CHAPTER 34

Paul’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “What is it Grandpa?” He asked. He had always wanted to know more about Miriam and when he thought he had known something tangible about her, there always seemed to be something more left to be known.

“Oh, chill, don't be too serious, it……” Grandpa Leonard responded but was cut short by a long streak of labored cough. His dry chest was rattled as he let out the painful cough.

“Grandpa, you need to take care of yourself better,” he said, offering him a glass of water that he received from the driver.

“I have received some reports that you are slacking in taking your medications.”

“Reports?” Grandpa Leonard asked, his eyes opened in surprise.

“Of course. Did you think that I would not have had the contacts of some of your guards to get information on how you are faring? Of course, the fact that I am now the head of one of the largest syndicates in the world doesn't mean that I would forget you.”

“That is so good of you, my boy,” Grandpa Leonard remark
