The man before Caster was a priest, but not one of Vinicius, as Caster initially thought. Instead, he served Justus, a different deity altogether. This distinction between the two gods was one of the main reasons the moon elves and sun elves were always at odds with each other.

Their skills were of direct relation to their beliefs. The two elven groups indeed had priest classes but the powers they wield would be based on the god(numeric, goddess)they served.

Aside from the buffs that the moon elf priests were better at, sun elf priests are pure healers in their arsenal.

To put it in proper perspective if you were to rate them as players then moon priests leveled up the strength and defense of the party while the sun priests provided speedy heal to the health bar.

Of course there were always exceptions In rare cases the priest could even learn both these abilities but that was very rare indeed.

"Alright, I think… that should do it," Caster muttered to himself, as he made the final

The elven man was nothing more than the first tier class, not even a mage yet. His class was “Acolyte” which is just a class like the clerics of Vinicius church since they are not all that different. Still he was young, and not very powerful, but the potential was clearly visible. That is why Caster felt that they needed to put their money where their new party was. Despite the fact that the Acolyte wasn’t developed completely, he could come in handy. ELVEN MAN One day I borrowed one of Caster’s old robes But he did not want to give out his better gears yet.“Here, take this,” Caster said, shoving the robe to the man. “It is not much I know but it will go a long way to ensure you feel the heat.”Nodding his appreciation the elven man slipped the robe on.This kind of freebees were not something Caster was too fond of and him giving away his good leather armor? "I'll keep my armor, though. This robe will do for now," he thought. He figured helping them warm up and giving them some food

His three new companions would definitely stand out in any town. Two moon elves and a large half-orc weren’t exactly a common sight. If the slave traders survived, there was no doubt they would begin searching for the escaped slaves.“We’re going to need to keep a low profile," Caster thought, his eyes scanning the group.“Yes, that would be a good place to move. We can get provisions for our journey back home there,” the elven man said, sipping on his tea calmly, as though their current situation didn’t bother him at all. Caster watched him carefully, noting how serene the elf appeared. The tea kettle in the elf's hands was a bit unusual—it wasn’t just an ordinary kettle. Caster knew it was enchanted. "A steel kettle with a lesser magic," he recalled. "Insert mana, and it produces water." He admired the craftsmanship quietly as the elf poured himself another cup.“Care for some tea?” the elven man asked, offering the kettle.Caster shook his head with a faint smile. “No thanks, I’v

“You should probably wake him up…” Caster suggested, glancing at Golgrim. The big half-orc was sprawled out on the rocky ground, snoring loudly and scratching his behind. It was surprising how relaxed he was, sleeping so soundly despite the uncomfortable terrain.Caster knelt beside Nedu, pulling out some spare shoes from his bag. “Here, take these. I can’t have you walking around barefoot like that. And Aredhel, you can wear these sandals,” he added, handing a pair to the moon elf. It sing it out at least you should look decent Oh! That is why when I see you like this the least I can do is pity you sometimes. Three days without any shoes at all would be very tough on anyone and everybody would emerge affected in one way or the other.Caster smiled, “You’re welcome Nedu.” Nedu immediately slid on the shoes as if he was very happy to receive it. “These are much better. I really appreciate it.”“Not a problem!” Caster smiled brightly. But I don’t have anything for Golgrim,” But he is

It was lucky that the Bocanach creatures ignored him for now. This gave Caster ample time to use the wand he had repaired just the day before. “Here goes nothing!” he murmured, pointing it at the nearest creature. The energy bolted with lots of head as the shot from the wand collided with one of the goat heads. The scream that came from the monster was extremely terrifying. That sound ricocheted through the jagged earth and made Caster shudder. As Caster stared at Nedu he realized the right time had come for him to act. He doesn’t strike!Surprisingly Nedu failed to advance towards a defeating strike. He stayed close to Aredhel, looking nervous. “I can’t leave you, my lord!” Nedu said, glancing back at the moon elf, his eyes filled with worry. “What if something happens if I go too far?”“Tch…” Caster clicked his tongue in frustration. “You need to protect the mage!” He fired off another spell towards the other monster. This one dodged slightly to the side, but not without losing a

On the way, the new party visited the crash site, or what remained of it. Caster hoped they might find some useful provisions.“Maybe there are supplies we can use,” he said, scanning the area with a mix of hope and concern. The half-elf looked around and frowned. “It doesn’t look promising. I can’t even smell any food.”To Caster’s dismay, the only things they found were scraps of metal and wood scattered around. Suddenly, more monsters appeared, and they quickly sprang into action.“Look out!” shouted the male moon elf swordsman, drawing his blade. “We can’t let them surround us!”“Get ready!” Caster called, preparing his spells. With quick teamwork, they cleared out the creatures without too much trouble, but Caster felt uneasy. “We should be careful. It is unclear to us how many more individuals may be waiting ahead. When the battle ended Caster gazed towards the looming mountain overhead. The thick fog made it difficult to see the trail they fell from.He asked if the others beli

“Hey… are you being serious now?” Caster asked, his voice dripping with disbelief as he stared at Nedu.Caster’s face twitched as he observed Nedu inspecting Aredhel for what felt like the hundredth time. Golgrim was nearby, receiving treatment from the acolyte, his body marred with even more bite and claw marks than usual. The sight made Caster wince.“What do you mean?” Caster caught Nedu's gaze over as he frowned. Minas shifted out of the way clearly agitated by the surrounding commotion.Do you two aim to endanger us all? Caster shouted while crossing his arms and staring directly at the moon elf and half-orc.Will he catch fire if you ignore him for a second? Caster burst out in anger while his anger reached a climax.Nedu faced Caster sharply and bared his annoyance. In all sincerity I want to thank you for your contributions Mr. Jarul. But I cannot abandon Lord Aredhel! What if some creature sneaks up on him while he’s defenseless? I couldn’t live with myself if anything hap

Caster wasn’t entirely sure, but he had an idea why this was happening. When he removed the slave collar from Aredhel, he took a moment to analyze the elf lord’s stats. One stat, in particular, stood out—Aredhel’s charisma. It was unusually high, even for someone of his stature. His charisma stat was over twenty points, which was quite remarkable.Charisma worked differently from other stats. It didn’t climb as high as strength or agility, for instance. Most people had a charisma rating between ten and fourteen. If it went above that range, it meant the person had some unique charm or magnetism. Aredhel’s charisma was 24, a number that made Caster take notice. Caster could even feel the effect of it himself, although his high willpower allowed him to resist. He had read about how someone with very high charisma could influence others in strange, subtle ways. It wasn’t unlike being under a mind control spell. If a person had a low willpower stat or was particularly susceptible, the

Caster looked sternly at the half-orc, Golgrim, and couldn’t help but feel like he was a teacher in a kindergarten class. He glanced at Aredhel, the moon elf, and felt like the elf was his assistant teacher. Golgrim, despite his massive size and strength, acted like a child sometimes. The moment Caster reprimanded him, Golgrim’s face fell, and he began to sulk like a little kid who had just been told off.He collapsed on the ground and began poking a monster corpse with a stick while overlook everything else in his vicinity. Caster exhaled in annoyance and touched his forehead. He opened his mouth but Aredhel interrupted him before he finished.Approaching the half-orc quietly like a caring adult the elven man began a soft conversation. In a calm tone he addressed Golgrim and told him everything was alright. “It’s okay. Mr. Jarul didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. He just needs you to listen to him from now on, alright?”Golgrim looked up at Aredhel, his large, green hands still h

Caster sat at his workbench, staring at the mess in front of him. Tools were scattered everywhere, papers and sketches covered the surface, and there were notes scribbled in every corner. It all felt overwhelming. His fingers tapped the wood of the table, a soft rhythm that couldn’t drown out the restlessness gnawing at him. There was so much he had to do. So many ideas, so many things he wanted to build. But where to start? His mind was a storm of thoughts, and none of them seemed to stick long enough to make sense. He muttered to himself, almost as if trying to remind himself why he was still here. "If I’m going to stay in this city, I might as well make the most of it," he said quietly, his voice raspy with exhaustion. "Maybe I’ll find something here. Something worth the effort."Caster shifted his gaze toward the window. Down below, the street was alive with people, carts rolling by, voices shouting, children playing. The city pulsed with energy. But it was the construction site

“It is okay Wayland, do you have any further issues you wish to discuss before venturing head into the project?” Caster questioned, calmness lining his tone remarkably despite the nervous tapping of his fingers on the workbench. There was still some haze and the smell of the lightly coloured sawdust and the sharper than apple smell of oiled metal. The foreman mulled it over for a few moments, digging the jagged claws of his sweat-streaked hands through the coarse beard on his coppery face. His eyes moved on the workers who preparing some equipment around them and their voices were just ringing low as communication only. “Well, I do not know that directly without a second thought,” was his response but there was a brief moment of a shadow crossing his eyes to tell a different story. “However, do not hesitate to let me know if you have any ideas in your mind when the proceeding starts.” Caster hesitated, his thoughts swirling. His workshop had always been a sanctuary—a place where

  • Chapter 245

Caster was mature enough to see the world as it was. He understood that most younger folk saw it through a lens of hope and ambition, their dreams of treasure and fame setting them apart from his more grounded approach. Some were from humble beginnings: sons and daughters of farmers; young people from families that were better off but that had fallen on hard times and now were boy or girl determined to claw back some of that perceived lost respect, no matter the price."My jaw twisted into a small smirk as I imagined their wide eyes and wide, baseless plans and all they think is, ‘Get some gold, a shiny sword, you’ll be a hero.’" It was the same story, time and again: things that were often only dreams, rarely aligning with reality.Lowfield had been a deliberate choice despite what she had become. Knowing full well it wouldn’t be clear, he took the fast route but he took the fast route. The road taught him about its steep hills, its rocky passages and on occasion, the unfriendly tra

  • Chapter 244

The early morning breeze bit into the cloak and the underdress at Caster’s shoulders as he walked the narrow cobblestone path into Lowfield. Today he had gotten rid of his imposing helmet and heavy armor. Dawn's fresh smell of its own earth together mingling with the familiar taste of his workshop on his clothes. He wasn’t hiding his identity, or painful silence had been left behind, today. Today was about remembering the life that kept breathing after his magesmith-tools stopped. The caravan had added liveliness to the town which reminded me of festival time, the town was waking up. Some of the faces settling onboard Caster recognised—newcomers amongst the adventurers. With fresh ambitions and none of the resolve yet tested, they walked on their own journey wide eyed and reminded him of the person he used to be. He watched the newcomers with a kind of quiet amusement, catching snippets of eager chatter about dungeons and imagined battles, bravado thick in the air.A young man, prob

Casting his small treaty of provisions, a load of stale bread crusts, some wrinkled fruits, and a hard wedge of cheese that once lived on a more hospitable broke surviving clunk to clunk. He made a gagging noise as he peered at the dried meat again and poked it with distaste. "Wouldn't it kill the fates to give me a real meal?" Just once. Something hot, even." He sneaked a look over at where a stove should be, the ones that made his mouth water when a hearty stew bubbled away. For a moment he smirked, "No stove yet … maybe I could conjure a magical pan up." "Oil might be asking for a miracle."Peering out the window he squinted at the city in the early light. Carts creaked along cobbled paths and vendors hawked fresh fish and newly baked bread in the place I had walked into, even now. He’d done a lot with the house in the week that he’d been there, turning it into something livable, barely. "What the hell?' he murmured, 'Doors actually close now' he concluded feeling a bit more proud

  • Chapter 242

Caster adjusted his grip and took a close look at his work, scrutinizing every line and angle of the newly crafted weapon handle. The wood was tough but carefully sanded, bearing faint, meticulous patterns he had engraved over hours of work. "Alright," he muttered, almost to himself. "Let's see if this holds up."He lowered his gaze to the small, rough-edged mana stone beside him. Its surface shimmered faintly, a testament to the raw energy that pulsed within it. With precision, he made a tiny opening at the base of the handle, using one of his tools to keep the gap just wide enough for the stone to fit snugly. Holding his breath, Caster slid the stone into place, his hand steady even as he felt the twinge of nervousness in his gut. One wrong move, one crack, and the handle would split, and the entire effort would be wasted. He exhaled, the pressure off his shoulders as the stone was secure. He picked up a little hammer and taps the opening closed, sealing the stone.Caster was co

  • Chapter 241

Caster’s gaze shifted between his rough tools and the iron-cast walls around him. The dim, flickering light from a lone torch cast dancing shadows on his workbench, where the worn mace lay, waiting. Each scuff and nick in the wood handle held a tale of its own; it wasn’t just a tool but a companion, a weapon that had been through as much as he had. And here he was, weighing its life and usefulness like a weary healer judging the last pulse of an old patient. He ran his hand over the handle one last time, tracing the grains and grooves with a practiced eye. “Adding a stone’s one thing,” he muttered. “But what it needs is stability.” His fingers slid to a small crack, an old fracture that hadn’t yet spread but threatened to. “If that widens… this thing’s done.”His hands worked without thought, reaching into the assortment of stones, metals, and powders he had scavenged over time. His fingers found a small, rough mana stone, and he rolled it between his fingers, feeling its faint warm

  • Chapter 240

Caster knocked metal hard on metal, the sound reverberating in the almost pitch black workshop. With every hook an aura of magical energy was discharged providing brief glimpses of light on the roughly completed stone walls. It smelled of hot metal and a low, tense buzz, which seemed to say that the room itself had tensed to watch him.Caster, still young but hardened by the trials of his craft, stood poised over his latest project: a shield, its shape still raw but which is already starting to look graceful. Though not tall and still somewhat thin, he seemed to possess good illating strength, every punch he landed being calculated. Each movement was accompanied by complex magical ripples, which Indragni had seen on the surface of the shield before a layer of runes he more or less sketched with great detail. In addition to a frown a look of intense concentration took over his face only to be interrupted the occasional lean back to examine the painting. After several more strikes, he

Caster climbed the winding stone stairs leading upward from the basement of Lamba fortress as the red rays of the morning sun spread across Lowfield. He sighed as he breathed in the crisp morning air and hours spent wading through dim and damp caverns had taken a toll on him. The bustle outside was a stark contrast to the quiet gloom below. Merchants, hawkers, and small-time dealers filled the open area, all eager to cater to the steady stream of adventurers drawn to the dungeon.“Potion for mana, sir?” called a nearby merchant, brandishing a small flask that shimmered faintly in the sunlight. Clearly, the man wasn’t going to miss any opportunity to sell.He gave her the distinct pleasure of a faint smile and a polite shake of his head. “Not today, but thanks.” The merchant glanced up as he passed saying “As he passed his gaze fell on a young boy standing beside the merchant with his hands outstretched each palm held small stones of different colors.”“Lucky charms,” the boy put out
