CHAPTER 77.CONGRESSIONAL RACE

At the Archer's mansion, Mr. Damon sat with his family, each engrossed in different activities except Diane, who hadn't joined them.

"Where's Diane?" Mr. Damon asked, his eyes darting around once he saw James.

James slowly raised his head from his phone. "She's in her room," he replied swiftly, bending back over to his phone.

"And when is she going to stop this behavior? She no longer converses with her family," Mr. Damon voiced his concern.

Mrs. Freya rolled her eyes at her husband's comment. "Let her be. I guess she's still healing."

"Healing?" he repeated with a scowl. "It's been almost a month since it happened. Everyone has moved on. Both on the internet and in real life."

"It's better than being checked into rehab," she fired back, muttering.

Mr. Damon's eyes drifted back to the ongoing news on the television while he tried to avoid his wife's gaze.

The news announcer exclaimed, "It's really a surprise! Fredrik Bahm has just entered the congressional race at the last minute."
