"Grandma! You wouldn't be serious about letting Sandra leave the administration, right? Donald Douglas's voice is laced with fear as he paces up and down Lady Karen Douglas's office.
The office was a beauty in the making, the backdrop behind Lady Karen Douglas displaying the numerous business grand awards she had won, an impressive tableau that seemed to stretch out for miles.
"Relax, Donald… I know what I'm doing… how did you think I was able to get Janet to ditch Alex Waynee even though your grandfather had betrothed her to Alex Waynee before his mysterious death." Her voice was hoarse as she continued to sign the files on her desk without sparing Donald Douglas a glance.
"Grandma, as I am talking to you she is done packing her stuff and she has already left the complex…Grandma! do something…you realize Sandra Douglas plays a crucial role in this company…removing her now that we have more competitors out there in the market…wouldn't be in our favour." His voice was reeking with trepidation as he paced around feeling very uneasy.
"Don't worry about her Donald, She will come around." Her voice was laced with relief, as she continued with her work.
Moments later… at Moonstone Suites.
Alex Waynee is patting Sandra Douglas on the back, she is weeping as she straws up her cold yoghurt.
"Alex Waynee, do you love me?... Because I have been through a lot of hurt…just to keep this relationship going." Her eyes welling with tears as she rests her head on Alex Waynee's shoulder.
"Sandra… I really love you and appreciate you for your kindness…you have really been my support since the first day I stepped into the Douglas family…and I promise, your grandmother will surely regret ever sacking you." His voice was surprisingly laced with authority.
Sandra tilts her head in bewilderment, as she wonders what was with the sudden change in his face and voice.
"What do you mean…She will regret…We really can't do anything about it…can we?" Her voice tremulous as she falls back placing her head back on his shoulder.
"I mean anything can happen…we live in a world of all possibilities… don't you believe you can suddenly become the CEO of a great company like Elvis global empire?" He says, his eyebrows pulled up as he gazed into Sandra Douglas' eyes.
Hahaha!!!
Sandra Douglas laughs out loud, her laughter draws the attention of everyone around them.
"Isn't this Sandra Douglas, the daughter of late Lord Jerry Douglas…She was just sacked by her grandmother, for refusing to marry the rich and prominent Edward Hinnberg."
The voices of the two ladies talking could be heard by almost everyone in the restaurant. They were staring at their phones. Immediately Sandra Douglas swiped her phone and went to the official site of the Douglas global empire and she saw it.
Her name had been listed as part of those who were sacked for low performance.
With a bad report like this sweeping around on the internet, her chances of getting a job in whistling meadows were now slashed from one to zero.
"This is really bad, what am I going to tell my parents…this isn't good." Her voice was tremulous as she swiped her phone, beads of sweat built up on her face and her heart throbbing faster than usual, Alex Waynee could hear her heartbeat a thousand times in a minute.
To Sandra Douglas' bewilderment, she looks up to see the face of Alex Waynee wearing a smirk, an unusual smile that should never be there, especially at this moment when she, his fiancée was panicking.
Picking up his phone, Alex Waynee tests Eric Raymond and demands he calls the Vice President of Elvis Global Empire, Mr Mark, and tells him that he will be resuming work the next day.
Moments later….
Alex Waynee and Sandra Douglas are approaching their house.
"If you got an appointment to be the New CEO of Elvis global empire would you accept it or decline it?" He asks, smiling gleefully.
"Stop imagining things, you have been acting weird these days… have you been taking too much vodka?" She asks as she touches his beardless face.
Her hand caressing his skin as she shoves her hands into his shirt, feeling the hairs on his chest. Since they had been together they had never slept together, they decided never to do so until after their marriage.
"Stop it…we are on the road…and remember we promised never to do it until we are officially married." Alex Waynee says subtly as he pulls her hand off his shirt.
Just then the door of their sitting room opens revealing an angry Mr Robert and Mary, they had been on the news watching Lady Karen Douglas brag about sacking her granddaughter from the family company.
"So your plans have finally worked out… you have succeeded in ruining the promising life and future of my daughter." Mr Robert's voice is vehement and laced with pure venom, as he rushes out the glass door to slap Alex Waynee, Sandra Douglas steps in, blocking her dad's hand from hitting her fiance.
With more venom in her eyes, Mrs Mary gazed at the man she believed had ruined her entire life, if it wasn't for Alex Waynee, she and her family would have been on Lady Karen Douglas' good side.
"You fool! Why wouldn't you just let my daughter be…you have succeeded in ruining her life, and her career and next you might want to take her life…you idiot…why wouldn't you just crawl back to the orphanage…Lord Jerry Douglas is dead…no one wants you…leave my daughter alone." Her voice is extremely harsh and annoying.
She moved a step further to grab her daughter, but before her hands could grab the hem of her gown, Sandra Douglas fell backwards into the hands of Alex Waynee, who took her out of the house area.
"Where are we going?" She asks as she gazes at her watch…. The time was 9.00 pm in the night.
The sound of their feet was all they could hear, the full moon was casting a silvery glow on the quiet path, a sense of enchantment was in the air as Alex Waynee opened the door of the garden park.
"Welcome to a place where I go to find peace, whenever the world is after me."
He says, smiling gleefully, exposing his perfect dentition.
As he spoke, his phone rang and it was a text from Eric Raymond.
'Come to the east part of the garden park. Master Alex'
Staring at his phone, he tells Sandra Douglas to wait at the Well.
Moments later…
"Young master! It's not safe here… I have a lead that the killers of your parents are now aware of your existence and may strike anytime soon… you really need to reconsider staying here, in whistling meadows… young master you should come with me at once." Eric Raymond's voice is tremulous, beads of sweat build up on his face and slowly hit the grassy floor.
"Mr Eric Raymond! I can take care of myself… just make sure Mr Mark is aware of my visitation to Elvis' global empire…that would be all." His voice was Ortund and laced with authority.
"Okay, sir…could you consider taking this gun and Garry as your guard?" His voice is vehement and echoes through the garden.
Without sparing him another glance, his feet stomping the grassy floor, he shakes his head in disapproval of what his personal butler just said.
"Take them home… I don't need them" His voice a whisper as he walked away from Mr. Eric Raymond.
On reaching the garden, he met Sandra Douglas who was looking worried as she stared at a white envelope, her face laced with trepidation, and her body was quaky.
"Here… that man you were staring at the other day at Havila Suites… came in here… he…sa..id…I should give you this." Her voice was quaky as she managed to stutter those words.
Opening the Letter, he couldn't believe his eyes.
The letter was written in a handwriting he could recall, the letter read…
'I know who killed your father, mother and the heirs of the Wayne family, find me if you really want to know the truth.'
"What the hell!"
"Shit!"Watch where you are going…you just slipped hot coffee all over my shirt." The voice of Edward Hinnberg was laced with anger, raising his eyes, his demeanor changed immediately. His fist clenched, and he gritted his teeth, his heart heaved up and down in anger. His eyes were ablaze as he set them on the one who had ruined his presentation outfit."If it ain't you bastard!... What are you doing here…did you miss your way to the market…c'mon let me see the list of things your mother-in-law sent to go get at the market…the market is that way bastard." His voice was laced with pure hatred as though every word was dripping venom, his eyes burning with a furious intensity that could ignite a wildfire of conflict at any moment."Edward…am really sor…" Those words didn't come out of his mouth completely as Edward completely emptied the remaining coffee on his head and over his black shirt."This should teach him to look properly and not walk around without his eyes, bumping into people
Who is this man that has been stalking me? What the hell does he want from me? What does he know about my mom and dad Charles and Jessica Wayne? All this and many thoughts ran through his mind as he stared intently out the window of the 7th floor of Dex Palm palace. He had a bottle of wine and a plate of lasagna on his table. It was a cold evening, the sun was just setting beyond the horizon, casting a warm amber glow that painted the rooms in the hue of orange and gold. The rich aroma of the lasagna filled the air, blending with the fruity notes of the wine. As he took a sip of the wine and a forkful of the lasagna, he couldn't help but appreciate the simple yet comforting beauty of the moment. The Dex Palm Palace was just one of the luxury hotels Eric Raymond had secured for him today. Staring intently at his grandfather's smartphone, he thought of the best way to punish that animal that calls himself Gwen Falls. Swiping through his phone he searched for Gwen's YouTube chann
"Did you say he didn't see this message?" His voice is laced with authority as he turns her hand back to her face."Wow! That wasn't there 10 seconds ago!" She stared deeply into Alex's eyes."Alex Waynee!""I know all your secrets…I know everything you are hiding." Her voice is hypnotic."You say what now?" "I know all your secrets…I know who you truly are beneath." Her voice was hypnotic as she gazed intently into Alex Waynee's eye. Trepidation reeked all over Alex Waynee's body, beads of sweat building down his cheeks. 'How on earth did she find out who I truly was?' 'Does she truly know?' This and many thoughts ran through the mind of Alex Waynee as he stared into the eyes of Sandra Douglas, his face expressionless. "So when were you going to tell me?" She said as she sipped her wine, her eyes reeking all over Alex Waynee as though trying to suck the secret right out of him, the weight of her question hung in the air as the tension between them thickened. "Tell you wha
Waking up early due to excitement, Sandra Douglas steps into the bathroom to take her bath. Alex Waynee couldn't help but stare at her through the opaque glass door of the bathroom. He gazed as the warm water cascaded down her body like a soothing waterfall. Her laughter filled the room, a joyful melody that danced with the steam rising from the hot shower. The scent of lavender soap filled the air, intertwining the hum with her favourite song playing on the radio. With every drop of water that fell from her, Alex Waynee's dream of making Sandra Douglas his own tightens. He couldn't fathom another man having Sandra's heart and waking up to the enchanting site he just witnessed. It was a memory he would never forget, Sandra had such lovely skin.He watched as droplets of water clung to her skin, like liquid diamonds, each one a reminder of the moments they shared.Moments later…"Wish me luck, baby." Sandra's voice was hypnotic as she held Alex Waynee's soft hands. Her gaze was so inte
Stepping into the office area, Sandra Douglas gazed at the super complex, the building was over 200+ storeys, and in front of this towering giant, a vast expanse of lush, impeccably manicured grassy area stretched out.The scent of freshly mowed grass wafted on the breeze, the area provided a tranquil oasis amidst the concrete and steel. The building stood as a testament to luxury and opulence, its design an extravagant symphony of modern aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. Each window reflected the wealth and aspirations of a great master craftsman. The sheer height of the building made it a quintessential icon of status and achievements in the city.Truly Elvis's global empire was a place where dreams were turned into reality, where innovation met extravagance, and where the sky was quite literally your standing point.Moments later…"Miss Sandra Douglas, welcome to Elvis global empire, let me show you your office." The voice of Mr Mark caused Sandra to shudder.Mr Mark had his
It's getting pretty dark, the noise from Tripx nightclub was deafening. The thumping bass reverberated through the air, drowning out any attempt at conversation.Strobe lights cast fleets, disorienting shadows. The atmosphere was thick with the intoxicating smell of sweat and colognes."I think the bouncers should employ an armpit check at the door…here, stinks like hell." Alex Waynee's voice was loud as he twitched his nose.Everyone looked almost the same as they all had masks over their faces. The masks are an array of glittering, bizarre creations, concealing everyone's identity."Why didn't she tell you it was a mask party…how on earth are we supposed to find Donald with all this noise and dweebs twerking about almost half-naked." Alex Waynee's voice is vehement as he stares at Sandra. His face was expressionless."Well, let's split up then…we really need to find out what Donald knows about Grandpa's death." Her voice was tremulous. The club was filled up, finding Donald Douglas
"I am your worst nightmare." Alex Waynee's voice slightly above Whispers as he bends down to meet face-to-face with Jack Osborne and his dad."You see…I actually warned you…but you wouldn't listen…now it's blown up in your face like a hot bag of tomato sauce." His voice was laced with what Walter Osborne would consider sympathy. Little did he know that Alex Waynee was just getting started.Alex Waynee runs his hands into Jack's head and gently pats him on the head."This is just the beginning of your sorrows…I promised to take all your family ever worked for…I'm just getting started." His eyes were burning with fury as though he was an inferno unleashed, his eyes ablaze with a chilling determination that seemed to search the very soul of his target. Each word was laced with a venomous resolve, a calculated malice that sent shivers down the spine of both Jack Osbourne and his dad.As Alex Waynee leaned in closer, his breath felt like an icy draft against their skin. The air around them
Alex Waynee could swear he had been here before. The mango tree in the field danced in tune with the wind. It leaves falling like snow. The nostalgic sensation was just too much for Alex Waynee to bear. Walking around he tried to remember anything he could, but his mind was foggy as though clouded with feelings he didn't want to rattle.Stepping to the wall, His footsteps print on the wet cement steps. As he touched the wall, he clearly remembered being here.He gazed back at Eric Raymond who was rather busy on the phone. Then it all came rushing back at him, seeing a mark of a Lizard which he drew on the wall, the realization of the place he was hit him like a lightning bolt of recognition. His breath caught in his chest, and a wave of memories flooded his mind like a tidal wave crashing upon the shores. This wasn't just any random place, it was the hidden haven of his childhood. This place was the sanctuary where he found peace in a way. A place where he spent countless afternoons
