Miriam sprang up from her hiding place, her hands raised in a desperate gesture. “I am here,” she said frantically.

“Get her! Bound her up,” the hitmen quickly went to her and bound her wobbling her through the swamp as they got back into the warehouse.

They tied her to a pole with thick ropes while she struggled to no avail for freedom.

“Oh, like I said, you are a victim,” Ms. Serfa said - she was at the warehouse waiting for her colleagues to come back with a bound Miriam. “There is no way you or Paul can win against us. If only you know the extent of damage we are still yet to do against you.”

Miriam’s breathing was ragged with exhaustion as she could barely move due to the impact of the rope used to tie her up.
