The silence in the courtroom was defeating with hearts racing fast as they await the judge's verdict.

"Mr. Theodore Williams," the Judge called out, his voice edged with simmering anger, "make your way to the witness box."

Uncle Theodore, pale and shaking, was suffocating under the weight of the Judge's words and the piercing stares of the courtroom. Slowly, he made his way to the witness box, each step feeling like a mile as he navigated the distance between shame and accountability.
