Chapter 113: "Outlived Each Other"

Ignoring the intriguing yet seemingly unnecessary reward, Drake returned the odd door to the depths of his system storage.

"Who would even want to get there?" he blurted out. "I would never leave Eleanor."

His focus shifted to taking care of his sister, whom he had been sticking close to after everything that had happened.

"Where's Eleanor?" he asked, not finding her where he left.

"I don't know. She's probably at the pool, again?" Lucille replied while eating alone in their suite.

"Lucille, didn't I tell you that you shouldn't leave Eleanor alone," he sighed, frustrated that Lucille wasn't taking Eleanor's feelings seriously, but he held back his frustration, knowing he was the only one aware of Eleanor's suicidal tendencies.

"Give Eleanor time to be on her own; she has to deal with her own emotions and thoughts."

"The last time I left her alone, she died," he replied without thinking.

"What?" Lucille asked, puzzled.

"Nothing. Continue your meal," he sighed.
