Chapter 3: His savior

Demi received a tight slap on her face, which woke her from the delusion she was walking in. But Jonas, suddenly regret his decision and started apologizing to her.

" Demi! I am sorry, please...I didn't mean to also you, or just happened unconsciously ".

Jonas regretted slapping her and not talking things out.

" You know what Jonas, let's break up ".

Jonas felt like someone just slapped him across the cheek, it wasn't an actual slap, but the pain and burning sensation were there, it wasn't a great experience.

" Demi, I know I was wrong to slap you, and I apologize for doing that. Just...just don't break up with me. You did something wrong, I did something wrong, so now we are equal. So let's forget this conversation ever happened. I will overlook you have cheated on me, just give me a chance ", Jonas desperately wanted to not break up with her as they have been together for six years, and he didn't wanna separate from her.

Demi shook off his hand hard and look at him all disgustingly. " Jonas, do you even know what you are doing right now? You ask me to not break up, but is there even a reason for us to be together now? Just tell me one thing, do you even remember when was the last time we went on a date? Or spend a night together? I hundred percent sure you don't know, because we haven't spent time with each other in the last four years. I understand you are not rich and have a sick sister to take care of. But...am I not your priority? In the last four years, we haven't had a proper conversation, you don't have time for me. So let's just go our separate way. I no longer want to see you ", Demi had enough of me and now no longer wanted to spend even a second with him.

She already admitted to cheating on him with another man, and she no longer feels guilty or regretted her decision, but she was in pain when she took the decision.

Jonas on the other hand had nothing to debate with her. Because she wasn't wrong. Indeed, for the last four years, he was super busy to even meet or ask how she was doing, he was always working from morning to night and taking care of his sister, and there was no time for her in his schedule.

" Demi, give me a chance, I promise I will change myself, I will become what you want me to. Take you on dates, spend time with you, and do what you desire. Just don't leave me ", Jonas couldn't see himself breaking up with her.

" Jonas ", Demi shouted. " There's nothing to talk about, we are over...completely. Please leave me alone. I don't care what you spread about me outside now, since I cheated on you, I can tolerate whatever shit you throw on me. So just leave now ", Demi was pretty patient for someone who just cheated on her boyfriend.

But she didn't hide anything from him since he saw her with someone else.

Jonas was heartbroken now, but his heart and mind refused to admit it was her fault because both were pointing at him for being the biggest mastermind here. Also, it was true, Demi was always nice to him, it was he who neglected her.

He was angry at himself for not giving her any attention and left there, Demi just kept on looking at his back as she felt it was all over.

" Hey! Don't you wanna chase him and explain everything? ", The guy behind her said in quite a confusing tone.

" There's nothing to explain. We should separate. He has been suffering just enough, I can't see him suffer more ", Demi pushed the guy inside and closed the door.

Jonas was in his world, getting all emotional and filling his heart with sadness when once again suddenly his phone started ringing.

He picked up the call, but upon receiving the call, he got scolded. " Jonas, get your ass to the restaurant, right now ".

Just from the voice, he could tell that his boss was angry, his anger issues were on some other level of madness but always reasonable.

Jonas wiped his tears and returned to the restaurant. As a delivery man, he was responsible for all the food parcels to be sent to their rightful owner. But today, just like many other times, he failed to complete the duty.

When he arrived, he saw the boss fuming red and waiting for him, and the moment he spotted Jonas, his anger rise to a whole new level.

" After creating such a blunder, you are only coming now, that too after I call. You are fired, Jonas. Pay the money for all the losses you created for my business and get lost ", He stormed at Jonas.

" Boss! Please...please don't fire me. I promise I won't do it again. Please don't fire me ", Jonas begged.

He only had four jobs, and if he were to lose this one, how would he earn money for medical treatment and pay the debt? No, he couldn't lose this part-time job.

No matter how willing he was, the boss was scary and fuming red. " Jonas, I have gone soft on you on many occasions, always understood you, and tried to help you. But don't you think you took me for granted? I run a restaurant and you are my employee, you are supposed to make my workload light and help me. But having you is like raising an extra child which earns you nothing but makes you spend and waste your energy only. And I have no interest, time, or effort to have you here anymore. So please leave. Considering you were hardworking and genuine, I won't charge you. So just leave ".

His boss was no doubt an angry man who was always level with fuse and fume but was a nice person altogether. He was never unfair to his employees and always treat them nicely. Jonas was a special case who kept on making trouble for him.

Jonas wanted to keep on begging until his boss let him stay and change his decision. But then again, he understood that by doing so, would only lose his respect. Being stubborn was useless.

" Thank you for having me and teaching me so much during my working days. Hope your business bloom 10 times every day ", Jonas said good words and left.

His eyes were heavy as water would run down the holes anytime.

He had four jobs but now only three remained. He was notified of much bad news today, he lost his job, his sister's health became worse, and the doctor demands he pays the bills and money for the upcoming surgery. As if that wasn't enough, even his girlfriend left him for some other man.

" I am already having a tone of debt on my head. Ari's surgery is approaching too. Where am I gonna get 500000 dollars in such a short time? This isn't some short amount which can be earned anytime ", He said sitting by the side of the road which was just beside the children's park.

There was so much debt on his head, medical treatment bills, and surgery were on the head.

" God of fortune, if you are seeing my misery, why don't you help me? For now long should I struggle? ", He screamed looking at the sky, all frightened and nervous as earning money was his most important goal of now.

Jonas sat by the side of the children's park, thinking about what to do next, nothing coming to his mind as the doctor's words spun around in his head.

500000 dollars was a large amount to him, even if he works his ass off for another ten years, he won't be able to earn this much.

He was a normal university student, poor with no reputation among his peers. If anything, he was mocked by others. Only his teachers and the professors like him.

Standing at a point where one side was a sea without a shore and a volcano on the other side, he was left with no choice or option, both were dead ends for him.

Just as much as he was desperate to get his sister admitted for the surgery, money was still the biggest issue.

" I haven't paid the previous bills yet. I need 500000 dollars. Should I look for shady places? Even if I have to sell my body now, I have to earn money. But who's gonna pay me money? Not like I have a desirable body or charm ", He mumbled in low spirit.

" Just 500000 dollars? What's so hard about earning it? ", Spoke someone.

" Easy feet? Then you must be a rich person to say that ", Jonas babbled only to realize someone sitting beside him.

" Huh? Who are you? And were you eavesdropping on me? It's rude ", Jonas was too shocked to react. And a moment later became mad with her and showed it directly on his face, that annoyance of his was quite sexy.

Beside him was a woman in her prime, beautiful. Her body was luminous and perfect in shape. She was only wearing black shorts, making her thighs look extra thick and sexier. Not to mention her top was crop top style, exposing her waist and that gorgeous novel, throwing people into the fantasy of how beautiful she was underneath.

Embroidered with long, thick, and curvy hair, the front section was embroidered in a braid, visualizing her curves and enhancing her beauty. Large eyes that if she stare at someone, would enchant them completely. And that mole under her left eye, made her look even more gorgeous.

Now that Jonas looked at her carefully, her visuals and sitting style was giving off a wealthy aura. She wasn't someone from the lower class.

Lina crossed her legs as she smiled at him, her smile wasn't extravagant or excessive, just the right amount to flutter someone's heart, truly captivating.

" You are right, I was eavesdropping on you. And it was on purpose, I have an offer to make, just thinking if you would accept it. If you are to accept the offer, all your worries will disappear. Wanna hear? ".

Lina raised one eyebrow as she smirked and asked him. She was confident that once Jonas hears the offer, he won't be able to back off. Because the deal was tempting and lucrative to be rejected.

" You look like someone from a wealthy family, why are you cheating people? It's a crime to scam people, don't you know?".

Jonas was skeptical and won't believe that someone was willing to offer something to someone like him who had nothing to offer in return.

Lina scooted over towards him, " I can offer you that much money. In return, you have to live with me ", Said Lina nonchalantly.

" Why would you wanna stay with a poor person like me? If you go around, you will find many young, handsome, and rich men ", Jonas couldn't read what was going on in this lady's cunning mind.

" I can, but they aren't you. I want your face, your body, and your whole identity. Say, wanna work for me? If you say yes, you won't lack anything ", She made an offer, a lucrative one at that.

Lina had already made up her mind. Jonas was the only one who could help her in all this trouble, only he was capable of it.

" Will I really get 500000 dollars if I work for you? ", Jonas asked curiously, seriously wanting to know if she was serious or making fun of him.

Of course, he had pride and ego, but if it can't help her sister heal, what's the use of having it? For him, Ari was his only family and he couldn't lose her.

Seeing she has succeeded in convincing him, Lina took out the phone and told him to enter his number. " Here, enter your number so I can transfer the half payment. Come on, I am not a scammer, you can trust me ".

Jonas thought, there was nothing to think about, he needed every bit of money, and there was no room for being picky. Plus, it was also a test to know if she was a real deal or a scammer.

He entered his number into her phone and just within the next ten seconds he received a message saying 250000 dollars have been deposited into his account. He was silly shocked, his eyes glued to his phone screen as he couldn't believe if he was in reality or that it was just his dream.

Lina shook her phone before his eyes with that cunning smile on her face. " Now that I have paid you, you only have an hour to prepare. Take whatever you want, because we are leaving now ".

Jonas stood straight with a questionable expression on his face when he heard her say they have to leave. " Where are you taking me? ".
