Scott stood there in silence in the small room after hearing the words of Diana. He understood her pain and also understood where she was coming from.

Scott was in a hurry to get the package back to Mr. Fernando that's why he said he couldn't stay there and rest for hours. Even though Diana told him he could die before he even get to a bus stop he was still ready to leave. After a few moments of pondering, Scott finally decided to stay.
