Chapter 1: Host Found, System ActivatedIn an abandoned decrepit warehouse, the dimly lit space was filled with dust and shadows. The sound of dripping water echoed throughout the cavernous room. Arden's eyes scanned the area, searching for any sign of the girl he was determined to save. He had overheard her pleading for help just when he was walking by the road, Arden tried to ignore it, but his conscience won't let him, and so here he was, wanting to save the unknown beauty in dismal condition. Soon Arden spots a huddled figure in the corner, hidden beneath a tattered blanket. It's Emma, a timid girl who has become the target of a group of bullies. Arden was a little surprised to see Emma, though they didn't have much interaction in the past; Emma was actually Arden's coursemate in college. Determined to protect her, Arden approaches cautiously. Suddenly, the warehouse doors creaked open, and two burly bullies, Max and Vince, who Arden recognised, stepped inside. They oozed an
Chapter2 First Mission "rumble!" "rumble!" "rumble!" Arden heard jarring boomings as he witnessed individual trees tumble in the path of something massive heading in his direction. "Oh, my God!" "WHAT… Th..The HELL IS THIS!" Arden yelled hysterically. In his eyes, the image reflected a huge creature three times the size of a bear, weighing around 1,800 pounds, and standing up to 10 feet tall on its fore and hind legs was galloping towards him in the midst of falling trees. The sight of the Direbrinbare made Arden shake uncontrollably in fright. Never in his entire life had he come across something as enormous, ghastly, and terrifying as he was gazing at right now. The Direbrinbare was a red-furred monster with a seal's face; its four limbs ended in sharp claws; its eyes were very small; its mouth was unusually wide; and it had two larger teeth that stretched towards its belly, as well as a scattering of smaller teeth buried within the split between its lips. "Roar!" Wh
Chapter3 Level Up "What in the hell is that!?" Arden let out a scream. Suddenly, he stood up and strengthened his grip on the Lazonion Swift Blade he had been holding. His gaze swept the area around him, looking for any indication that a Direbrinbare might be nearby. Yet, much to Arden's surprise, he didn't see anything besides the vegetation that was all around him. This realization only served to make him more anxious because he was unable to spot a potential enemy who, based on the sound, could be in his immediate location. "Where are you, Direbrinbare? Show yourself!" Arden yelled, but there was no response from anyone. "krrrrrr" "Ahh!" Arden was startled when the croaking sound returned to his ears for a second time. This time around, Arden paid close attention to the origin of the sound, and as a result, he was able to pinpoint where it came from. Arden discovered that the peculiar croaking sound that originated from his stomach came as the biggest surprise to him
Chapter4: Uger and Wolves As Arden and company continued to stride towards the green pillar of light or according to the system, the beacon. Evnor endlessly conversed with Arden, explaining to him how amazing the Astro world was and which place he was currently located in the Evamore island, and the several clans inhabiting the Evamore island. Arden widened his eyes in amazement as soon as he heard of the various races that could be found on just one island in the whole of Astro world. "The Urcs, the Infernal demons, and the Holy falcons, I wonder just how the other races look compared to the Moon Elfs" Arden mumbled inwardly. Just when the group covered two kilometres, the ground beneath their very feet suddenly trembled greatly as if a massive earthquake was occurring. "what the hell is going on!" Arden blurted. "this tremor!, something very big and powerful must be heading our way!" Evnor exclaimed. "Such a powerful presence, I don't think we can contend with this ent
Chapter5: countdown "Roar!" The Alpha wolf barked an order to the remaining wolves to follow it as it took the charge to attack Arden and the girls. Micrio and Althev showed no signs of interfering, to them, it was a great chance for the princess to hone her skills. The moment in the alpha arrived, It hopped towards Arden with maximum speed, it's claws tearing into the air as it rushed towards his face. To it, Arden was most likely the weakest among the group. At the same time, the other two wolves attacked him from different angles. One beared its teeth as it aimed to gnaw on his backneck while the other wolf reached for Arden right shoulder. Evnor and Noiter where preocupied with other wolves and were unable to assist him. The beseech of the wolves left Arden with nowhere to evade. Anybody would have been sent into panic in such a situation but on the contrary, Ardens eyes had no hint of fear. A sly look appeared in his eyes as he focused his attention on the Alpha male,
Chapter6: The poisonous Serpent King I "You idiot, why did you acted so recklessly, you almost put us in trouble!" Evnor berated. "Mhhh, if you ask me my princess, we should just get rid of him, he has caused us so much trouble" "So sorry about that, I didn't mean to put you all in trouble, I just couldn't control myself" Arden remarked, a little unsure of how to put things, but he definitely couldn't tell them about the system's mission. "young man, were you so anxious because of ranking up" Micrio suddenly said out of nowhere. " I can sense that you're now in Rank four of Celestial Novice" "What talent, to be able to rank up in the midst of danger" Althev mumbled as he glanced at Arden admirably. "really, you actually ascended a rank?" Evnor remarked as she now gazed at Arden with glowing eyes. In the Astro world, Astro mages often had to be in a meditative position in order to ascend into a higher rank, this is due to the fact that Astro mages must entail a clear head to
Chapter7: The poisonous sergeant king II Arden proceeded deeper into the dark passage, as he walked further, it got gloomier and darker but he also sensed that the narrow passage was becoming wider and wider. "just where the hell is this passage leading to?" Arden mumbled as he progressed forth, his heart still pounding heavily and his eyes scanned around wearily. Though he just killed a couple of snakes which made him have more courage to face what lies ahead, his innate fear for snakes couldn't let him be at peace. "shhhhh!" Following a strange sound, a cluster of green gas appeared ahead as Arden continued trudging. "Ahh!" Arden exclaimed softly as he started at the region of the passage in front of him which was complete cliuded by the cluster of green gases. "what the hell, is this a poison miasma, looks like I have hit a dead end" Arden blurted as he halted his advance. A chill ran down his spine as he hastily turned around to retreat. However, just when he to
Chapter8: Contract Arden shivered in fright at the sight of the gigantic snake but at the same time, he wondered if it was the same snake he saw in the mural previously because the giant snake was golden in color and also had a horn in the center of it's head which made it resemble a dragon. Very much like the one in the murals. "Get back" Arden said to Evnor as he pulled her behind him while pointing the serpent suppression pole at it, he had a terrible feeling that this very snake was the poisonous serpent king which the system had warned him about. "sssssss!" The giant serpent's eye condescendingly glared at Arden, it suddenly hissed, a powerful presence which shook the whole underground system surged out of it's body. The mere sight of it's presence nearly made Arden and Evnor into a kneeling position. Both of them gritted their teeth and exerted all the strength and energy in their body to remain standing. Upon seeing that the two ants dared to resist its might, the pois
