"That's what I thought...you can't kill me. And you know why? It's because I am now useful to Mr. Fernando. If you kill me here words will get out and Mr. Fernando would definitely come for you and your whole family." Scott smirked.

"Stop assuming things! I am going to kill you on the count of three if you do not give me the package!" Bolasco spat. "This is the last chance to give it to me or start saying your last words!" He added.

Scott nodded as he took a few steps backwards and turned around slowly with his eyes closed.

"I was close to achieving everything. I was fucking close to achieving my goal!" Scott spoke in an audible tone with his back facing Bolasco and his gaze fixed on the sky above.

A slight look of puzzle appeared on n Bolasco's face after hearing the words of Scott.

"Get it done, man." Scott added.

"Three! Two!" He began to count down, and when he got to the number two he cocked the gun and made sure he was aiming towards Scott's head to avoid missing.

Bolasco raised a question, his voice filled with confusion."That's right, boys, I am planning to expand my business. I am now thinking big. My goal here is to move from being a gang Lord to being a gang god, and the only way to do that is if we kill Mr. Leeray." Mr. Fernando spoke up."This is absurd, sir. Mr. Fernando uttered as he placed his pistol back in his belt. "So, as I was saying." He then shifted his gaze back to the crowd and noticed the frightful expression on their faces."Ice will return back to Mr. Leeray's territory and keep acting like his partner buy she would be secretly gathering information that might help us take him down. And while she's at it, I want you all to prepare our weapons. I know it might seem impossible but once we deliver the package to the Italian government we will have their whole army backing us, that alone gives us the upper hand. So make sure everything is ready. We need to be ready at all time because we have no idea when the war would start!" Mr. Fernando declared, and the whole crowd gave a resounding reply

Scott nodded before heading towards the staircase. He climbed up the stairs until he finally arrived in the top floor where he could see Mr. Fernando several meters away. Scott took a deep breath in and out before making his way towards him."Here I am, Sir." Scott muttered. Hearing the words of Scott, Mr. Fernando shifted his gaze towards him."Scott, I need to discuss business with you." Mr. Fernando said in a serious tone."What do you mean, sir? What business?" Scott inquired respectfully."Come with me." Mr. Fernando gestured as he took Scott inside his secret office and shut the door. The office was quite vast and was big enough to fit in thirty people.A huge round table could be seen at the center of the room, and the table was filled with illegal tickets for horse races and underground fight clubs. "Do you know why I sent you on the mission to retrieve the package? One of the reason was to avoid attention from other gangs around, yes..but the main reason was because all my comrades refused to go. They knew it would be dangerous, and when I asked if there was anyone brave enough to go on the mission no one replied. Even the so called Bolasco kept his hand down. However, when I asked you to go on the mission you didn't think twice before accepting. That's enough reason for me to see just how worthy you are. So let me ask you once again, Scott, do you want to join my gang and be my trusted partner?" Mr. Fernando declared audibly.Scott sat there in silence after Mr. Fernando was done with his words, and a look of contemplation evident on his face."That is a lot to digest. Meanwhile… Elsewhere on Scott’s estate…In a quiet, deserted section of the property, four guards sat in a loose circle on wooden chairs, their flashlights clutched in their left hands while their rifles hung over their shoulders. The air was cool and thick with silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the chirping of distant insects. They were stationed near the outer boundary of the estate—a less-traveled area that bordered dense woods. "I can't believe boss is back, man." One of the guards said, raising his plastic and sipping the gin he held in his right hand."I can't believe that after all these months he finally returned. Many said he was dead, some said he abandoned the empire because of all the responsibilities. But he's finally back." Another guard spoke up, and a joyful expression evident on his face."I'm really glad he's back. Even though I haven't met him or see him, I know he's a good and generous man. He increases our salary every month back then. No

Scott walked up the staircase, ascending toward his room with slow, deliberate steps. When he reached the door, he paused for a moment before pushing it open. Scott stood silently at the threshold, his eyes sweeping across the space as a distant, unreadable expression settled on his face. The room was exactly as he had left it months ago. Not a single thing seemed out of place. There were no cobwebs in the corners, no dust blanketing the surfaces—clear evidence that the maids had continued tending to it regularly. They must have believed he would one day return, and they had kept it in perfect shape, almost as if time had stopped here."At least he didn't touch my room," Scott murmured to himself, stepping inside and gently closing the door behind him.He moved toward the bed and sat down heavily, leaning his elbows on his knees, his back hunched and his mind consumed with thought. His face remained expressionless, but his eyes told a different story—one of confusion, disappointment,

  • Welcome back, boss!

Scott ran his fingers through his sleek black hair and paced back and forth on the raised platform. The things he was hearing now were vastly different from how things had been just months ago. It felt like everything had changed completely—as if he had been gone for years—yet it hadn't even been a full year since his departure."You mean Sandro never used the money I sent him to support the companies?" Scott finally questioned, his voice edged with disbelief."No, he didn’t," Kael replied audibly. "Whenever I told him the company was running low on cash, he would say we should manage because you hadn’t been answering your calls. The company was slowly going bankrupt because there was no money to sustain it. That’s why I took those loans.""Sandro?" Scott echoed bitterly. "How could he do this to me? I trusted him.""I don’t think now is the time for you to worry about that, boss. You literally just got back home after months. You should’ve told me you were coming—I would have—""What

The murmuring of the crowd faded into a tense silence as all heads turned to watch the vehicle approach. A thick wave of curiosity and unease swept through them, each person wondering who could possibly be inside. They all recognized the vehicle. It wasn’t just any car—it was a limousine reserved exclusively for the highest-ranking members of the empire. But all known high-ranking figures were already present on the field. The presence of this particular car raised an immediate and unsettling question: who else could it be?Down on the wooden platform, Jude Gallagher remained on his knees, his wrists still bound. He squinted at the advancing limousine, his breath caught in his throat. Then, slowly, a wide grin crept across his bruised face.“He’s… back,” he muttered softly, the words barely a whisper, yet somehow still

But Scott noticed something was wrong."Where is everyone?" he asked, raising a brow."They're all at the green field. Kael is going to execute Jude Gallagher today.
