"I don't understand what happened back at the mansion." Alex Waynee's voice was hoarse, as he gazed out the window of the Aston Martin.

Silence enveloped the car for about 30 seconds before Eric Raymond replied.

"Lord Wayne, I assure you that the men behind all this shenanigan will be brought to justice in this life, and not in the next one."

His face was etched with a mixture of reassurance and sadness for the young boy Michael Belmar.

"My greatest concern is for the well-being of Michael….I need him alive." His voice was laced with authority.

The intonation of his voice caused Eric Raymond to gaze at his face in askance.

"The boy will be fine…I hope so." His hands were wobbly as he continued driving at an unprecedented speed.

"What's that smell?" His voice was laced with concern as he twitched his nose and stared around the car in bewilderment.

The car was gradually getting filled with smoke, blurring the vision of both Alex Waynee and Eric Raymond.
