Chapter 26 A regret

He never expected that the words he took normally would turn into a bitter reality some day.

“Have some more food. How can you eat so little?" A woman in her mid-40s expressed astonishment at Nathan's small appetite.

“Mom, I am not a kid anymore. You are treating me like I am just a 5-year-old,” Nathan complained.

He is a grown adult now, and he is ready to take up his father’s company in a few more years.

“You can even be 60 but for me, you are always a 5-year-old,” his mother said, running her hands in his hair.

“Ah, mom, please. You are making me feel like I am not a grown adult anymore. Please, mom, even though I love this side of yours, I can’t forget I am not a kid anymore,” Nathan said in his puppy voice.

"You don't need to remember that you are a grown adult in front of us. You can behave just like a 5-year-old too,” his mother said with a smile on her face.
