Chapter 30 A bet is a bet

In the brink of an eye, the field was cleared and there were only two cars available at the venue,

Grandfather Oliver kept his mute he didn't utter anything. He felt stupid and insulted for betting on Warren. But had he not bet on him he would be laughed at and mocked at the same time they wouldn’t invest with him. But after several considerations, he felt more stupid for putting his egg in a broken basket.

"This is a street boy who barely knows what a race means." The men said in a mocking tone.

"Stop it!” Jake quickly urged his father. Then talked to him by the side. “Father, why did you agree to them, Warren can't race, what if the worse happens and you lose the deal? Everything where will that leave us."

Grandfather Oliver gave this some wistful thought and sighed, "In the street, at least I won't accept defeat just like that."

What was going on? From the look of things Warren looked confident and he doesn't seem to fidget at all.
