Who is it?" Scott questioned, but didn't receive any response. All he got was total silence. "I said who is it?" Scott demanded.

He stood there for a few minutes but still no response from the person.

"I won't open the door unless you tell me who it is!" Scott voiced out audibly, and finally got a reply.

"Fine then." A deep voice was heard, and what followed after was a loud banging sound as the door was sent flying and also hit Scott and sent him crashing meters away.

After knocking down the door, three bulky men stepped into the room with fierce looks evident on their faces.

"Scott Carden, I presume?" Tabulee questioned in the same deep and demonic tone as he glared at Scott.

Scott rose from the floor, his body now covered in dust and his face bruised after getting knocked down by the door.

"Who are you guys?" Scott questioned as he wiped the drop of blood off his cheek and glared at the bulky men in front of him.

"Who are we? That doesn't matter." Tabulee responded. "Honestly, when

"Doctor, do you have a second?" Jordan beckoned on him."What's the matter, officer?" The assistant doctor inquired."I just have one question for you. Who else did you inform about Marie waking up from her coma earlier today?" Jordan questioned in a deep and serious tone, and his eyes glaring right into the eyes of the doctor. The doctor stood there for a few seconds before he finally responded, "I only informed her brother, no one else.""Just Scott? Are you sure?" Jordan questioned."Yes. Just him." He responded before walking away, leaving Jordan alone with his thoughts. Jordan weren't back to the bench and sat with looks of contemplation."He only told Scott about it and no one else, meaning the only people who knew about Marie's recovery was I, Chief Jim, and Scott." Jordan pondered internally. "I was with Chief the whole time, so he probably didn't tell anyone else. Scott on the other hand, I'm not sure. If he is working with the Gang Hunter and also gave him info about Marie w

I was only there following orders, and then I found you barely alive on the floor " Jordan explained. "Who did this to you, Scott?"Scott remained mute after hearing the words of Jordan as he contemplated on whether or not he should tell him that the people responsible for it was the Fernando's family. If he should say something against the family, the police might take legal actions on them, and that could tamper with his mission here. So the best thing to do is give a false report."I got attacked by gang members." Scott responded."Really? Why?" Jordan inquired, as he took out a small notepad from his pocket and jotted something down."I really dunno. They just showed up and attacked me. It's not a new thing really, it has been going on for quite a while now so I'm not really surprised." Scott responded in a calm to

(SOMEWHERE ELSE)The police station was a bustling hub of activity in the afternoon. The fluorescent lights overhead cast a bright glow over the rows of desks and chairs, where officers typed away on their computers or chatted with colleagues. The air was thick with the smell of stale coffee and worn leather. To one side, a large conference table dominated the room, surrounded by chairs and stacks of files. A whiteboard covered in scribbled notes and diagrams stood at the head of the table, a testament to the ongoing investigations. The sound of keyboards clacking, phones ringing, and muted conversations filled the air, punctuated by the occasional rustle of papers or the creak of a chair. A TV mounted in the corner played a live news broadcast, the anchor's voice a steady hum in the background. The walls were adorned with maps, charts, and wanted posters, a visual reminder of the station's purpose. A water cooler stood in one corner, next to a vending machine dispensing snacks and dr

"That's what I thought. I don't know for sure, though, but based on his words I can tell he knows something. Question is, how much does he now and how did he find out?" Chief Jim bellowed. "He probably doesn't know anything. I mean, don't get me wrong, he might be suspecting us that we are still chasing the case, but he doesn't know for sure if we are indeed chasing the case. He is yet to catch us red-handed, neither does he have any evidence against us, so relax, Chief. As long as we play this safe, nothing would happen." Jordan remarked with his voice barely above a whisper."That's good. We have to be extra careful when having our meeting." Chief Jim sounded. "Since tonight is the night of the annual gang meeting, we should all meet in the secret tunnel to revise the plan and make things clear." He added."Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll inform the rest of the team and we shall all gather up in the tunnel." Jordan gave him a salute before standing up and exiting the office.***Bac

Scott and the Arabic man walked down the deserted alleyway, making their way towards the area where they could hear the voices of people and the sounds of vehicles. The phone was also drenched, but luckily, it was waterproof and hadn’t been damaged by the water. He switched it on while walking forward, his other hand casually tucked in his pocket."You don’t have any idea where we are, right?" the Arabic man inquired, breaking the silence."You keep asking me this exact question every two seconds," Scott muttered. The jet hit the ocean with a violent crash, a massive splash erupting into the air as it made contact with the water’s surface. It was as if the sky itself had hurled a stone into a glassy pool. Water exploded in every direction. For a few tense seconds, the damaged aircraft floated unsteadily on the churning waves, bobbing like a wounded beast, groaning under its own weight. Then, slowly, the nose began to dip, and the jet started its final descent beneath the surface.Inside the cockpit, the dim emergency lights flickered against the rising gloom. Scott remained motionless in the pilot’s seat, his hands still clamped around the yoke as though frozen in time.Every muscle in his body trembled with fatigue and shock, and his breath came out in short, sharp bursts. Beads of cold sweat slid down his temples and jawline.Beside him, the Arabic man remained in the co-pilot seat, his eyes shut tightly as if bracing for the final impact that never came. His chest rose and fell rapidly, but

Sullivan stood frozen in place after hearing Scott’s words—like a statue carved from fear and sweat. The black parachute bag was clenched tightly in both hands.“No… You can’t do that. That’s suicide.” Sullivan finally muttered, his voice trembling. “Let me do it instead. You get out of here.”Scott turned to him slowly, the roar of the wind outside now creeping through the fuselage like the cold fingers of death. He rested both hands on Sullivan’s shoulders, firm but gentle.“You asked about the rest of the men earlier,” Scott said, his voice lower now, almost lost in the chaos around them. “You want to know why they aren’t here with me?”Sullivan stared into his boss’s eyes, his lips parting slightly, as if dreading the answer.“They’re all dead,” Scott continued. “Every single one. I can't afford to lose another comrade.”He gave Sullivan a solid pat on the shoulder, gripping him tighter. “So stop arguing and do as I say.”Sullivan swallowed hard, emotions swelling in his chest. "You and I need to have a little chat before I kill you," Scott growled coldly, his gun firmly aimed at the man’s forehead. The muscular man knelt on the floor, his palm still clutching his bleeding arm, blood seeping through his fingers and dripping onto the polished metal beneath him. His face was flushed—red not just from rage, but from the searing pain radiating through his shoulder. He wanted nothing more than to leap forward and tear Scott apart, but the barrel of the gun inches from his face made that fantasy suicidal. One wrong move and Scott would blow his brains out without hesitation. No, the only card left to play now was cooperation."You're going to answer my questions," Scott said, voice as icy as a winter gale. "Every time you disobey or refuse, I'll put a bullet in a different part of your body until you bleed out and die."The man simply shrugged, grimacing in pain, but said nothing."Who are you people? And why the hell are you after me?" Scott demanded."I'm sure y

He leaned back in the seat, trying to regain composure.A moment later, the door to the cockpit slid open with a soft hiss, and Sullivan stepped out. His expression was etched with confusion and lingering shock from the attack."What the hell was that all about, boss? Who were those guys?" he asked, his voice low and cautious, still processing the chaos they had just escaped.Scott didn’t respond immediately. He let out a deep sigh, his eyes briefly closing as he ran a hand down his face."It’s a long story, and now’s not the time to tell it," he said calmly, keeping his tone composed. "Just focus on flying the jet."Sullivan nodded slowly but wasn’t entirely satisfied. “Alright, but… how do we know nothing critical got damaged? I mean, they shot at us like maniacs.
