Two Worlds

Grounded

Alexia got to the front of her house and tried to use her clothes to hide the scars on her body so her mother wouldn't question her. She took in a deep breath and walked into the house to see her mother and her friends, she froze and thought of things to say immediately.

“She is back.” Chloe said to her mother and she turned to see Alexia.

“Mum, good evening.”

“Where did you go to Alexia?”

“I... I... I was... “

“Answer me!” Her mother yelled at her and she flinched.

“You said you were going to your friend’s place, are these not your friends?” Her mother asked and she played with the bag she was holding.

“And the food with you, where did you take it to?”

“Mum, am sorry.” She said in fear and her mother sighed.

“Your friends said that you have been going to that mansion, what have you been doing there and who or what are you taking things for?” Her mother asked and Alexia turned to her friends angrily.

“So this is about me not going into the mansion with you? Do you think after telling my mum I will tell you what is in it or I will follow you inside it? Hell no.”

“Alexia am talking to you.” Her mother said.

“Yes and mum I am listening to you, am sorry I lied to you and I will take whatever punishment you give me.”

“You are grounded for a week, you can't go anywhere including selling cupcakes for me.”

“What? Mum? A week? But he will... “ Alexia trailed off seeing her friend’s interest in what she was about to say.

“She was about to say something.” Nicki said and Alexia glared at them. She dropped the bag and walked to her room.

DAYS LATER

Alexia groaned and paced around her room with just a thought on her mind. The thought of Alex being okay with food for days. She was terrified the other day and didn't want to go back but she couldn't stop thinking about how he is doing.

She looked at the time and saw it was still in the morning, she sighed and walked to her savings box.

She planned on using her savings to buy her mother a present on her birthday, she sighed and stared at the box.

“I really hope am not making a mistake.” She said with a sigh and broke the box. She picked up the money and jumped out of her room through the window. She ran to the small mall in the town and bought every necessary thing, she also did some grocery shopping and headed to the mansion.

She got to the entrance and looked around to check if people aren't watching or if her friends were, she walked in through the back door and headed to the entrance.

She walked in and drop the groceries on the table.

“Alex, it's Alexia. For some reason am back.” She said with a sigh and she saw him running down the stairs.

“Alexia.” He called happily and hugged her tightly.

“Alexia, you came back, you didn't leave me.” He yelled happily and she smiled.

“Come.” She said and pulled him to the table.

“I got you clothes, a toothbrush, a soft sponge, some soap and deodorants. I got you some groceries and a band and combs for your hair.” She said and showed him everything.

“Thank... Thank you.” He smiled and she nodded.

“So first, go and have your bath and I will prepare you some food, you are hungry right?” She asked and he nodded.

“How will I bath?” He asked innocently and Alexia opened her mouth in shock.

“Are you kidding me? If you are playing Alex you better stop it, what kind of a play is this?”

“Am not, will I... “

“Ugh, it's fine. Let us go.” She said and he helped he carry the bags, they both walked upstairs and dropped the bags in his room.

Alexia opened the tap water and sighed in relief to see the water running, she cleaned the bathroom and walked to Alex.

“Okay, let us start.” She said and picked up his toothbrush, she applied a little toothpaste to it and gave it to him.

He collected it and was about to lift it to his hair when Alexia yelled.

“No, it's not for your hair, it's for your mouth.” She groaned and pulled him to the bathroom and turned on the water.

“I can't believe am doing this.” She sighed and creased her forehead.

“Open your mouth.” She ordered and he did, she brushed his teeth for him and he washed his mouth with water.

“Emily used to do that for me.” He said and Alexia nodded with a smile.

She noticed anytime he talks about Emily he always gets angry or sad so she just let it go by nodding.

“So, about the bathing issue, I will just show you how to do it, I can't bathe for you.”

“Why?”

“Because you are a ugh... “ She groaned loudly and picked up the sponge.

“First you will turn the shower on and let your body get wet then you will apply a lot of soap on your body then scrub your whole with your sponge.” She explained and showed him how to do it, he nodded with a smile and she gave him the sponge and the soap and walked out.

She sighed and brought out his clothes, she arranged them in his closet and took out the old ones. She cleaned his room and it looked better.

“Alexia, am done.” He said happily and Alexia turned to see him naked with soap all over his body, she screamed and turned her back to him.

“What?” He asked and she groaned.

“You are supposed to use water to rinse your body and wrap a towel around your waist.”

“But you didn't tell me and what’s a towel?”

Alexia groaned and closed her eyes before turning to him.

“Why are you doing that?” He asked as he played with the soap on his body.

“Go back inside and turn on the water like I taught you okay?”

“Okay, Alexia.” He replied and ran inside the bathroom, Alexia sighed in relief and opened her eyes. She picked up the towel and placed it on the handle to the bathroom.

He came out again and this time the towel was wrapped around his waist.

“Great, now let's get you dressed.”

“What? I can dress up myself.” He said with a smile and laughed at her.

“What?”

“Why will you dress up for me? Am not a baby.”

“You can dress up yourself but you can't bath for yourself?” She yelled angrily.

“Yeah sure and why are you getting angry? Stop getting angry, you look crazy.” He said with a smile and Alexia stared at him in shock.
