are waiting for your command." Alpha said to him."Engage the ones on the left. I will take care of those coming from the right." Lucas said to him as he stood up."Yes my lord." It was only after a few minutes did the princess return to the room as she smiled at him. "Please follow me, my father and mother wish to speak with you." Olivia said to him as he nodded and stood up. He followed her out of the room as they went towards the throne room. Lucas sat on the back of Falkor as he made his way to the royal castle, it would've taken more time but he knew the importance of this so he made his wyvern fly quickly. Most of the people had already seen his wyvern and since there weren't any others in sight, they wouldn't attack him. But he didn't want to raise the alarm so he made sure that they were flying near the ground to make the guards know that he is coming. And as he had hoped they didn't attack him, as most of the guards had recognised his wyvern as even if not all of the guards had come to fight in the war, there were still those who recognised him and his ride. They reached the gates and Falkor landed carefully as he scratched his neck as the wyvern growled in response, happy at the scratching he received. "I am Lucas Larsen of the Larsen family and I wish to speak with the princess, it's important. I didn't have the time to send a letter prior." Lucas said to the guards stationed at the front of the gates seriou

Alpha watched the border of the two kingdoms with the rest of his group. For the time being, he hasn't seen any unusual activity from the other kingdom which put his mind at ease for the moment as it meant that the danger that his master has thought of hasn't happened yet. He trusts his master and knows that if he has said that a danger is coming, then it will be coming. But for the master to not know what the danger is means that the problem is something that might be hazardous to them all. He is sure that they are very powerful, but he also doesn't want to be too arrogant about it as he knows that it might lead to his death. It was one of the first things that was taught by their master to them when he was teaching them about fighting. Thinking that th

Lucas sat in Aslaug's home as he was being watched by Aslaug and Kriemhild as they looked at each other, not knowing what to make of the situation in front of them as he had a troubled look on his face. "So, why are you here?" Aslaug asked him as she was curious. "A spell that I had used to warn me about danger activated and I don't know what the danger is." Lucas said to them as he looked at the two women. "Wait, what kind of spell is that?" Kriemhild asked in surprise at hearing that. "That is a spell that I had discovered in the past, but for it to be activated means that it is going to be very dangerous. Not to mention, the chance of me dying is also high." Lucas said causing the two to look at him in surprise. "Truly?" Kriemhild asked in surprise, an emotion which was also mirrored by Aslaug. "Yes, this particular spell I used will warn me about great dangers and when I am going to be in a situation where I could lose my life." Lucas said to them as he reclined on his

Eske frowned as he sat on his throne as the last defeat of their kingdom against their enemy country of Norway. He had thought that they would have been able to beat the kingdom with the dragons that they have with them, and considering the fact that he has his own court mage, he was fairly certain that they would have been able to defeat the army. But the sudden arrival of that boy and his help in the war changed the tides causing them to lose the war and the two dragons. He was obviously displeased with what had happened as he had just lost to their enemies which will be a blow to the pride of his family. But he is also a bit relieved as they have managed to come to an agreement which isn't too exploitive. The fact that the contract was good enough to allow for them to maintain their rule was a good thing, even if they have to give the other kingdom money monthly and also have to give up the rights of the crystal cave as well. There was also the fact that it took a lot of thei

Lucas looked at the Alpha who is standing in front of him seriously as the man is looking at him a bit nervously while being looked at by Lucas very seriously. Lucas is the de facto leader of the boys and when he isn't leading them and giving them jobs then it's his duty to make sure that they work correctly. "So you got nothing unusual to report?" Lucas asked him seriously as he sat in his chair. "No sir. We did a check just as you had told us to, but we haven't found anything unusual happening inside the country. Even in the other noble families or around the royal palace." Alpha said to him seriously with a nod. Lucas narrowed his eyes at that as he reclined on the chair he is sitting on as he closed his eyes and thought about it. The runes are really useful and powerful ones which acts like it when a great danger to the user is afoot. Which is the reason why he had decided to use it on himself so that he will be able to know if there is going to be danger to him. So he is

"My Lord, is this truly the right course of action." A soldier asked Eric as the group of soldiers were walking through a cave tunnel. "Yes. The soldier's flinched at his glare as they knew that they couldn't and shouldn't do anything that might anger him. They also don't know what it is that their prince wants to find for himself in the cave, but as soldiers it is their duty to follow his orders and so that is what they are doing. "Now that's a good boy." Lucas said as he was petting Falkor. He is currently flying with the wyvern as he wanted to make sure that he had the ability to fly freely without anyone being afraid of it attacking. Even if he is his wyvern, the people will naturally be scared about a creature of its size. But he didn't mind it that much as he enjoyed flying with Falkor, as it was a way for him to be alone from his otherwise noble life. It is good, he will admit and having people around him and treating him with respect is a good thing, but sometimes he just wants to be left alone to enjoy some time alone. He looked at the kingdom from above and it was a bit cloudy so the people probably hadn't noticed them. Not to mention the fact that people don't usually look up so it would work in his favour. He has also been having his boys keep a watch around the kingdom for any kind of suspicious movement. Considering how the prince has acted, he doesn't want to let down his guard in case the

Eric threw the glass of alcohol across the room as it shattered after hitting the wall as the four maids who were serving him flinched from the violent action as they looked at him with slight fear. But the prince himself didn't care about their reactions as he had a pissed off expression as he glared at the wall. "My reputation has been tarnished and that damned boy is hailed as a hero!" Eric shouted in anger as the maids flinched again from his loud voice. After the end of the war, Eric's reputation in the kingdom had plummeted, no surprise that it has happened of course, as it was him who had decided to start the war with the other country. And their country has lost the war and was humiliated and lost two dragons under their control. And have also been shown to be inferior to their enemy, which has hurt the sentiments of many of the country as well. The other noble families of the kingdom were also of the same mind as they didn't like the fact that they had been defeated,
