A mutual enemy

Alex sighed as he kept calling Alexia and the call wasn't connecting, he sighed and called his father. His father picked up immediately and he sighed again.

“It worked right?” Alex asked and his father laughed.

“Of course.” He replied.

“And she picked the money over me?” Alex asked.

“Sure.” His father replied.

“Thanks, Charlie.” He muttered and ended the call, tears suddenly clouded Alex’s eyes and he increased the speed of the car immediately, he bit his lips to fight his tears but couldn't.

He sighed and parked his car, he cried silently with his head bowed.

“You really didn't have to leave.” He muttered and sniffed.

“I was going to work things out, I was planning to.” He said and his phone beeped. He stared at the caller and slowly picked it up.

“Yes?” He asked.

“Dude, where the fuck are you? I heard the Russians attacked you, are you okay?” Beck asked.

“Yes, I am okay. I will call you later Beck.” He said and ended the call. He breathed out heavily and leaned back on the seat.
