Wonder woman.

After school hours…

Tiffany strolled slowly, her earpiece plugged in her ear, her hands dipped inside the pocket of the hoodie Zoey had lent her.

Even with the earpiece singing loudly to her ear, Tiffany’s mind was somewhere else.

Well, how would she not think about how she had loosened up to Zoey in just three days she had known her?

It was quick, yet real.

The girl was too sweet, cute, stubborn, and persistent. Of course, she had never encountered someone like her.

Still deep in thought, a power bike halted beside her with a loud screech, which made her roll her eyes and stop walking.

That bàstard riding the bike could have hit her.

She turned to look at the rider who was just removing the helmet he wore and then shook her head.

“Hey, wonder woman,” Tiffany stared at the handsome face of Aiden.

Wait, did she just say handsome?

Oh, shit.

“Hi,” Tiffany answered on second thought.

This dude had helped her earlier.

He gave her his sportswear so she couldn’t bear to be rude to him at the moment.

“Woo! I wasn’t expecting you to answer, where are you heading to? Aiden smiled widely like nothing the world was bothering him.

Okay, maybe she could be rude now.

“Why? You’ve got a problem with me?” Tiffany asked.

“It’s… wait, don’t you fucking tell me you can hear me even though the music you are listening to is so loud that I can hear it,” Aiden widened his eyes.

“I… my ears are sensitive,” Tiffany stammered and removed the earpiece hurriedly from her ear.

“But…”

“Mind your business, I’ll get going,” Tiffany groaned then turned to leave.

“Wait!” Aiden hurriedly grabbed her wrist.

He could have just left, but this girl interests him so much.

Ever since he met her at the cafeteria on the day she joined Western high, he had been interested in her.

She was just his type.

Cold. Feisty. Rude.

And Tiffany has it all. Everything.

She is just the perfect girl.

Now that his life is getting interesting, he wouldn't miss a chance.

His life has been void for the past many years.

His father wasn't in his right mind.

The man he called his father had never called his name even though he was alive.

His mother never had a time.

She was always busy, going from one country to another.

Of course, Mrs. Wesley wouldn't want to leave the position of one of the top businesswomen in New York. Never.

“What the…!” Tiffany snatched her hand away from him.

“Woah, you are so energetic. Hop in, I’ll drop you,” Aiden offered.

“Mind your business, I can get to wherever I want to get to on my own, I do not fuckin’ need your help,” Tiffany gritted her teeth then turned to leave.

“Why are you so stubborn?” Aiden shook his head and Tiffany turned to look at him.

“It is not stubbornness, it is pride,” Tiffany eyed him then resumed walking as she plugged the earpiece back inside her ear.

“Fuck, how can she be fierce and cute at the same time? Man…” Aiden shook his head, started the bike, and then rode it slowly towards her.

“It’s going to rain and I guess you don’t have an umbrella,” Aiden said with concern, riding the bike slowly beside her.

“Mind your business,” Tiffany exhaled.

“Come on, Tiffany,” Aiden called out.

“Listen to him! Do you need to be proud now?” Tiffany halted immediately she heard the venomous voice inside her, the drawing on her shoulder itching her.

“Will you hop in now?” Aiden stopped the bike and Tiffany glared slowly at him.

“No?” Aiden raised a brow.

Why does this girl always look so intimidating?

He understood the fact that she doesn’t smile but this glare she bore at him was very intimidating.

Ugh, what is wrong with her?

“Don’t talk to me,” Tiffany groaned then resume walking.

“Arrrgh! Don’t you understand that it is so stuffy in here?” Tiffany stopped walking again and looked around.

“What do you mean by it is stuffy? What must I do to fuckîng get rid of you?!” Tiffany screamed which attracted the passerby.

“I… didn’t say anything,” Aiden stammered in confusion as he came down from the bike slowly.

“Hehehe, you can’t get rid of me, little one. Instead, I will get rid of you. I will take over your body and rule it as mine. I am Akilang!” the voice growled in an echo that sent total fear down her spine.

She took a step backward, then another, and then turned to run away swiftly but instead, she hit someone then wrapped her hands tightly around him unconsciously.

Aiden gasped slightly as he felt her tiny hands around him, he said nothing and only stood still, waiting for her to come back as he slowly placed his left hand around her waist, his right hand stroking her hair gently, whispering ‘it’s okay.’

Aiden could bet that there was something out of the ordinary wrong with this girl.

Was she possessed?

Thinking about it, there was no way a girl who didn’t want to have anything to do with him turn to hug him so tightly like her life depended on it.

Suddenly, she reminded him of what happened in the mountain years ago.

His heart suddenly raced at what he remembered.

The aura that was in that girl's body back then was strangely around Tiffany.

Hugging her, he remembered how he had hugged that girl.

Thinking back at it, Aiden wondered if the girl lived.

What if she'd dîed that day in the mountain.

Well, it's really time he stops blaming himself for not seeing the girl out of the mountain that day.

He was scared too.

How could that small girl around his age suddenly turn weird?

How could her hair suddenly turn white in front of him?

He was traumatized for a few years after how he saw her brown eyeball turn into blood red.

Even now, he wished he should have buried the memory. Since he couldn't, he wouldn't stop dreaming about how the girl's scary laughter filled the mountain.

Aiden shot his eyes open, breathing heavily, he felt a drop of rainfall on his hand and then another, and then another.

“Tiffany, are you okay?” Aiden whispered in her ear.

After a while, Tiffany pulled away hurriedly and turned away from him swiftly.

‘God, what have I done?’ she asked within her.

“Tiffany, it is about to rain, hop in let me give you a ride,” Aiden grabbed her wrist.

“I… I will manage,” Tiffany shook her head then began to walk away and at that moment, the rain began to pour down.

“Why Is this girl so stubborn,” Aiden hissed, got on the bike, and drove hurriedly towards tiffany.

“Get in!” he shouted.

“I don’t want to,” Tiffany protested still walking.

“Are you planning on catching a cold?!” Aiden shouted and Tiffany stopped walking.

“You won’t stop, will you?” Tiffany twitched her mouth.

“Well…” Aiden chuckled and grabbed another helmet for her to wear.

Tiffany snatched it from him grudgingly, wore the helmet, and got on the bike.

As Aiden sped off, she unconsciously wrapped her hands around his stomach.

Well, maybe she consciously did that.

Earlier when she had hugged him, she somehow felt warm and calm.

Ever since Akilang had revealed itself to her, she always had problems controlling her mind.

Hugging Aiden, she felt this kind of peace she had never felt.

Words can’t explain it.

She felt as if a stone that was on her heart was lifted.

She felt as if whatever Akilang was going to do or say to her, it would never get to her as far as Aiden is by her side, hugging her at every light provocation from the ancient demon.

God, what was she saying?

Hug who? Oh please.

Ah, Tiffany…

“It is interesting how it is turning,” the lion spirit said after she had watched the scenario between Aiden and Tiffany.

“Fate can be so tricky,” the mountain guardian nodded his head.

“I know, right?” she chuckled.

“How can she find him soothing when he was the one causing all of the stir within her?” the mountain guardian wondered.

“Exactly. Aiden and his father is the one capable of freeing the Demon yet Aiden is also capable of controlling it!” the lion guardian laughed at the twist in the fate.

“What should have happened when they hugged each other should have been almost disastrous, but instead, it calmed her and Akilang kept quiet,” the mountain guardian nodded his head.

“The thing is, when Akilang finally gets unleashed, can Aiden still stay beside her? Won’t he run away from her like how everyone was going to run away from her when they see her in Akinlang’s form?” the lion spirit wondered.

“This is going to be very interesting.”

“However it is going to be interesting, I hope the kids don’t get hurt. None of this is their fault, it is their parents’.” The lion's spirit mumbled.

“Did you find out what I asked you to find?” the lion spirit faced the mountain guardian.

“Yes, lion spirit. There is only one way to get rid of Akilang,"  the mountain guardian answered.

"How?"

"Lion spirit, someone will dîe when we get rid of Akilang," the mountain guardian exhaled.

"Why?" with a furrowed brow, the lion spirit asked.

"Someone must dîe for Akilang to leave. It won't be easy though."

“Who?” the lion spirit asked.

The mountain guardian stared at the lion spirit and shook his head slowly.

“It is inevitable,” he whispered.
