Luc stepped into the room, he saw Ruby sitting on the corner of the bed, the woman immediately wiped the clear tears on both of her cheeks when she realized Luc was in this room.

Ruby never liked it when other people saw her crying, Ruby was the type of woman who preferred to cover up the restless feelings in her heart.

"Ruby, I'm sorry, sorry for getting you involved in trouble, Dad and Mom have told me about Grandpa's order sending you to negotiate business with Lekston's subsidiary," Luc said as he stepped closer to Ruby who was now staring at him sharply.

"Your apology is useless for now, do you know Luc, I'm threatened with being demoted and all because of your mistake of borrowing money from Grandpa! Why didn't you talk to me first about your mother's medical expenses, I can still help even though it's not much." After speaking Ruby stood up from her sitting position.

Luc was very touched after listening to Ruby's words. His wife was indeed angry, she still had a good side by intending to lend him money. Because of this kindness Luc endured and even fell in love with Ruby.

“Ruby, I will make sure you get a partnership with Lekston,” Luc said without explaining at length.

“I hope God listens to your words, or I will work as an ordinary employee for the next few days.”

After seeing Ruby come out of this room, Luc immediately took his ugly cellphone from his pants pocket and then called Alan.

‘Alan, tomorrow my wife will submit a business proposal to a subsidiary of Lekston Group, I want you to help her.’ Luc immediately spoke after the call was connected.

‘I will do as Mr. Luciver wishes.” After hearing Alan’s answer, Luc immediately ended the call unilaterally.

“Ruby, if you don’t eat the fish soup, just give it to me,” Zelin said with a sweet smile.

“No, I deliberately didn’t eat it because I wanted to give it to Luc,” Ruby said while looking at Luc who was beside her.

Luc was cleaning the dirty dishes on the table, his heart suddenly felt warm after knowing that Ruby gave him the fish soup, Ruby knew that Luc really liked fish soup because that was why he deliberately didn’t eat it.

“Ruby why are you giving trash like delicious food, let him devour our leftovers,” Zerin said cruelly.

“Watch your words Zerin, he is my husband, stop talking rudely to him.” Ruby did not love Luc, but she felt sorry every time she saw Luc being looked down on, even though Ruby had also scolded Luc, but strangely Ruby did not accept it when someone else insulted the man.

Without Ruby realizing it, that feeling of pity turned into love, just let time make Ruby realize her feelings.

Merta rolled her eyes lazily after listening to her two daughters arguing.

“You finish this fish soup first, then clean all the dirty dishes on the table,” Ruby said with a flat face.

Ruby and Luc did live in the same room, but they never had a relationship like husband and wife and family members knew about it, but Ruby did have a high social spirit and a soft heart, she didn’t like seeing other people being oppressed in front of her eyes.

“Ruby, come on quickly! Don’t care about that trash anymore.” Merta spoke while looking at Luc cynically and sharply.

“Okay, Mom.”

Luc smiled thinly as he stared at Ruby's back that was starting to move away. Luc was about to sit down on the dining table chair, but someone deliberately pulled the chair until Luc fell to the floor roughly. Luc directed his hand to rub his sore buttocks from hitting the marble floor of this house, the next second he started to look up to see Zerin smiling grinningly.

“Trash! You don’t deserve to sit here, eat that soup in the kitchen and sit on the floor like usual, don’t just because my brother is nice to you, then we will all consider you a member of this house.” Zerin spoke with her arms crossed in front of her chest.

“Okay.” That was all Luc said, he didn’t want to prolong this debate any longer.

“Mom, Dad. Ruby will never be able to get cooperation with the Lekston Group company, even in her dreams Ruby doesn’t dare to imagine it,” Ruby said with a frown of frustration.

“The Crowwel family company is like a small ant compared to Lekston’s subsidiary in this country.” Zerin also gave her opinion.

Luc, who had been listening to their conversation, started to walk closer, he stood in front of everyone, his gaze fixed on Ruby.

“Ruby, trust me.” Luc was still trying to convince his wife.

“Luc, I trust you! Now can you leave us,” Ruby said as she looked at Luc with pleading eyes.

“Okay.” Luc left like a little dog chased away by its owner. He knew Ruby didn’t mean it when she said she trusted him.
