Jeremy stepped out of the crisp morning air and into the FBI's Thompson office. The receptionist, a stern-looking woman with a tight bun, greeted him with a nod. "Mr. Jeremy, Agent Thompson is expecting you."

As Jeremy entered the agent's office, Thompson stood up from behind his desk, a hint of a smile on his face. "Mr. Jeremy, it's an honor to meet you. I've heard a lot about your... accomplishments in your country."

Jeremy's expression remained neutral, but he acknowledged the agent's words with a slight nod. "Agent Thompson, thank you for seeing me. I'd appreciate it if we could get straight to the point about my uncle's case."

Thompson's smile faded, replaced by a serious expression. "Of course, Mr. Jeremy. Please, have a seat."

Jeremy sat down, his eyes locked on the agent.

Thompson leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. "Our investigation has uncovered some... disturbing information about your uncle's past, Mr. Jeremy."

Jeremy clenched his fists, seething with anger at the thought of breaking his promise to his late mother. He had sworn to himself never to have any dealings with Blue-silver entertainment, even when they had begged him. But now, he was forced to compromise his principles to save his daughter, perhaps it was better than going to Lord Raymond for help."You know where to find me," The masculine voice said politely, and without any acknowledgment, Jeremy ended the call."This is for you, Mia," Jeremy whispered, as if he could somehow communicate with the child as he stopped a taxi and headed for His father's company. It had been years since Jeremy had last set foot on the grounds of Blue Silver Entertainment, his father's company. The last time he had tried to enter, he had been turned away by security at the behest of his stepmother, who had refused to allow him inside. His mother had been sick, and Jeremy had been desperate to see his father, to ask for help paying her hospital bills.

The Hall was deathly silent as everyone processed what they had just heard. Then, the silence was broken by a voice of disbelief and mockery."I don't believe it," the celebrity said. "There's no way he could have actually called the manager.""It must have been a fake call," someone else chimed in. "There's no way he could have gotten through to him."But then, a third voice spoke up. "But what if he did?" they said. "What if he really did talk to the manager?"The room erupted into a heated debate, with everyone arguing their point of view while Jeremy stood there without saying a word to them. The silence from Jeremy only made the female celebrity more angry. She felt that he was mocking them, and she couldn't stand it. She turned to the security guard and said, "Get this man out of here! He's only here to make trouble, and we don't need that."Without a second thought, the security guard began to walk towards Jeremy, determined to remove him from the premises. But before he coul

  • Trillionaire Heir- Jeremy Nathaniel    Chapter 4 - Who paid the bills?

Avery's heart pounded in her chest as she heard a knock at the door of the hospital waiting room. She had been waiting for hours for any news from Jeremy, and her anxiety was overwhelming. She hoped that the knock would be Jeremy, coming back with the money needed for their daughter's treatment. But to her surprise, when she opened the door, she saw her grandparents and Noah standing there, looking concerned."Good morning, Grandpa," she said, her voice trembling."What in the world has happened to you, dear?" her grandmother asked, her gaze scrutinizing the signs of stress etched on Avery's face. "You look like you've seen a ghost.""I'm fine, Grandma," Avery tried to reassure her, but her words lacked conviction. She felt like she was about to burst into tears at any moment, and she was afraid that if she started talking, she wouldn't be able to stop."No, you're not fine," her grandfather said, his voice stern. "Ever since you married that man, you've changed. You're not the same g

"Oh, that was so thoughtful of you, dear," said Avery's grandma. "You've proved your worth once again." She assumed that his family's influence had made it possible for him to take care of everything with just a few calls because as they drove to the hospital, she noticed that Noah was making phone calls and sending text messages. "Oh, it's nothing," Noah stammered, trying to play it cool. The truth was, he had no idea who had paid the hospital bills. But he couldn't help but feel a surge of pride at being seen as the one who had taken care of everything. Perhaps the doctor had swung into action as soon as he saw them, knowing the importance of Noah's family. It was a thought that made him feel powerful and important."Thank you, Noah," said Avery, her voice calm and collected as she tried to hold back her tears. Even though she resented the fact that she had to depend on him for help, she knew she had no other choice. "Mia is your daughter, and she's critically ill," Noah said, hi

As Jeremy listened to the endless ringing of Avery's voicemail, he felt a sense of growing concern. It was unlike her to leave their daughter alone like this. She would never do that, not without calling to let him know first. He wondered if Avery had gone to her grandparents to ask for money to pay the hospital bills, since he had taken so long to arrive. Even though the thought of calling her grandmother made him shudder, he knew it was the only option he had left.He dialed the number. As the phone rang, He wasn't sure what to expect. Would she answer? He wasn't sure, but he had to try. After what felt like an eternity, the call was finally answered. "Hello?" The voice on the other end of the line was crisp and clear, but the tone was unmistakably cold. It was Avery's grandmother."Hi, Mrs. Raymond," he said, his voice quavering slightly. "It's me, Jeremy.""What do you want?" she asked, her voice harsh and unfriendly. There was no warmth there as usual. He took a deep breath, t

The more Noah feigned surprise at Jeremy's accusations, the angrier Jeremy became. It was clear to him that Noah was lying just to get Avery's attention and the thought was infuriating."I can't believe you would stoop so low as to act this way out of jealousy," Avery said, facing Jeremy. "If Noah shows his call history and it proves that he did pay the doctor, what then?""I'll admit that I was wrong," Jeremy said grudgingly. "Until he provides proof that he's telling the truth, I'm going to assume that he's lying," Jeremy said, his voice firm. "I'm not going to let him take credit for something he didn't do, just because he's jealous of me."Avery sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I understand your frustration," she said, "but I think you're jumping to conclusions. I think you should give Noah the benefit of the doubt until he's had a chance to prove himself.""If he can provide proof that he's telling the truth, I'll happily eat my words," Jeremy said, and Avery could tell

Jeremy watched in disbelief as Lord Williams and his wife announced that they had approved of Avery's marriage to Noah - on the condition that he could secure a contract for their struggling company. The thought of his wife being used as a bargaining chip was even worse."Grandpa, you can't be serious," Avery said, her voice shaking. "You're going to force me to marry Noah?" She shot a pleading look at Jeremy, who felt like his heart was breaking. He had always known that Avery's family looked down on him, but to hear them say it out loud was more painful than he could have imagined. And the thought of his wife being traded like a commodity was too much to bear."This is your last chance to save our company," Lord Williams said, his voice cold and calculating. "If you can't do it, then we'll have no choice but to let it go under. And you know what that will mean for our family."Avery's face was pale, and Jeremy could see the terror in her eyes. Jeremy pondered for a few moments before responding. "Calling on Jefferson for assistance may not be the best course of action. He has a lot on his plate, and involving him in this unsettling matter doesn't seem wise." His gaze remained fixed on the anonymous letter.Avery, offered a solution. "I believe we should involve the FBI instead of Jefferson. They have specialized departments that could help us track down the sender of this anonymous letter." Typing in his uncle's name, "Smith Wilsonville," he searched, desperately hoping for a useful detail or image to pop up on the screen. Alas, his efforts proved fruitless.
