CHAPTER 160

“Oh, Mirabel is doing fine. She was lively just a few moments ago but she is now asleep,” Sarah responded, caressing Mirabel’s hair. She intentionally avoided the question about how her first day at work was because she didn’t know how to respond to that just yet.

In any case, she was relieved that it was her brother Marcus Winston who stopped by to talk to her. She always had the feeling that someone was going to interrupt her thoughts by wanting to engage her in a conversation that she wasn’t going to be interested in.

But at least with Marcus’ presence, she didn’t have to be worried about all that anymore. Also, she had a thing or two to speak to Marcus about and she hoped that she would develop the courage to talk to him about it and that he wouldn’t impose his opinion like the way Doctor Lopez did even before she could let out what she was going to say.
