Chapter 54 Kicked the bucket

It was early in the morning when the sun smiled on Sawyer blessing her features and she shot her other eyes open to find a man sitting beside her.

“Warren, you should be at work! Why are you here?”

“Watching over you, I'm glad you've gotten better.” Sawyer couldn't hide the blush that covered her cheeks.

She rolled, Warren held the headrest and held it up she adjusted and rested her back on it.

“Don't go to such an event without knowing the nature of the people that will be seated there.”

Sawyer held her hand to her aching head, and flashes from yesterday night came to her. “You were drugged, in high quantity, I wrote a letter to your workplace. You will be given one week to rest at home and recover.,”

Sawyer's eyes flashed open when her mother stood behind Warren, her eyes steaming red listening to everything he said. Sawyer didn't mind her even though he knew she was there.
