Scott could be seen walking through the dimly lit street, and beside him was Felix. While walking forward, Scott slid his hand inside his pocket and brought out two black masks. The masks were similar to what Scott wore when he went to kill Anabel, the only difference was that the ones he held now were slightly bigger.

"Here you go." Scott said as he handed over one of the masks to Felix.

"What are these for?" Felix inquired as he retrieved the mask and glanced at it.

"Put it on just in case." Scott responded as he carried on walking.

"Incase of what?" Felix asked. "You said there won't be anyone there, right?" He added.

"Just put it on in case things don't go exactly as planned." Scott remarked as he wore the mask. The mask covered the lower half of his face, and all that's visible was the top half which was part of his nose and eyes.

Felix also wore the mask just like Scott ordered, and they kept waking. They walked forward for several minutes until they finally arrived in the area

Scott pushed the door open and he stepped inside with Felix behind him. Stepping into the room, he glanced around but couldn't see anything due to the whole place being pitch black. Scott then turned on his flashlight and shifted it around the room. Two huge shelves could be seen at the center of the dimly lit room, and the shelves were filled with bottles of expensive wines. While glancing around, Scott heard faint sounds from behind the shelf."Did you hear that?" He shifted his gaze towards Felix who stood beside him and whispered."There's something behind the shelf." Felix whispered back with his gaze fixed intently on the two wooden shelves.Scott glanced at it for a few moments before slowly making his way towards it with his guard high incase of anything. As he approached the shelf, the sound he heard early got louder, and the louder it got the more he recognized what it was.Scott finally arrived behind the shelf, and he saw three children curled up on the floor like balls, a

Scott approached Felix and the children and he carried the two youngest ones and placed them on his shoulder just like he did before the gangsters arrived."You still haven't told me how you can fight like that. I mean, you literally just defeated two armed men without breaking a sweat." Felix commented with a surprised look on his face."This is not the right time for questions, Felix. But since you want to know so badly I'll tell you. I was a military man..I also attended martial arts classes and other classes that are related to fighting. Training like Boxing training, wrestling training, taekwondo, and so many more." Scott informed while walking out of the warehouse with Felix beside him."Damn, bro." Felix exclaimed after hearing the words of Scott. "You learnt all that for what reason?" He asked."I'd rather not say. Now please stop with the question and let's head back to the car and get the hell out of there. Those men already sounded the alarm, and a few moments from now this

Scott drove through the dimly lit street with his heart racing and a tensed look evident on his face. The speed at which he drove looked like he was flying, and if it was daytime he would definitely have cops chasing him by now.VROOOOM!!He took a sharp turn to a broad street and carried on driving. His reason behind driving so fast was so he could arrive back in the mansion before Mr. Fernando to avoid suspicions. He already checked the time and realized the fashion show has ended, meaning Mr. Fernando would be on his way back home. There's a chance that Mr. Fernando's boys already informed him about what happened at the warehouse and he would be on his way there by now instead of going home..but Scott wasn't ready to take that chance."Come on." Scott mused as he glanced at his wristwatch and carried on driving forward, hitting the accelerator every now and then to increase the speed. After what seemed like forever, Scott finally drove into the compound and pulled over in front of

Scott's eyes widened slightly upon hearing Wombat’s words."What do you mean Nadine did it?" he questioned, disbelief evident in his voice."Earlier today, I banished her from my gang, Scott," Wombat informed, her tone firm."Why?!" Scott blurted out, the shock clear in his voice. He knew Nadine had been one of the most trusted members of the Widower gang, so this news was nothing short of astonishing to him."She disobeyed me," Wombat replied, her voice hardening. "And on top of that, she dared to question my authority. That’s unacceptable.""I see," Scott muttered, nodding slowly as he processed the information. "So what does she have to do with any of this?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.Wombat sighed. "Nadine told me earlier that helping you would land us in serious trouble. She urged me to stop helping you and insisted you remove the weapons from my territory to avoid bringing that trouble here. I refused because I had already agreed to help you, and that led to an argument. In

The man hesitated, but Bolasco yanked his hair harder. "Answer the damn question! Were their weapons marked with the Widower’s symbol?""They... they didn’t have any weapons," the man stammered, his shame evident."So, you’re telling me two unarmed kids managed to overpower you idiots?" Mr. Fernando snapped, his voice dripping with disdain."You don't understand, sir. The guy...he was very skilled. A martial arts expert. He took both of us down with a single strike. We stood no chance against him, boss." The man explained, his voice filled with fear."You lost to a man with no weapon and you have the guts to bring up excuses? I didn't know I had incompetent fools working for me!" Mr. Fernando retorted."Please, sir, it'll never happen again. Just give us a second chance! Please!" "But how exactly are we going to find this guy?" Mr. Fernando raised the question, his voice tinged with concern."Do you remember what he looked like? The hotel has security cameras. "Let me call the hotel owner and request a copy of the security footage from tonight." He added, dialing the number. The phone rang for several moments before it was answered. Mr. Fernando greeted the person on the other end and made his request. The man quickly agreed, not wanting to argue. Scott exited his room and headed downstairs. He had woken up earlier than usual, so the mansion was still quiet, with no one else awake. The living room was empty, bathed in the soft morning light. He went straight to the kitchen, poured himself a cup of coffee, and took a long, slow sip. The warmth of the coffee grounded him, and after finishing the cup, he left the mansion and made his way to the bus station. The streets were calm as Scott walked, the early morning air cool against his face. It didn’t take long for him to reach the bus station. He boarded a bus heading toward the Sunshade area, settling into one of the seats by the window. After the call ended, Felix, who had been eavesdropping, stepped closer, his face pale. "You’re not seriously going to his territory, are you?" he asked, his voice trembling with fear."I have to, Felix," Scott replied calmly."Why?! That man’s dangerous, Scott! He’s a gang god, for crying out loud! You can’t trust him!" Felix’s voice cracked with desperation.Scott didn’t respond, his eyes focused on his phone as the address came through. It was time to make the drop."How do I get them to this address? How do I get them to this address?" Scott muttered while pacing back and forth. He couldn't just carry three kids in his hands and walk through the streets with everyone there. That would definitely attract attention and look suspicious."You don't know anyone with a truck, do you?" Scott then shifted his gaze towards Felix and asked."I do know someone. Meanwhile… Elsewhere on Scott’s estate…In a quiet, deserted section of the property, four guards sat in a loose circle on wooden chairs, their flashlights clutched in their left hands while their rifles hung over their shoulders. The air was cool and thick with silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the chirping of distant insects. They were stationed near the outer boundary of the estate—a less-traveled area that bordered dense woods. "I can't believe boss is back, man." One of the guards said, raising his plastic and sipping the gin he held in his right hand."I can't believe that after all these months he finally returned. Many said he was dead, some said he abandoned the empire because of all the responsibilities. But he's finally back." Another guard spoke up, and a joyful expression evident on his face."I'm really glad he's back. Even though I haven't met him or see him, I know he's a good and generous man. He increases our salary every month back then. No

Scott walked up the staircase, ascending toward his room with slow, deliberate steps. When he reached the door, he paused for a moment before pushing it open. Scott stood silently at the threshold, his eyes sweeping across the space as a distant, unreadable expression settled on his face. The room was exactly as he had left it months ago. Not a single thing seemed out of place. There were no cobwebs in the corners, no dust blanketing the surfaces—clear evidence that the maids had continued tending to it regularly. They must have believed he would one day return, and they had kept it in perfect shape, almost as if time had stopped here."At least he didn't touch my room," Scott murmured to himself, stepping inside and gently closing the door behind him.He moved toward the bed and sat down heavily, leaning his elbows on his knees, his back hunched and his mind consumed with thought. His face remained expressionless, but his eyes told a different story—one of confusion, disappointment,

  • Welcome back, boss!

Scott ran his fingers through his sleek black hair and paced back and forth on the raised platform. The things he was hearing now were vastly different from how things had been just months ago. It felt like everything had changed completely—as if he had been gone for years—yet it hadn't even been a full year since his departure."You mean Sandro never used the money I sent him to support the companies?" Scott finally questioned, his voice edged with disbelief."No, he didn’t," Kael replied audibly. "Whenever I told him the company was running low on cash, he would say we should manage because you hadn’t been answering your calls. The company was slowly going bankrupt because there was no money to sustain it. That’s why I took those loans.""Sandro?" Scott echoed bitterly. "How could he do this to me? I trusted him.""I don’t think now is the time for you to worry about that, boss. You literally just got back home after months. You should’ve told me you were coming—I would have—""What

The murmuring of the crowd faded into a tense silence as all heads turned to watch the vehicle approach. A thick wave of curiosity and unease swept through them, each person wondering who could possibly be inside. They all recognized the vehicle. It wasn’t just any car—it was a limousine reserved exclusively for the highest-ranking members of the empire. But all known high-ranking figures were already present on the field. The presence of this particular car raised an immediate and unsettling question: who else could it be?Down on the wooden platform, Jude Gallagher remained on his knees, his wrists still bound. He squinted at the advancing limousine, his breath caught in his throat. Then, slowly, a wide grin crept across his bruised face.“He’s… back,” he muttered softly, the words barely a whisper, yet somehow still

This estate belonged to Scott, and tall mansions could be seen here and there. But Scott noticed something was wrong."Where is everyone?" he asked, raising a brow."They're all at the green field. Kael is going to execute Jude Gallagher today. The man betrayed the empire, and today is the day he will be judged," Jerry responded."Jude Gallagher? The accountant?" Scott questioned."Yes, sir. He tossed the table to the side of the room and shifted his gaze back to Joe. Joe's heart raced, his eyes filled with terror, and cold sweat trickled down his face. "What's the matter? Come on, rise up," Mr. Leeray gestured, and Joe hesitated. "I said rise up, man. You have no reason to be scared. As long as you do exactly what I tell you to do, we won't have a problem," Mr. Leeray added. Joe hesitated for a few seconds before rising up slowly. Before he could rise fully, Mr. Leeray grabbed him by the collar and picked him up aggressively. He moved swiftly to the wall and pinned him against it. "Please... don't kill me. I haven't wronged you in any way," Joe whimpered, and tears gathered in his eyes. "I won't kill you if you tell me what I need to know," Mr. Leeray spat, and his gaze fixed intently on Joe. I’m breaking you all out of there,” Chief Jim affirmed.“What? How? How are you even going to do that?” Perez questioned.“I have a plan already. Don’t worry about that,” Chief Jim responded. “I just came here to fill you in and tell you to get yourselves ready.”“Okay, but why do you want to do it? Why are you so eager to get us out of here?
