"As if! I'm not gonna yield!" Oskar shouted as he went to attack Oscar with his fists.

Lucas only sighed in response as he used the broad side of his blade and smacked Oskar's across the face with it. This sending the heir tumbling to Lucas's left as he lost his balance while Lucas openly scoffed. Olivia meanwhile was grinning at seeing a cheeky nobleman being put in his place.

Oskar coughed a bit and started to get up when he heard the clanking of boots as he turned and looked at Lucas who was walking towards him.

"Just give up you are embarassing yourself." Lucas said in a tired tone.

But Oskar wasn't having none of it. He was brought up as a member of the high class of the current society and was told that he was special and that was how his life had been. But now facing the humiliation of defeat in front of all these people was making him more angry as he lunged at Lucas with a roar.

Lucas sighed and letting go of his sword he moved out of the way and then using his hand tore the armor from his right forearm. This caused Oskar to gasp along with the audience. But he didn't stop there as he took the armor from his shoulder as well. Then he punched Oskar on the nose causing him to be disoriented.

Lucas then decided to end this pathetic charade as he used his leg and made Oskar kneel on the ground. Then he did a swift karate chop at his neck which effectively knocked him out as he fell to the ground. The whole arena was silent as the referee went to the two fighters and checked to see if Oskar was knocked out. He checked and indeed he was knocked out cold.

"Oskar Rehbindr has been defeated. Lord Lucas Larsen is the winner of this duel!" The referee shouted to the audience.

The crowd of commoners erupted in cheers when they heard it and those who supported Lucas were also cheering for his victory. The other nobles were talking amongst themselves about his fighting prowess while Lucas's parents were smiling proudly at their sons victory.

"Hmm, that boy is a real warrior." Arvid said with an impressed look.

"You're right dear. Right now there aren't many noblemen who actually train in martial arts. I mean, most of the high ranking knights in the army are more proficient in it than the nobles." Signe said agreeing with her husband.

"I must agree mother. I never expected him to be so well versed in fighting. The other nobles I have seen fight don't even have half of his skill." Olivia said agreeing with her mother with a serious look.

Her parents looked at her when they heard what she said but didn't comment on it. Olivia was looking at Lucas who had just taken and unsheathed his sword as he looked at Oskar who was being carried by the knights.

'I am really curious about him now. What motivates a man who was born with such privileges to train so hard to reach that level of skill and strength?' Olivia thought to herself curiously.

The audience was cheering for Lucas when a knight entered the chamber where the royal family were. The king noticed him and gave him his permission to enter. The knight bowed and then kneeled in front of the royal family.

"My king, I have an important letter for you." The knight said respectfully at the monarch.

"A letter? From where?" Arvid asked him.

"It's from the Swedish kingdom my lord. It was written by their prince and was addressed to the princess. Here's the letter." The knight said as he presented the letter.

Arvid took the letter and examined it's envelope and made sure that it was truly from the Swedish kingdom and saw that it was truly from the kingdom.

"You may leave." Arvid said to the knight.

"Yes my king." The knight bowed before exiting the chamber.

Arvid saw the man leave before he gave the letter to his daughter.

"Read it when we get back to the palace." Arvid said to him daughter seriously.

"Yes father." Olivia said as she looked at the letter with narrowed eye's as they walked away.

It took sometime for the royal family to reach their castle. After the duel between Lucas and Oskar which had gained much favour for the Larsen clan the people in the arena dispersed and went to their daily lives. But for the royal family it was a different matter. Since they had been sent a letter from the Swedish kingdom from the prince. Right now the three of them were in Olivia's room as she had the letter in her hand. It was decorated very well to show the one who sent it.

"Does anyone else know about it?" Olivia asked her father.

"Since most of the people and nobles in the country had come to watch the duel no one knows about it for the time being. But I'm sure that most of the other nobles will catch wind about this letter soon." Arvid said to her.

"Well dear, why don't you open the letter and see what the prince has to say to you." Signe said to her daughter.

Olivia nodded to her mother and opened the letter and started to read it.

The letter read as follows:

[Greetings Princess Olivia Von Ascheberg of the kingdom of Norway, as you no doubt know I am the prince of the great kingdom of Sweden and have written this letter to talk about a matter which will be of great importance to both of our kingdoms. As you are no doubt aware that the new cave with various ores and minerals have caused our Kingdom's to be at a bitter dispute with each other.

But rest assured I have come up with a solution. It is quite simple, I am writing this letter to ask for your hand in marriage. I am a part of the royal family of the Andersen's and am next in line of the throne and many maidens have tried to gain my recognition. But I have to say that I have never seen a woman quite like yourself and wish to have you as my wife.

I'm sure that a beautiful and noble woman like yourself knows that someone of your status should be with someone like me who is the only one in both kingdoms who could stand as your equal. And do not worry, if you are to be married to me I will make sure that you will have the utmost care from me and I will make sure to take good care of you as a woman like yourself needs a strong man to protect you.

You will not have to worry about anything as I will make sure that you will have a life full of luxury and bliss in my care and promise that you will not be disappointed.

My great kingdom of Sweden will make sure that you will live a life of such bliss and happiness that you life up until now in Norway would seem like a distant illusion. You will have wished to have been born in my great homeland when you experience our kindness.

I know that you will make the smart decision and pave the way for both of our kingdoms to rise to a better future.]

It was safe to say that a letter like that would only enrage a proud princess and so it came as no surprise at the reaction of the princess.

He used the shadows formed by the trees as cover as he ran until he reached a secluded part of forest. The northwestern region of Norway was mainly dominated by forests so there wasn't much jurisdiction from the royal family in the area. But Lucas was quite careful as he didn't want anyone to know about him being here. But he has more leeway now due to the war about to start in the horizon. The cave which is the reason for the tension between the two kingdoms was also a few kilometres south of the place.Lucas kept on running until he stopped when he saw glimpses of a lake from between the trees. Lucas glared at the demigoddess as he stopped her attack as he was pushed a bit backward by the force of the attack. While the demigoddess herself was surprised that he blocked it.'He blocked my attack. And at the speed he reacted to it. He seems to have good training.' The demigoddess thought to herself. She then jumped backwards and stood on the ground before charging at Lucas. She did a wide swing from the left but Lucas managed to block it as well. He then attacked her which she blocked with the broad side of her blade. She grit her teeth when she blocked it.'Hmm, he is strong as well. Guess I shall use my true strength against him.' She thought as she jumped back making distance between the two of them."Rejoice mortal, for I shall use my true strength against you." The girl declared to him."Oh really? Let's see then." Lucas said as he got ready.'So she was holding back after all. Let's see how strong she actually is.' Lucas thought seriously. The demigoddess smiled and then

Lucas and Aslaug reached another house in the city. Lucas didn't want to make his parents aware of the existence of Aslaug and his other identity so he took her to another house he owns. He had changed into civilian attire before he came to the city but made sure that none would recognise him. He reached the house and entered it with Aslaug following him. He has given her a cloak to wear so that people won't see her face. The cloak was also ragged to make it seem like she is poor."Finally I can get rid of this thing." Aslaug said as she threw away the cloak."You don't have to act like that for a cloak." Lucas said to her."Hmph, making someone of my status wear something like that would be more than enough to warrant punishment." Aslaug said with a glare."Maybe, but I don't have time for that. I have to return to my home so that my parents don't get suspicious." Lucas said to her."Whatever. So what am I supposed to do?" Aslaug asked him with a frown."You must stay here in this h

Lucas expected many things when he made his way to the commander's tent, but what he didn't expect was for the princess of the Kingdom to also be present in the tent which caused him to be surprised. He saw that the princess herself is in armor as a sword is hanging from the left side of her hip like his own sword. She is wearing quite an extravagant armor which was mainly silver in colour. She was wearing pants or something similar as she also wore armor which was similar to him.Her armor was primarily silver with red highlights, it covers her breasts, shoulders, knees, forearms and back. She looked like a warrior princess in that armor and it seems that she has decided to forgo her Tiara as her hair fell free on her back. Lucas also noticed that the amount of people in the tent were also great which wasn't that surprising since this is the commander's tent. The tent has much space and there was a table in the middle which has the map of the two kingdoms. The commander which he thi

"So do you understand what you have to do?" Lucas asked as he looked at an armored knight standing in front of him.It was easy to know that the knight is female due to her armor, and another fact that can be easily noted was that she is shorter than him. She was fully covered in her armor so seeing her face and body isn't an option."Yes." The knight said whose voice belonged to Aslaug."Good, I want to keep your existence a secret. Who knows what the other people will do when they learn that a demigoddess is amongst them." Lucas said to her."Is that why you made me wear this armor?" Aslaug asked him in an annoyed tone."Precisely, the people can't see your face under the armor and more so because you're a young woman. And you know how women are treated in the army don't you?" Lucas asked her."Tch! Yes, I am well aware of how women are seen as not fit for battle." Aslaug said with distaste."Look, I know you don't like it but this is the way you have to fight. It was only after a few minutes did the princess return to the room as she smiled at him. "Please follow me, my father and mother wish to speak with you." They soon reached the throne room as the soldiers opened the door and they entered. Lucas stood a few feet away from the king and queen who were sitting on their respective thrones. Olivia went forward and sat on her own throne as Lucas saw that only the royal guards and the court mage were present with them. "You majesties." Lucas said respectfully as he gave them a bow. Lucas sat on the back of Falkor as he made his way to the royal castle, it would've taken more time but he knew the importance of this so he made his wyvern fly quickly. Most of the people had already seen his wyvern and since there weren't any others in sight, they wouldn't attack him. But he didn't want to raise the alarm so he made sure that they were flying near the ground to make the guards know that he is coming. And as he had hoped they didn't attack him, as most of the guards had recognised his wyvern as even if not all of the guards had come to fight in the war, there were still those who recognised him and his ride. They reached the gates and Falkor landed carefully as he scratched his neck as the wyvern growled in response, happy at the scratching he received. "I am Lucas Larsen of the Larsen family and I wish to speak with the princess, it's important. I didn't have the time to send a letter prior." Lucas said to the guards stationed at the front of the gates seriou

Alpha watched the border of the two kingdoms with the rest of his group. For the time being, he hasn't seen any unusual activity from the other kingdom which put his mind at ease for the moment as it meant that the danger that his master has thought of hasn't happened yet. He trusts his master and knows that if he has said that a danger is coming, then it will be coming. But for the master to not know what the danger is means that the problem is something that might be hazardous to them all. He is sure that they are very powerful, but he also doesn't want to be too arrogant about it as he knows that it might lead to his death. It was one of the first things that was taught by their master to them when he was teaching them about fighting. Thinking that th

Lucas sat in Aslaug's home as he was being watched by Aslaug and Kriemhild as they looked at each other, not knowing what to make of the situation in front of them as he had a troubled look on his face. "So, why are you here?" Aslaug asked him as she was curious. "A spell that I had used to warn me about danger activated and I don't know what the danger is." Lucas said to them as he looked at the two women. "Wait, what kind of spell is that?" Kriemhild asked in surprise at hearing that. "That is a spell that I had discovered in the past, but for it to be activated means that it is going to be very dangerous. Not to mention, the chance of me dying is also high." Lucas said causing the two to look at him in surprise. "Truly?" Kriemhild asked in surprise, an emotion which was also mirrored by Aslaug. "Yes, this particular spell I used will warn me about great dangers and when I am going to be in a situation where I could lose my life." Lucas said to them as he reclined on his

Eske frowned as he sat on his throne as the last defeat of their kingdom against their enemy country of Norway. He had thought that they would have been able to beat the kingdom with the dragons that they have with them, and considering the fact that he has his own court mage, he was fairly certain that they would have been able to defeat the army. But the sudden arrival of that boy and his help in the war changed the tides causing them to lose the war and the two dragons. He was obviously displeased with what had happened as he had just lost to their enemies which will be a blow to the pride of his family. But he is also a bit relieved as they have managed to come to an agreement which isn't too exploitive. The fact that the contract was good enough to allow for them to maintain their rule was a good thing, even if they have to give the other kingdom money monthly and also have to give up the rights of the crystal cave as well. There was also the fact that it took a lot of thei

    Chapter 48

Lucas looked at the Alpha who is standing in front of him seriously as the man is looking at him a bit nervously while being looked at by Lucas very seriously. Lucas is the de facto leader of the boys and when he isn't leading them and giving them jobs then it's his duty to make sure that they work correctly. "So you got nothing unusual to report?" Lucas asked him seriously as he sat in his chair. "No sir. We did a check just as you had told us to, but we haven't found anything unusual happening inside the country. Even in the other noble families or around the royal palace." Alpha said to him seriously with a nod. Lucas narrowed his eyes at that as he reclined on the chair he is sitting on as he closed his eyes and thought about it. The runes are really useful and powerful ones which acts like it when a great danger to the user is afoot. Which is the reason why he had decided to use it on himself so that he will be able to know if there is going to be danger to him. So he is

"My Lord, is this truly the right course of action." A soldier asked Eric as the group of soldiers were walking through a cave tunnel. "Yes. This is the way to get back the respect that I had lost because of our enemies." Eric said to him with a glare at the soldiers. The soldier's flinched at his glare as they knew that they couldn't and shouldn't do anything that might anger him. After all, as the prince of their kingdom, he can do anything he wants to them as he so wished. So doing anything to displease him as it might be dangerous to them. They also don't know what it is that their prince wants to find for himself in the cave, but as soldiers it is their duty to follow his orders and so that is what they are doing. "Now that's a good boy." Lucas said as he was petting Falkor. He is currently flying with the wyvern as he wanted to make sure that he had the ability to fly freely without anyone being afraid of it attacking. Even if he is his wyvern, the people will naturally be scared about a creature of its size. But he didn't mind it that much as he enjoyed flying with Falkor, as it was a way for him to be alone from his otherwise noble life. It is good, he will admit and having people around him and treating him with respect is a good thing, but sometimes he just wants to be left alone to enjoy some time alone. He looked at the kingdom from above and it was a bit cloudy so the people probably hadn't noticed them. Not to mention the fact that people don't usually look up so it would work in his favour. He has also been having his boys keep a watch around the kingdom for any kind of suspicious movement. Considering how the prince has acted, he doesn't want to let down his guard in case the

    Chapter 45

Eric threw the glass of alcohol across the room as it shattered after hitting the wall as the four maids who were serving him flinched from the violent action as they looked at him with slight fear. But the prince himself didn't care about their reactions as he had a pissed off expression as he glared at the wall. "My reputation has been tarnished and that damned boy is hailed as a hero!" Eric shouted in anger as the maids flinched again from his loud voice. After the end of the war, Eric's reputation in the kingdom had plummeted, no surprise that it has happened of course, as it was him who had decided to start the war with the other country. And their country has lost the war and was humiliated and lost two dragons under their control. And have also been shown to be inferior to their enemy, which has hurt the sentiments of many of the country as well. The other noble families of the kingdom were also of the same mind as they didn't like the fact that they had been defeated,
