“I am not sure how much time she has left but I don't think that she has much time left. Things are not looking good at the moment and she might die,” Janet Winston responded, her voice breaking amidst the silent tears that were dropping off her face.

Janet was the last person to witness Lady Winston before she was in a state of coma. She recalled how she warned her against going to the meeting with Mr. Maxwell and how she told her that even if she was going to go, she should go with either Frank Winston or Thomas Winston.

Why did she have to be so stubborn and refuse to yield to her counsel? She could see the handwriting on the wall. It was very clear to her that something was wrong and Lady Winston’s desperation to go for the meeting was what made her even more cautious about it.
