The day was gradually becoming dark and it was time for Scott to return back home for work. Scott went into the changing room to put on his clothes and walked out and placed the uniform in his locker.

After putting the uniform inside the locker,Scott closed it and walked out with Tory. Scott promised to treat her to dinner to celeberate his upcoming wedding.

But it's not like Scott actually wanted to take her there,it was all Tory's idea. But Scott had no objection. He had the money to feed the entire country for centuries.

"Where do you plan on taking me?" Tory's voice reverberated through the dark and quiet company. The time was already very late and everyone already left after work.

"I don't know, you say." Scott replied while making his way out.

"Deveraux Restaurant." Tory implored sacarstically. Deveraux restaurant is the biggest restaurant in all of Spain.

It is a place where the big shots go on a date and spend lavishly. The food over there was really cost and no ordinary person could just walk in without having atleast $1,000 on him.

"Sure, why not." Scott replied, unbothered as he kept on walking.

Tory's eyes almost popped out of her sockets after hearing Scott's response. She was only messing with him by asking him to take her to Deveraux Restaurant, but Scott said yes.

"Did you hear the name of the resraurant i called?" Tory inquired with a surprised expression.

"Uh..yeah,i did. Is there a problem?" Scott replied with a raised eyebrow.

"Ah,no. I am just surprised that you woukd treat me to dinner in such expensive place. We could always go to the local restaurant where food are cheap. I don't want you spending all your life savings on a single dinner." Tory stated with a look of concern.

She knew how hard Scott worked in the company just to get paid in the end of the month. She couldn't imagine herself speding the whole fortune Scott worked hard for.

"You don't have to worry. I just want to celeberate with my bestfriend before i finally get married." Scott responded, placing his arm around Tory's shoulder as they made their way outside.

"Don't say i didn't warn you, though. If i am going to step foot into Deveraux Restaurant,i will make sure i taste all they have there and eat to my full." Tory replied with a smirk, causing Scott to laugh out loud.

"Haha,we'll see about that." Scott stated.

The duo finally exited the company and began to make their way to the Deveraux Restaurant.

Moments after Scott and Tory left the building,A figure emerged from the darkness and made his way to Scott's locker.

The strange man managed to unlock the locker and open it,placing a small bag inside and locking it back.

After locking it,the man quietly made his way outside to avoid getting seen by anyone. Before carrying on with his act,he made sure to turn off every CCTV cameras that were available in that location.

The duo arrived at the restaurant. A tall building with lots of modern designs and the name written boldly, "DEVARAUX RESTAURANT".

Tory glanced at the building with her mouth wide open, still in disbelief that she was actually going to enter it.

"Come on." Said Scott as they both walked inside.

The opulent restaurant exudes an air of refined elegance, with its lavish decor and tasteful accents. Crystal chandeliers cast a warm, golden glow over tables adorned with fine linen and gleaming silverware. Plush, high-backed chairs cradle patrons in comfort as they engage in animated conversations. The atmosphere is permeated with the melodic strains of a live pianist, providing a backdrop of sophisticated serenity. Impeccably dressed servers move with graceful precision, attending to the diners' every need. The menu boasts an array of exquisite dishes, each a culinary masterpiece, and the wine list showcases a curated selection of rare vintages. The air is filled with the delightful aromas of carefully crafted cuisine, mingling with the soft hum of contented chatter, creating an ambiance of unparalleled luxury and indulgence.

Tory and Scott could see the rich men glaring at them with looks of disgust.

"Hey,how may i help you?" A waiter beckoned on the duo polietly.

"We would like to book a table for dinner." Scott replied.

The waiter glanced at the duo from head to toe before replying. "Sure, this way."

The waiter directed the duo to an empty seat and made them feel comfortable.

"So,what can i get you guys?" The waiter asked, holding a paper and pen, ready to jot down.

"Just get her what she wants." Scott stated.

"Anything?" Tory asked. Her eyes filled with greed and anticipation.

"Yeah, anything. I just got accepted by my fiance's family,i need to celeberate. So don't worry." Scott replied.

After receiving the response,Tory shifted her gaze to the waiter and began to make order upon order upon order. Anytime she made a single order, she would glance at Scott's face, but he seemed to not be bothered by her demand.

At first,Tory found it strange that Scott was ready to spend lavishly tonight by taking her to the Deveraux Restaurant even if he worked so hard to get the money. But after thinking about it for a while,Tory finally understood what was going on.

Scott was dating the daughter of the richest man in Spain. Definitely she would often give him some tips here and there just to keep him smiling.

Moments after making the order, the table was now filled up with different kinds of food. Chicken, rice, wine, sauce, and so on.

From the sight of the food,Tory began to drool as she rubbed her palms together.

Tory wasted no time and began to dig in and feast hungrily. Se couldn't remember the last time she's had something like this. What she ate everyday was her usual junk food.

Few minutes later, the table was already empty. Tory and Scott both leaned their backs on the chair with their mouth stained with sauce and their belly the size of a pregnant woman.

The waiter walked towards them aftee noticing they were done.

"It's time to settle the bills." The Waiter demanded.

"How much?" Scott inquired, taking out his phone to make the transfer.

"$9,500" The waiter replied.

The room fell into a tense silence after Mohammed finished speaking. Scott remained seated, his dark eyes locked onto his adversary with a cold, unreadable expression. His arms were folded tightly across his chest, and he leaned back slightly in his chair, unmoved. After a long, loaded pause, Mohammed finally broke the silence.“You should always be prepared, Scott. I must admit, I’m not impressed with your security. The way I walked in here—it was easy… too easy.”Scott’s eyes narrowed. “And what makes you think leaving will be just as easy as coming in?” he replied icily. “You walked into the den of your enemy for what? To introduce yourself and issue a threat? You came without an army, just a pistol. What made you believe I’d let you walk out of here alive?”Mohammed smirked. Without a word, he reached for the pistol tucked into his belt and slowly drew it. He raised it, aiming directly at Scott’s head, his finger resting firmly on the trigger.“Because if you try anything foolish,

A few moments after Miranda exited the hall, the wooden door flung open again, and in came a man. The man was tall, clad in a long white native attire. His face was covered with bushy black beards, and a small white traditional cap sat on top of his head. Scott raised his head slowly, and when he spotted the man, he swiftly rose to his feet and reached for the revolver at his belt… but unfortunately, there was nothing there. “Easy now, boy. You don’t want blood all over your beautiful meeting hall, do you?” the man said softly, a smirk evident on his face. He advanced forward slowly, his hands still tucked casually in his pockets. “Who are you?” Scott demanded. “You know, in a vendetta, you should always keep your weapon by your side. But look at you—completely unarmed. I could easily kill you right now,” the man spoke audibly, the smirk still lingering on his face. “I don’t need a weapon to kill a guy like you,” Scott bellowed. “And you don’t have to answer my question… I alrea

You managed to cooperate and work diligently while I was away. I appreciate that.”They all nodded collectively.“But boss, don’t you think Kael should be part of this meeting?” a man among the group questioned. The man was known as Gabriel Veratti.“And why should he be part of the meeting?”

Was anyone killed?""No, boss. This is the first time," Kael affirmed, and Scott went mute once again. They know. They waited until he was back before they began the killings. They knew he was back."Give these men a proper burial and make sure their families lack nothing," Scott ordered after a few moments of silence, and Kael bowed slightly. The Next Morning...The rays of the morning sun flickered into the luxurious room, cutting through the delicate curtains and shining brightly into Scott’s eyes, stirring him from his slumber. He swung his legs off the bed and stretched his body with a deep yawn before moving toward the large window at the far end of the room.As he pulled the curtain aside, the golden sunlight flooded in, casting a warm glow across the marble floor. His eyes scanned the estate grounds. From his vantage point, he could already see his workers hard at work. The guards were patrolling the compound with practiced precision, eyes constantly scanning for any disturbance. Meanwhile, the maids were bustling about, cleaning every corner of the massive property with quiet efficiency.Scott stood there for a few moments, taking it all in—the return to normalcy, the subtle hum of activity that came with power. Meanwhile… Elsewhere on Scott’s estate…In a quiet, deserted section of the property, four guards sat in a loose circle on wooden chairs, their flashlights clutched in their left hands while their rifles hung over their shoulders. The air was cool and thick with silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the chirping of distant insects. They were stationed near the outer boundary of the estate—a less-traveled area that bordered dense woods. "I can't believe boss is back, man." One of the guards said, raising his plastic and sipping the gin he held in his right hand."I can't believe that after all these months he finally returned. Many said he was dead, some said he abandoned the empire because of all the responsibilities. But he's finally back." Another guard spoke up, and a joyful expression evident on his face."I'm really glad he's back. Even though I haven't met him or see him, I know he's a good and generous man. Scott walked up the staircase, ascending toward his room with slow, deliberate steps. When he reached the door, he paused for a moment before pushing it open. Scott stood silently at the threshold, his eyes sweeping across the space as a distant, unreadable expression settled on his face. The room was exactly as he had left it months ago. Not a single thing seemed out of place. There were no cobwebs in the corners, no dust blanketing the surfaces—clear evidence that the maids had continued tending to it regularly. They must have believed he would one day return, and they had kept it in perfect shape, almost as if time had stopped here."At least he didn't touch my room," Scott murmured to himself, stepping inside and gently closing the door behind him.He moved toward the bed and sat down heavily, leaning his elbows on his knees, his back hunched and his mind consumed with thought. Scott finally questioned, his voice edged with disbelief."No, he didn’t," Kael replied audibly. "Whenever I told him the company was running low on cash, he would say we should manage because you hadn’t been answering your calls. The company was slowly going bankrupt because there was no money to sustain it. That’s why I took those loans.""Sandro?" Scott echoed bitterly. "How could he do this to me? I trusted him.""I don’t think now is the time for you to worry about that, boss. You literally just got back home after months. You should’ve told me you were coming—I would have—""What
