By the time the bullet left the tower, Loris had leaped. A giant shield with numbers and a raging fire symbol appeared on the shield, making everyone freeze. Arturo, who was running with the authorities, halted, her eyes wide. “B-Brother Loris!” It seemed as though time had stopped altogether as Loris stood at the building high from the street ground. His hand that had been disabled was raised, supporting the magic shield he created. The enchanted bullet got stuck at the shield, letting out smoke slowly, appearing to explode in a few seconds. Everyone who witnessed the scene was stunned. “I-It’s an enchanted bullet… We’re being attacked!” Somebody said amongst the crowd. “Run, everyone!” Azmien’s wide eyes trembled. He himself felt the powerful magic coming from that attack, and yet, Loris Federico – he managed to stop it before it landed on them. “No! The duel isn’t done yet, we are not leaving!” Banji exclaimed. If he left now, he would surely lose face. He was the strongest i
“Master, Young Master Loris is not in his room,” the servant said in a low voice. Gustav Federico wore a worried expression while glancing around the hall. There was only thirty minutes left before the official election and his son, Loris, still hadn’t appearened. It made him anxious as he started to think something might have happened to Loris. “Get the guards and head to town. Find him immediately,” he instructed the servant. Where was Loris and why wasn’t he here yet? Did he perhaps encounter something troublesome? Did someone look down on him again? “What’s the matter, Senior Gustav? You look troubled and the election hasn’t even started yet,” someone commented from behind. Loris’s father turned around, only to find his first cousin on the father’s side, Lector Federico. Everyone in the family knew how much people who surrounded him wanted to become the next head patriarch of the clan. It wasn’t a surprise that people, whether near or far from the main base of their clan, wo
If Loris would be asked what kind of player he was, he would answer straight away: ‘The kind who plays the game multiple times to understand the world.’ It wasn’t as though transmigrating was a bad thing. Although it was unexpected, Loris treated it as a blessing. He had died and had been given the chance to live again and that was all that mattered. What was troubling was the fact that all he did in this world was humiliate his family name. Now it wasn’t just his name that he had affected, even his father suffered because of him! “Your father is no longer the clan patriarch,” Arturo’s words echoed in his brain and he almost had a heart attack. Inside his head, there were numbers and letters playing like codes in a computer. [Player AgentLore lost 830 points.] [Player AgentLore lost 973 points.] [Player AgentLore lost 726 points..] Loris clenched his hands. He couldn’t afford to lose more points. He would be left with nothing if this continued to keep up! In a hurry, Loris
If Loris looked like a young man who didn’t know how to communicate with people, Azmien looked like the type of person who communicated but couldn’t. It wasn’t because he was too shy or clumsy, or that he looked like a little bird about to pop its head out due to intense heat and pressure, but it was because he simply didn’t eat and clothe well. Nevertheless, it was already too hard to look for him after that explosion. It was a little too late for Commander Gaspar to instruct his soldiers to keep everyone close to Loris by ten meters to stay. When they realized the possibility of Loris actually engaging in a fight in the streets instead, the kids were already nowhere to be found. However, Major Esme wasn’t the type to give up too early. She assembled her troops and gave them the task to find everyone – especially Banji’s gang – who stood near the incident area. That was how she managed to find Azmien, the kid who was up to fight against Loris himself. One glance at him and Esme d
Azmien was startled. Before he could respond, the door opened and Major Esme entered with a serious expression. One could already assume the meeting didn’t go smoothly with just one glance at her, more so when she instructed Loris and Azmien, “Leave the premises.” Azmien was about to ask something but he was immediately cut off. “Thesis and Jones will escort you to your houses,” Esme exclaimed while gesturing to the lieutenants behind her. Once they stepped out, Loris noticed they weren’t in the military base but a house. A huge house that was decorated by machinery and a garden full of flowers across. He put two and two together and concluded it was none other than Major Esme’s house. He confirmed his instinct with Eye. “This indeed appears to be her house. Why she wants you to leave is probably related to her visitors.” “Visitors?” “Yes. Her visitors seem to be high-ranking officials. They are also D and C-level gunners like her,” Eye said. “It’s only right to leave before th
In reality, Loris didn’t want to engage in any type of conflict against his relatives. The Federico Clan might be a minor aristocrat leaving in the suburbs of Famu Town but this clan was far from being less in terms of political power and wealth in general.Even when others thought of the clan as somewhat recluse and avoided too much exposure to the metropolitan people, the Federico Clan still uphold their name, providing the first region’s best wood products that came naturally from their hundreds of acres of land that occupied a large part of the entire Famu Town. They were only considered minor due to having only five major big households inside the clan, compared to the usual ten or more households comprising each patriarchal unit. The Federico Clan had vast and rich properties that sparked interests among the members of the clan since the beginning of times, which was why it was quite understandable that men in the family would try to beat each other down to take the highest posi
The way to Mount Tenu wasn’t as smooth as anyone dared to expect. Located in a border between Famu Town and its Northern neighbor, Silla Town, the mountain range was covered by snow all year round that made hikers unable to fully develop its road. There were four routes players could take to climb the said mountain but Loris chose the easiest which was route 3-B. Route 3-B was a small village and was one of the trading centers for goods like dairy, wood, and river crystals. It might be the busiest among all four possible routes to Mount Tenu but if one wanted to climb the said mountain in less than a day, this was the perfect route.“Quest?” the old guard who only wore simple clothes and a farming rake grumpily read the paper gave him. He stared at Loris with his eyebrow rising. “Why would you need those rock tenders for? Are you going to use them for rock fighting?”Loris stood still, “…”On the paper, there was a simple quest instruction: [Quest: Get 10 rock tenders in Mount Tenu in
One of the many features in RPGs Loris enjoyed were its landscapes and architecture. Just like how intricate and detailed the architecture of the metropolis, the rural area was rich in its natural life and beauty. When he first saw the cover of the game World of Nimgofu, he thought the game would be all about steam engines and superpowers strictly. When he visited Famu City through a train, however, he realized the game wasn’t only reserved for steampunk fanatics but it also catered to medieval fantasy a lot. Things like tavern, farms, potions, forest guardians, and other shapeshifting non-human creatures were just a few things that were included to the list of what made the World of Nimgofu a fantasy. But no matter how much pleasure someone took from enjoying such new and strange things, there would still be challenges he must face.Loris had never climbed as tall as Mount Tenu before. It went without saying that he was already losing breath when he reached half of the mountain.“Yo
